I like how he still gave the clapping guy a little 'hey' after Arsenio told him to ignore him. Very classy - that little gesture showed a LOT about his character. Good dude.
I was about 11 years old when this aired and I was determined to stay up and watch this because I was a huge Bo Jackson fan. I remember watching the intro to the show then the next thing I knew I was waking up and it was the middle of the night. I was so disappointed that I missed the show. Finally got to watch it!
Bo was a beast of an athlete. I think if he wouldn't have had that hip injury, he could have gone down as one of the best athletes ever if not the best.
I finally saw Bo up close inperson. He was riding a bike, wearing those tight , biking clothes, doing that Bo Bikes Bama raising money for Tuscaloosa tornado victims. Folks, you don't realize how "built like a brick-shit house" this man is till you see him. Good , Lord.....
I had always heard that Bo Jackson had a bad stutter and was a very nervous speaker when he first began attending Auburn, but he worked on it and got it to the point you see here.
Thank you so much for posting this video clip ..... Nobody has ever done it like Bo !!! ..... Bo could hit 500 foot home runs and also have 90 yard touchdown runs from scrimmage all in the same year .... Bo is truly the worlds most gifted all around sports player of all time !!!
notice the song at the commercial break..."he's so shy"...he didn't like the spotlight...still doesn't, apparently...but weren't we lucky to have seen him play?
Awesome, and this is coming from a Seahawks fan :) Living in the UK all my life I haven't seen many extended interviews of BJ and he seems very grounded and sincere, especially for a guy who was 26 in this clip. I particularly like his polite, but firm, put down of Deion Sanders. Very true: The only people who ever got anywhere by shooting their mouths off were politicians!
He ran an unofficial 40 time of 4.12....dont say for one second strength....but you also cant say he had more speed because, look at the dude! hes was jacked!
yea gives me inspiration with his impediment. grew up getting picked on because I mumbled and had a problem with th. but worked on it and got better. takes a lot for someone like that to be able to speek in front of the world.
Glad you said this cause my cousin would stutter some. I can only imagine how hard that could be to have to live thru. Thanks to God, for him helping these people get thru it.
Bo was a cool guy. Athletes these days are cocky and arrogant for the mostpart, he had the right to be cockier than anyone but he wasn't. Best athlete of all-time no question, and amazingly humble for just how athletically dominant he truly was.
no question they are both incredible athletes.. sanders was amazing in many aspects of both sports.. but i dont think there's any debating that BO was head and shoulders above any athlete we have ever seen.. the man is simply a mutant!
he was and remains remarkably level-headed about his pro career. can't imagine most athletes these days in big money sports -- especially the ones coming up used 2 having yes men & their ass kissed -- being this grounded & keeping life in its proper perspectives. this man knows the "high life" on top of the sports world & knows what it is to have that taken away. i don't think he cares to this day b/c he had other priorities. right on!
Bo was the man. I grew up not far from him. I am so thankful that I was able to see his career as short as it was. If only Bear had signed him... LOL War Eagle Bo and Roll Tide.
"The only people that get high places by running their mouths is politicians and ain't no room in this game for politics." Dear Bo, oh how things have changed.
"To me the only people that get high places by running their mouths are politicians and there's no room in this game for politics." Fantastic quote @7:52
It was a shot at Deion. Deion made the football HOF. Also played baseball for a decade. Deion hit a HR and scored a touchdown in the same week. Deion has a different personality than Bo did. That was all that was. If you're not going to say something nice about somebody, you shouldn't say anything at all. I respect Bo but just thought that personal shot at Deion was unnecessary.
I liked Arsenio, alright. I taped a show of his when he had; 3rd Eye Blind, one night. Bo Is great, tho. But Im from near Bessemer, Al. and maybe biased.
@@ladymarmaladea.2463 Um.. Yes he did. Basketball and Pro Volleyball. Wilt is in both Halls of fame. And he ran track, high jumped. triple jumped, and putted the shot.

humble humble humble... pound for pound, sport for sport... greatest athlete you will ever see PERIOD
Wish he would teach a class on humility to today's athletes.
I like how he still gave the clapping guy a little 'hey' after Arsenio told him to ignore him. Very classy - that little gesture showed a LOT about his character. Good dude.
Miketrt ya whats so bad about politely clapping a little too much at a talk show lmao

The greatest athlete this world has ever known...Vincent"BO" Jackson!
Bo look like Eddie Murphy.
Jim Brown’s illegitimate son. lol
I think top spot would have gone to daly Thompson back then, but bo runs a closed second.
Not...Hershel Walker, Wilt Chamberlain, and Jim Thorpe were all better and more rounded athletes than Bo.
@@sydboski wo, I don’t know it’s close.
Love Bo. This was one athlete I always had the upmost respect for. A true role model! Played the game right!
Bo was a beast of an athlete. I think if he wouldn't have had that hip injury, he could have gone down as one of the best athletes ever if not the best.
I had the pleasure seeing him live, that speed for a man his size was unbelievable.
So damn classy. How can a man be so young, on top of the world and be so low key?
We can handle it
Outstanding athlete and role-model.
Great interview
Spoken as a true rolemodle and athlete. Bo Jackson is an awesome person.
god bless bo and his children,i pray for his best and family
I had always heard that Bo Jackson had a bad stutter and was a very nervous speaker when he first began attending Auburn, but he worked on it and got it to the point you see here.
This guy isn't just the greatest athlete, he's also got the most pragmatic, well grounded outlook. He'd probably never be in politics, too honest.
He's not the greatest athlete.
Bo and Barry my all time faves...freakish abilities and great men outside of sports...
YEP! Period!!!
Bo Jackson is the man.

Long live Bo Jackson! The best athlete EVER!!!
all these years being a fan but I've never listened to him speak.. this guy is really awesome..
This is what a real man looks like
Even at 26, He had his stuff together. Good head on his shoulders

Umm but Deon ran his mouth and backed it up...so i guess its not just politicians.
The Gretzky no... love it

After seeing him run Bases, and after a few Balls, ahemm, it`s official. Forget the football speed, side of it !
The greatest, so glad I got to see him play!!
BIG BO JACKSON PLAYED FOR MY HOMETOWN "KANSAS CITY ROYALS⚾"!!!🏆🙌🏽💪🏽🔥💯😎⚾

Great upload dresden24. Bo Jackson has a great physique and voice. It was great seeing Bo Diddley in commercial. Fantastic guitarist.
What a great guy ! Omg alllll class man !

3 most popular athletes in America from 89 to 90 were Jordan, Mike Tyson, and Bo Jackson.
"This Sanders guy from Florida State" lol!
Yea that Sanders Guy turned out to be A Phenom His Dam Self!
Sure thing
I know right!!! who would have thought he would have been compared to Bo
Bo was the man. I grew up not far from him. I am so thankful that I was able to see his career as short as it was. If only Bear had signed him... LOL
War Eagle Bo and Roll Tide.
THE GREATEST ATHLETE EVER VINCENT BO JACKSON
B O IS CLASS , BO JACKSON IS MY WAY FAVORITE. , ,,BO. , THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES + YOUR FIENDSH IP. , YOUR THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!
Boy did “sanders” prove Bo wrong! Ran his mouth like a politician and backed it up!
I was born in 80. Bo was the first human i was confused about. Like how is he playing football and baseball
I had a VCR from around the time of this video that cost about $500.00! LOL
Love Bo so humble.

Is this really you Bo?
I love this aspect ratio 3:7.
Bos down to earth
Next to Jim Thorpe, the greatest all around athlete ever.
What about Herschel Walker, Wilt Chamberlain, and Deion Sanders?
I love you Arsenio Hall!
thanks for the upload
This was a great interview! You hardly see athletes on late night talk shows anymore!
ALL MAN!!!!!!!!!! Damn.
Good dad!
"The only people that get high places by running their mouths is politicians and ain't no room in this game for politics."
Dear Bo, oh how things have changed.
I said the same thing
please put Bo Jackson's other arsenio hall interview please in high def
Hey it’s Chris Evert 🤭
I hope all is well for him.
Ain't nobody like him like him even more
Bo jackson- hes ALOT stronger
arsenio looks like he's flirting with bo
Probably was. You know what they say about him and Eddie Murphy

BOSS STATUS
Quote, "The good Lord has blessed me..."
I would love to know what bo told him after the break lol
7:24 I think this settles the Bo vs Deion debate
Bo Jackson, great role model.. Seems like a great person. But I see why Arsenio Hall is no longer on TV 🤔
I liked Arsenio, alright. I taped a show of his when he had; 3rd Eye Blind, one night. Bo Is great, tho. But Im from near Bessemer, Al. and maybe biased.
So.................I feel really old right now because I was 18 years old when I first saw this on television.
Man.. My foot would have been asleep after 30 seconds of sitting like that....
How were you able to upload footage from old VCR tapes onto RUclips?
I'm not gonna push them as far as sports is concerned... they can go play tennis XD
His insurance had to be crazy exp!
He is the impersonation of the word athlete, simply incredible...
Yeah, pretty sure that Sanders guy turned out to be Deion Sanders. Also pretty sure that guy was great.
2:24 Not only in thc commercial but also in the so called documentary "The last Dance" he lied.
@La Keisla The whole narrative was a lie, it was not what u call a documentary. Aks Horace Grant.
I thought arsineo was going to kiss him.
I have a VHS to DVD unit.....cost about $500 3 yrs ago...Now Roxio makes a plug that goes from a VCR to USB port making it even easier for $60.
At 4:10 amazing
STUD
Speed or strength? Pretty obvious which one has more of which trait.
Deion Sanders is possibly how Bo’s career would’ve gone if the hip injury never happened. BO Knows
Bo is a real classy individual it's a real shame pretty boy Floyd Mayweather couldn't learn a think or two from him 🤔
Wilt could have dominated 2 sports
BUT he didn't 😂
@@ladymarmaladea.2463 Um.. Yes he did. Basketball and Pro Volleyball. Wilt is in both Halls of fame. And he ran track, high jumped. triple jumped, and putted the shot.
bo jackson vs deion sanders
I swear to god hes jus like me, hes my idol stutters like me big like me fast like me omdI LOVE BO
No, there's nothing he can't do.
Sure there are plenty of things he can't do. he couldn't run faster than 10.44 in the 100m.
ha ha ha the sanders guy from flordia state
HE LO-KEY SHITTED ON DEON SANDERS, LOL!!! MUCH LOVE BO AND DEON!!!

man arsenio was a dang sell out. he was always tryin to get dudes to say shit that would get them burnt in the media. he did the same shit with Tupac. dude was and always will be a sell out.
