How To Make Cashew Milk | The Raw Food Kitchen

  • WELCOME TO THE CASHEW SERIES!
    Stay tuned as I am gonna show you how to make:
    1. Milk. 2. Yoghurt. 3. Sour Cream & 4. Cheese.
    With just one ingredient, the delicious cashew!
    I know so many of you struggle with dairy, especially milk, yoghurts and soft cheeses.
    The dairy industry is also pretty horrific and the amount of processing done to it can really wreak havoc on our guts triggering auto immune responses.
    Many of us (over 90%) don't even have the lactose enzyme to be able to digest all this stuff.
    So I wanna give you MUCH BETTER alternatives.
    This is just a snippet of what's possible on a raw vegan or plant based diet. Did you see my Almond Milk Series from a few weeks back? There are SO many benefits to nuts and seeds IF you know how to prepare them properly and have some amazing go to recipes like these ones.
    LET'S GO!
    INGREDIENTS:
    1C raw cashews
    4C filtered water
    pinch pink salt
    METHOD:
    Soak cashews for 20 minutes until they are soft.
    I prefer not to soak for longer as cashews can get mold on them quite easily if soaked for too long.
    Strain cashews.
    Add to high powered blender jug.
    Add 4C filtered water, and pinch salt.
    Blend for about 60 seconds or until smooth.
    Pour into a 1L / 32 oz mason jar, place lid on & pop in the fridge.
    Will last for about a week.
    Perfect for adding in to sauces, smoothies, in your coffee 😆 in your baking, cereals etc. 😘
