I am truly ashamed of my manicured life, I protest and whinge for nothing if I compare myself with her. I wonder why her husband is not helping with some chores, but that is probably down to culture. Seeing this makes me a little sad. It reminded me of our life as children in the late 50s and early 60s. My mother worked so hard to feed and clothe us. I especially remember her working in the cotton and tobacco fields, and then coming home to make a full meal each night . I remember her cooking on a wood stove when the outside temp was a 100 degrees F. Brutal. And then she died at 48, just when her last child was grown up. I salute all of the hardworking women and mothers of the world.
That made me 😢 cry, but then I thought how fortunate you and your siblings were to have had such a wonderful, beautiful mother who loved you so much she literally sacrificed her life for her children. She deserves “ Mother Of The Century Award”. I am so sad (and feel a righteous anger) she had to work all day in cotton and tobacco fields. I’m pretty sure the wealthy overlords who owned those fields didn’t have wives who had to cook on wood stoves in the heat like that. Your mother and thousands that came before her made that possible for the Tobacco Companies who, I feel, OWE the people who made them so wealthy. I lived in Southern Georgia when I was 15. It was an eye-opening experience for me to see that...coming from the Upper Midwest. I saw the disparity of income and the inequality of African Americans picking cotton and then I saw the mansions where the White people lived near those fields. I hated that then and now. You were blessed though that you had a mother who just did what she had to do, at any cost, to feed you and make sure you had clothes and were loved and cared for. And that really is the greatest wealth a person could have... The LOVE OF A MOTHER. I grew up without a mother.

The poverty is striking, the animals in an extremely unhealthy condition -- while the children recite their Chinese. China, a country that stole Tibet and spends billions in its goals to be the world authority, while these beautiful people toil in back-breaking labor filled days, reminiscent of the Middle Ages. Thank you to her brother in law for producing this honest film.
I really enjoyed this video of this hardworking, humble LADY and her family. One of the things that impresses me so much is she maintains such a clean and tidy house under trying (to me, an American, at least) circumstances. Sitting on my cosy couch in my beautiful home, sipping on hot tea and eating a lovely ham salad sandwich I felt extremely grateful for the privilege of being a westerner in the UK where everything is done almost with a push of a button, while this lady works from dawn to dusk. It's her way of life and she seems happy enough but, boy! I'd never want to experience her life hands-on. Can you imagine her in a 5 star hotel in London or any city having a beautiful soak in a rolled topped bath a pamper day and food bought to her on a tray? I wish I could do that for her. Blessings to you and your family. 🙏🏻🇬🇧❤️
This is a lovely documentary of a Tibetan woman's life. I love her beautiful home with all its natural elements. I saw a hand built house, chopped and stacked wood, heaps of gathered straw, piles of dung for fuel and people are commenting that the men are lazy. She doesn't have the time in a day to do all of that as well. Someone else is doing that. My mouth was watering over her magnificent bread!
Out of all cultures the Tibet woman is. By far the most hardworking! Foreign! Strong beautiful women. I’ve ever seen! Waw ! I live in uk 🇬🇧 and life, is not easy, but these, Tibet women, will out shine eny other cultures I’ve seen. They only have two children, so amazing documentary. Well put. Together I must say
I'm just halfway through this and paused to comment that Sgrolmamtsho seems such a tranquil person and cheerful too. She even smiles when the calf pulls on his rope and runs off and just goes calmly and fetches him back to his hay! I like their stove- it looks like it cooks their bread and dumplings well. It is a privilege to watch a snapshot of her life. I was eating my own meal at the beginning of this and was struck how easy we have it in the West, and here is me fed up with low water pressure in my bathroom!
Thumbs up to this woman waking up earlier than everyone for her family and do all the work without complaining.May God transform her life and bless her so much!
Thank you for sharing a glimpse into another lifestyle. It was very informative. The Tibetan woman is a good strong worker, a true Proverbs 31 woman. A Proverbs 31 woman rises first, directs her household, works late into the night, buys & sells to make family profit and ascertains her husband is seen as a respectable member in their society. This lady gives honor to her family with all her efforts. Many commenters forget this clip is about the woman and is only 50 minutes of her total day. I see more Tibetan clips are available and look forward to viewing them.
I was in awe of this woman's courage, hard work and understanding of how education is primordial in these times..she is to be admired..she lovingly works hard for the love of her family..moi, Canada 🇨🇦
Every normal woman is a multitasking worker in her house. Multitasking in your own house is freedom. While living in your country for the only reason to pay taxes to your government is slavery.
All races of people in their own countries have the right to self determination .The women in the video is heroic ,her smile says that what she is doing ,she is doing out of love for her husband and children.I am sure her husband does something as well ,the video concentrates on her tasks.Western women on the other hand are often very spoiled, also very ungrateful, selfish ,rude and unfaithful to their husbands, and thats if they even get past a few weeks or months of marriage .The Greeks have a saying " The woman makes or breaks the Home ",and its true. Also in alot of western countries men are villified eg Australia,England,America .And it seems that this is coming out in the comments people are making here.
We don’t do it because we want to but we had to. If this woman or our grandmothers didn’t do all those work in silence then they wouldn’t be beaten? Then the family, society would tell them, It's woman fault. Sad to hear this, we always are the mother, sister, wife but never a human. We always belong to some male.
Zannatul is very correct 👍 We are always belong and bound to do that .We are human beings just like men.We have our own goals,.ambiticns and our dreams........ The reality is we don't want to be work , work and we woman are sacrifice our own goals, Our dreams .....Men do they do the same like us.They have their freedom to choose ..We specialy Asian and African women don't have freedom to choose what we want in our life.Others are controling,, because they have our remotes in THEIR bl..y hands.We.have dreams ....too.. I am so sorry.... the truth is always bitter than what we see....We have our own stories.... think..then you will realize the truth.
This is really wonderful, beautifully done. You made it possible for me to see the life of a Tibetan woman! thank you !!!!! Over one million views. Excellent.
Seeing this lady hard working make me think of my mother . When I was a kid like those in the video, my mom dressed me in cold winter days! And prepared the barely available food to feed us six siblings! I love my mum forever! God bless all great mothers in the world!
Thank you! My ancestors left Tibet a long time ago. Tall, fair-haired and blue-eyed people are very similar to Russians. In the 17th century, they moved to Lake Baikal. They adopted Christianity and took the names of their godfathers Russian fathers. Today we live in Russia. It is very nice to know that we have much left of our ancestors. I was very glad to see familiar rites. National drink! I cook it with eggs and fat milk. Thanks for the movie!
Excellent job, Pohua Dondrup. As a woman who wishes to become a homesteader, I will watch several times to capture the essence of the processes of the Tibetan matriarch. The layout of the home compound, the architecture, tools and cookware are all so interesting. Life in Tibet is harsh, and resources so few, that viewing even dirt, dung and ashes as resources is a beautiful concept. Thank you for putting forth such a rich message!
I am humbled by her. I would never cope in her situation. Just wish that the men in the world would pull their weight and shoulder some of the hard work that is expected from their women. It is the same throughout the world. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing insight into the life of a Tibetan family.
I disagree, a face does not lie. Feminists faces look in disarray, hateful, nasty and ugly. No comparison her face looks pure and beautiful Her work is devoted to taking care and raising her family. Maybe her husband is a bad example but most of the task she does rightfully is a priviledge for women to do. That is why she is blessed with a beautiful soul face and heart. Nature does not lie.
Why can't women just be happy that they are honored with such work. ..if the roles were reversed people would be bad talking the woman. I am sure each has their role....this video happens to be about a woman.

This hard working woman is also a lesson for many who thinks just by working they get tired and lazy. She is simply superb, she is active through out the day. May God bless her and family.
She also does field work, collecting of firewood, tends to her animals and helps the men with the fertilizer she takes back to the field by herself to unload and spread by herself. She has the strength of many men. God will bless this woman.
These people are so resourceful, nothing goes to waste. Añd the bread she makes is so white and fluffy ! Im envious . This is a beautiful family. Thank you for a very good video.
Thanks for the video! This video is a tribute to the woman who can smile and serve her family. Spiritually strong. Life is not easy but in this remote area, still beautiful. The man has to work away from home and can't help much with house work without being a hinderance! The kids are also trained in the system. A gentle race with true unassumed discipline.

I totally I agree with you, the husband is supposed to be helping her even taking care of animals. It pure selfishness to let your wife take full responsibility.

Imma Goofball reminds me of my mom, she was raised this way and brought her hard old school work ethic to America.. most newer cultures could never understand this way of living.
This is a strong woman. We all must admire her for all she does and under very difficult conditions . I hope her dreams and wishes for her sons can come true, she knows the importance of education, and since her dreams were ken fro her as a child, perhaps things will be happier in future. Thank you for this insightful video!
I am humbled too. It is easy to find ten million women in america -literallly and none will come close to a fraction as good and beautiful inside out as a woman like this one. This is no hyperbole, this is litterally the case and it puts light on ancient scriptures when god said if I find 50 righteous i will spare Sodome and Ghomorra. What if there were only 45. Then he said on account of the 45 righteous ones i will spare the city... this goes on until 10..... But there were not 10. The city was destroyed. This is was some civilizations deserve today. As sodome and Ghomora was no worse.
I don't think you have to insult any! It is the life! I used to live where no water no light no money, now I am in the U.S. I have everything. When I go back home I saw those women beggers I would spare her some monies. She couldn't choose the life like us in the U.S.
YES YES AND YES 🙌🏼 I also appreciate my husband more than I did. He cuts the wood for our fireplace, cleans it, fills it with wood and starts it. He does the heavy work. 💪🏼
@Jo Jo8 Are you asking if that is all he does? LOL, NO. He works all day, this he does when he gets home. I never do yard work. He would not feel like a man if his wife was doing ALL the outside work, this woman does, plus ALL the inside work. He would never sleep while I went to get water for the home. Thank God I have running water in home. She is a very hard worker. Waiting for the video that shows what a day in his life looks like.
Wow, and I thought getting the kids to school, working all day, then coming home to cook dinner, and maybe 30 minutes of housework was a difficult life! I'll never complain again after seeing what this poor lady goes through in a day, especially the walk to the river, thank God she doesn't have to do that any longer! Bless her heart, what a strong lady, my hat is off to her!
i watched this movie it amazing, i admire these women, they hardworking and they don't complain, very loyal, no complaints, very caring, they don't think about themselves only about the kids and the house, , i love them they are beautiful in and out and there is alot to learn from them.

@@VaPensiero_ You're such a myopic fool. I made these comments so she could study and become a teacher or something like that so she wouldn't be house-bound.
@@beazleteats4031 I hope you are very young, so it’s just a naiveté. Most probably, you’ve been protected by the city for all your life, with access to potable water (hot and cold), electricity, gas, heating and more on your whim. You most probably bought your food; you didn’t have to grow it yourself and to take care of your future food (crops and animals) on the daily basis. She’s house-bound, because that’s how they survive. That’s how people live in this region, mostly from agriculture. She takes care of her kid, she cooks for several people, she takes care of the animals, she works in fields, she repairs clothes, she cleans - and all that without access to water and electricity, so she needs to fetch water and wood every day. Dude, if she can have 20 minutes a day to study - that’d be such a huge sacrifice, I’m not sure it’s even humanely possible. This woman works all day long EVERY day for years. Her body and mind are exhausted. She needs electricity and running water. Then she could just sit down and do nothing for a moment, because all her life she’s being doing something every moment of her day. Her body and mind would recover a bit and she’d decide by herself what to do with her time. Also, how do you imagine becoming a teacher? Do you think learning to read is enough to become one? I guess your intentions are good, but you see things from your “civilized-city-born” perspective, and it doesn’t work this way everywhere on the planet. My previous comment was a sarcastic one, though now I’m not sure you appreciate sarcasm.
I still have such a bakery at home in Roumania. My grandparents cooks the bread in the same way.And was more plentiful than the bread is today...Thank you very much for this documentary!
@Zoë Lafantaisie I grew up in a similar household... Everything you see in the household featured in this video is provided by the man's hard work. In that part of the world, a woman would have a hard time surviving without a man by her side; they truly are partners. As for the western world, if tomorrow men stopped doing the heavy lifting... well, I'll let you imagine for yourself what the outcome of our cozy society would be. So, keep on bashing men...
She is a controlled slave. She was forced to give up her childhood, her schooling for a selfish sister, than slaves her tush off for a husband who stays in bed while she walks a mile each morning to get their water, make their breakfast before his highness gets up, than gets served. She smiles and submits. Wonder who will care for her when her body wears out?
@faridah hanum well, not all day. He didn't get up until after she fetched the water, changed the soil and brought in wood and set the fire for warmth and cooking. He poured water to the dieties, worked at some point. Her job was from the beginning of the day until the end, well after his work was finished. Its always been that way.
@faridah hanum women also work the field and when the men leave the fields is his work done? It is quite typical of most countries developed or otherwise that women ideally work way before the men get up and way after they return.
This is a wonderful video, I really enjoyed being able to see how a Tibetan woman lives her life, fascinating. I liked that there was no verbal commentary or background music, just the natural sound of life being lived by a strong and beautiful woman. It is sad that she feels bad that she didn’t go to school; please tell her that I think that what she does is amazing, and that I believe that education is overrated!
Oh my dear GOD I feel so humbled watching this adorable woman ..no words to describe her dedication to her household..even to her animals wow !!!This is contentment in it's true form, I think this is how GOD intended humanity to live ...Sole allegiance to GOD , in trust , faith & dependence. She does NOT need a TV or computer or a telephone or any high tech to live her life. I don't see any pollution , simple sustainable lifestyle. The kids are happy, respectful and just go abt their routine..the dad looks exhausted I'm sure of working outside somewhere and mama has EVERYTHING under control with a happy demeanor. GOD BLESS them all and provide for their daily needs. Mighty woman , may GOD continue to give all mothers who work so hard strength & perfect health to care for their families . Thx for the video, watched it 3 times in succession :) Love from Canada .
She doesn't have a minute for herself, let alone TV or internet. It's ironic when western women admire that kind of lifestyle from the comfort of their houses.
I really enjoy this type of video. I have watched this many, many times because it feels so peaceful watching it without all the narrator talking over their natural noises. Can you film more of the daily life of Tibetan people? Thank you.
Она говорит,что обязанность замужней женщины слушаться мужа, рожать и воспитывать детей,вести хозяйство, этому учат с детства.Совсем почти как у нас на Кавказе.
It's do it or starve though. Just as westerners get up and follow a "go-to-work" routine five or more days per week, this is how many throughout the world survive. It's not really a question of dedication. It's does she want to eat and feed her family, her animals etc. She doesn't have a choice. No work. No food and that was the norm for thousands of years. Only now do women, particularly in the west, want praise for doing what is essentially a duty for survival. Women complain about having to do the laundry, when they just throw it into a whole and hit a button. It's insane.
Tibetan woman's life is a hard life, even with the piped water, although I'm sure that was a great help. She always seems to have a smile on her face, a true multitasker. Seems to be a really nice person. Interesting to see her use of the starter, then preparing it for use for the next day, the way all bread was made pre shop bought yeast. Don't think I saw her sit down with her family to eat once, not too many helping her in that house. Thanks for making this film, great to see this side of life in Tibet.
This lady deserves all the respect, and help, she can get. I'd last about 2 hours into the first morning when I realized my husband intended to sleep in and then do nothing to help with the backbreaking chores. I will never complain about having too much to do ever again.

@@syndee8550 I never said what that woman did was nothing. Why don't you wake up? I said alot of people have and still do work as hard. And it hasnt been that long ago. Anything happens to our machinery or technology and we'll be right back at it.
I love how the internet can connect us all no matter where we are.
Sending love to you and your family from the UK
Primative conditions but very clean housekeeping.Hardworking woman, may your life be blessed.
MOTHERS all over the world are same brother. A woman becomes an Avatar as soon as she becomes mother. Prayers for your mother. Love from Pakistan.
I am still trying to say something with english but i just optimist it would be better as soon as posible, i try active joined at video's comments in Internet, This video makes me remember with my mother at the Village how to he's do everything like almost similiar with the mother and makes me very sad too.. May God blessing all mother in the Word and is in

I cannot say her work is honorable by today's standards. She is diligent, resolute and honorable. The poverty is striking, the animals in an extremely unhealthy condition -- while the children recite their Chinese.
Patricia I wonder if they eat vegetables? Even the poor in china have a more balanced meal with soup, fish, buns, meat and veggies.
What are vegetables
Thank you for showing this beautiful family. I am forever grateful!
Such a touching story.... this woman is very intelligent... she is a hard working mother. God bless her
Thank you for sharing a glimpse into another lifestyle.

"Without literacy the mind decays." - Joemasue. What wise words.

May all cultures be left alone, That woman is a multi-tasking machine. My the good lord they pray to give her a healthy long life.
She probably doesn't want one😂

Maybe so Tania she is aging soon her back will be bent her life span will be short that is sad work load should be shared

Hi,continue to make wonderful post ,Godbless
I hope you were fair enough to pay this lady to video them.

@Jo Jo8 Are you asking if that is all he does? LOL, NO. He works all day, this he does when he gets home. I never do yard work. @@VaPensiero_ You're such a myopic fool. I made these comments so she could study and become a teacher or something like that so she wouldn't be house-bound.
@@beazleteats4031
I hope you are very young, so it’s just a naiveté.
@@VaPensiero_ it is exactly as you wrote!

So, keep on bashing men...
may people wake up and treat each other equally

yes.\that's we live longer than men 'cos we are constantly on the move! She reminds me of my granny who died at 103yrs in 2012. Viva!
@@rockie6890 I wonder how much strength this woman has to withstand such a rhythm of life?
Thanks for the showing the rare side of the world. #I just loved it lot .🥰
That was the most work I have ever seen anyone do. Jeez! Very interesting documentary.
Wonderful video now we need Part 2 Tibetan Man's Life.
BEAUTIfUL film!
BEAUTIFUL woman!
Many thanks for sharing this!
I bet those beautiful animals love her.
I really enjoy this type of video. I have watched this many, many times because it feels so peaceful watching it without all the narrator talking over their natural noises. Can you film more of the daily life of Tibetan people? Thank you.
I have watched this a lot of time. I love the way she makes bread
I admire these hard-working women. Nothing is easy for them, but they do not complain.
I'll never complain about my life again.
I still will. haha

What can I say?? So much respect for this hardworking Lady!Brilliant Documentary.Thank you from England X
Excellent, her hard work, her dedication her strength, wisdom are amazing
What dedication she has for her work.we need helpers and appliances for work to do.she is single handedly doing all chores unstoppable.great woman!
VAISHALI The more we westerners have the more our laziness grows !
In our village side usually men look after cattle and women do cooking ,household chores. These women are made to do so much work which is not fair
Snow Drop + you are very right
Muy laboriosas la señora , se nota muy noble debe ser el pueblo de Tíbet, saludos desde Arequipa Perú me gustó el video, Viva Tíbet por la libertad !!!!!!!!

Deepak Bohara I agree with you bro.
I needed to see this. I said many prayers for this wonderful woman. I also prayed for God to forgive the husband for being lazy, neglectful, a poor example to his children, cold hearted, pathetic, a free loader, selfish, a bad partner to his wife, for not doing any responsibilities as head of the household. I simply ran out of time to keep praying for him....
Beautiful, strong and intelligent women I admire her a lot. I hope one day her children will understand how hard she works for the whole family
