This was great. The info was like a light bulb on my head. Locking the AF. and that is why I come here 😁😁😁 I'm such a green horn...😂😂😂
Everyone is at different stages and that is totally ok! Glad you took away something valuable!
Awesome! I miss these shorter videos from creator on youtube!
Thanks.... much more interesting than all "camera settings and technical specifications" that RUclips is full of anyway... THIS type of stuff is what we really want to see!! More more more please :)
This was an epic tutorial.. I'm shooting a dancer pretty regularly lately and the locking focus tip was just what I needed. That final shot you took was just incredible
The expensive camera and lens help the work and quality, but I'm pretty sure you'd be able to take a similar shot with an entry camera. True craft! Ps: do some more critique the community with F stoppers!!!
That was such a cool tutorial! Absolutely loved it. Thank you. I’m soon going to shoot a child outdoors, this helped and would love to see more of such videos
Looks better without the sand but definitely a great shot and very informative.
Thanks for watching!
Pye your tips are always the best. I'm looking for a video of you that teaches dramatic photography with backlight and flash in the sand too, like this one, but it seems that the sportsman is doing “pushups” and also throws sand in the air, I need to watch this video again. Do you know which one i'm talking about? Can you pass me the link?
Great approach, thx
An adequate adjustment might be subbing “outfit” for “apparel”. Great vid!
Great lesson. I liked the pic w/o the sand.
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Great info
The pic with sand definitely!
Super cool shots
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
Poor Derek😄😄 but shots are awesome 👏👏👏👍👍👍 I liked the first one 🤗
I love that you pointed out that you're wearing a mask, but you just had it on your chin 😂 Cool shots though!
Was about to comment on that, too. Well at least they social distanced themselves from everyone else.
He had to take it off to explain the tutorial (since he is mic'd up). Disclaimer is in the bio.
@@slrlounge If it was an audio issue you guys were aware of, why not take off the mask entirely instead of making Pye look ridicolous and even worse a bad role model (200.000 infected and 5000 dead in LA County)? Also I don't think "Excuse me for infecting you with covid but I had to take my mask off, so people could hear me in my RUclips tutorial better" is that good of an excuse, you know. Also also having that disclaimer underneath your sign up link does not make things better. If I'm not mistaken you guys did videos before were you shot the shooting completely without commentary on location and added that later via voice over in post. Might be something to consider for future tutorials if I hadn't seen others doing vids with mask on and being audible perfectly fine.
@@slrlounge All good! I just thought it was funny cause I see people out in public with their masks just like that.
I was worry about it... but he’s saying he’s wearing a mask😷 , what relief
Lol
Dumb question: how do you lock the focus? Switch to MF? Back button focusing?
MF switch
particles always make an image more energetic!
This is why I come here. I usually leave it in AFC on my A7iii and it's pretty good but can miss. Now that won't happen.
I like the perspective thing. Can you figure in sometime limited abilities. If I laid down I would need 20 minutes and have someone hold my camera to get back up.
Great!
Oh my gosh! You know I LOVE these!! @southerngirlsociety from over on Instagram - the one always asking you all kinds of questions about these super cool tik-tok videos you're doing now! HAA! I LOVE THEM!! One question - at one point, you said... locked my focus on the tree - does this mean you were using the tree as your reference focus point and you were probably using a super small f/stop to still make sure he was sharp in the frame no matter what? Any chance you can also give us the settings you used to help some of us pleebs wrap our heads around all of this? ;)
I just laughed when he gets off his suit bcoz of the sands lol. But it was a nice and cool shot though. God Bless man!
Had me laughing my ass off at 4:05
Epiccc!!!!!
Woohoo! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thumbnail looks like redd when he got uppercutted by debo
Shot with the sand was fire, and to not have any sand on the camera is divine intervention
Did you maul him with sand?! 🤣 personally preferred the shotnwithout sand but both cool!
Pye... the word is "Fit" just "Fit" 🤣🤣🤣
