    In this video I am going over how I study the Etsy marketplace before launching any new store or any new product. It is important to understand your market or niche before your spend hundreds of hours and money working on a business model they may or may not work. You want to set yourself for the best case scenario in your Etsy business, so hopefully I help you do that with this video! Just because a market is saturated does not mean you can not still win!

    I’ve just come across your channel whilst searching for everbee reviews and I’m still sat here watching all your other videos as well. So informative and is a massive help for me right now as I’m doing as much research as possible before launching my very first Etsy shop. I want to go in fully prepared and confident so it doesn’t just fail I feel like I’ve been planning for ages.

      Awesome stuff man! Thanks for commenting and watching. I will say, do the research gets some key points your idea will work and just go for it, you dont want to let too much information inhibit you from just opening shop. So much of the learning curve happens once you open shop!

    Hanna I love your videos i just have a question for you -- how the heck does my printable garden cost $0.80 per click!? Insanity. It has a 10% conversion rate but it costs less than $7 so my clicks cost more than my product😢

    • @EcomHannah
      @EcomHannah  Год назад

      $.80 a click is actually way cheaper than any other ads platform out there you’ll spend way more than that on Google ads or Facebook ads etc. If you’re selling very low cost items this may happen if you just started spending for the first time, but the idea is as you gain rank organically. This ad cost will go down and your top line sales will beat your ad spend .

      @@EcomHannah oh gosh! Okay so I am right now about $100 in deficit for ad spend. It's only week 3 of my shop being open, I have had 31 sales and 5 reviews. Are you saying that if I continue running the ads and spending money, eventually the Etsy algorithm will start to benefit me so I stop spending and start profiting?

      @@KateTheMama You will always want to keep spending but your net profit should increase as you gain rank and get reviews. Its much harder to convert a customer who clicks on your listing when you only have a few reviews and your competitor has many more. But if you want to play it safe if your sale prices are super low say under $20 bucks you can only turn on ads for listings that organically gain some traction and turn on more and more as you get more organically taking off. Its hard to advise without seeing the full view of your business but yes you do want to spend and see what is working and what is not working. Going negative when you launch a business is very normal. You can go the all organic route and not spend it just makes the process very slow and allows more competitors to gain traction faster than you.

      @@EcomHannah thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions so thoughtfully!!
      I have 1 last question -- I know you've mentioned that you max your ad budget to $1000 a day but I'm not sure if you've mentioned how many listings you advertise each day? Do you do your whole store or just the top sellers? I only have 31 items up so far -- like I said, my shop is new and I do digital downloads which are in the $1-$20 range so for the last few days I've decided to ONLY advertise my most expensive products (which is only 3 for now).

    • @EcomHannah
      @EcomHannah  Год назад

      @@KateTheMama I would advertise the ones that are organically already making sales to start and be safe you want to add more fuel to the ones that are least making organic!

    Do you recommend charging the same price as your competition if you bundle, ie. necklace and earrings instead of just necklace? Or do you offer necklace and earrings separately in the variations and also offer them together at a higher price?
