I have the same exact issue! What I understand from this video is that you have to make them private one by one, which takes a lot of time D: Is there another way?
Grace B They have added a new button called "Limit Old Posts". You can click that and it will take EVERY post and picture and set them to "friends only". Good luck!
FINALLY FOUND IT!!! go to your activity log, I click the little lock with the lines next to settings in the top right. Click Who can see my stuff... its the second option with activity log link. Then on the left click photos and then your photos. All your stuff comes up with the privacy options.
So, is there a way I can upload mobile photos with a predetermined setting of Private? I am so annoyed right now. Most of my pics are mobile uploads and everything is public! Very distressing.

This was great...but have you run into issues with Photos or albums on a DIFFERENT PAGE - say a business page that you have created...??? I can't select this setting for albums on on a different page.
It's all different now. When you hover over the gear on the album settings, it only says that you can change the privacy of EACH photo not the whole album itself.
click on the cob (top far screen right) > Privacy settings > click Timeline and Tagging (screen left) > in the 'Who can see things on my timeline' click Edit beside 'Who can see posts you've been tagged in on your timeline' > click drop down menu for that > Click Custom > now it will open up a menu > choose who not to share tagged pictures with > click save changes.

That's because you're not following the video carefully. You can't do what looking to do on that page. That why it says "for each photo" You have to click the PIC then change the setting for each pic 1 at a time. He shows this starting at... 1:42 in the video

I did everything you said and changed my profile picture settings individually and they all now say that only my friends my can see them except for my current facebook profile picture which is public. However, when I view my profile as the public, it still shows all of my profile photos. Do you know how to fix this?
I had a complete stranger share my profile photo and my cover photo to her page today. I don't like that when someone who has never met me can take my pics without asking me. I used to have a security thing that stopped people taking my pics unless they asked me first. It was perfect. I can not find this option anywhere. Do you know if it exists, still, please?

At the top right on your home screen where you see the padlock and arrow. Click the arrow then click settings. Click privacy on the left. Then on your right, click limit past posts. Confirm it and all of your pictures should be private.

mine either - the little wheelie thing there and when i scroll over it reads that i can change the settings, but does not do anything after that.. but, not on all albums..older albums, yes.. newer, no. individually, it does not have that option at all..

For those wondering why it doesn't give them the option to select who can and can not see the photos, when you click on the little grey gear icon to the bottom right of each photo album, those are the photos albums you need to go into and individually make EACH photo private. Pain in the ass. Google + may be less popular, but for stuff like making things private, the circles option is FAR better than facebook. Good luck everyone.

I went in and each album, underneath, has a wheel that says I must change each individual photo within the album! so if I have 100 photos in one album, I have to go to each one, and not only each on on a page, but have to enlarge it then go to that side bar. why doesn't mine give me the option per album like yours did?

BUT if the icon under the picture is a star/snowflake looking thing, and it won't let me do a dang thing with it. I have a lot of albums that need to be changed to friends only. Mine will ABSOLUTELY NOT let me change the privacy of my photos. I got to each photo, and the edit button will only let me make it profile, cover, or delete photo (with some other date and time type options. I miss the simple settings.
Mine is like this for some of the albums and some of them have a settings icon underneath instead which is grayed out and unclickable. It even posts a hover caption saying I can change privacy on that album but I actually can't...
I used to have the ability to see my albums and choose their privacy settings for my albums but now I only see the album with no choice to edit the privacy. Also I have albums and now the pictures that were in some of them are no longer visible. Do you have any idea what the issue could be?
As a follow up, when you do go into these individual photos to edit them, make sure you click on the "DONE EDITING" button before you leave. If you just click the SAVE CHANGES button...strangely enough, it doesnt actually save the changes. Facebooks way of making sure everyone can see as much advertising as possible, they don't actually want you to do this. If any of this was of any help and you're a gamer. Right now, my profile pictures are unviewable for no reason whatsoever. I want to make them public again. I went to the albums tab, and only SOME albums offer me the option to change to public/only me etc. However, my profile pictures & cover photos album do not give me any options to be able to change anything. When I put my cursor over the tool/globe option beside the album, it says "You can change the audience for each photo in this album" which I tried, but still no luck. Any advice?

First off if you're using the facebook app you would have to edit each profile picture individually inorder to set the privacy settings on them!! The rest of your photos and post can be set under privacy shortcuts!!!
