So when I saw this episode I had a good laugh since I can relate to Cheerilee's situation, like Sweetie Belle's unintentional backhanded compliment. I hate the punishment scene here. The CMC saw that something was amiss, figured out what was wrong, thought about how to fix it, formulated a plan and then worked extremely hard to execute it. I think they should be commended for taking responsibility without any adult telling them to. This only sents the message that taking responsibility for your mistakes is pointless as you're going to be punished either way.

Anyone else think the story of the love potion is Chrysalis' back story? The potion is said to be a poison and the princess shown in the book is an unknown alicorn. Perhaps the potion continued to eat away at her heart causing her to need more and more love, also mutating her body and mind. As she continued to feed and spread this curse tragedy fell on her kingdom changing all the ponies into changlings.
This episode makes me really appreciate the Big Mac x Sugar Belle (aka Big Sugarmac) couple even more. At least the relationship between Mac & Belle was real and not some love poisoning spell, and it's adorable without being nauseating.
Found this video from the Brony D&D “Welcome to the Show” where Josh is the Dungeon Masters & Voice is a character... in more ways than one. Love them both & this review video.
I view this episode as a cautionary tale for me. Big Mac is a character I manage to have a lot in common with (minus the obvious fact that he's a horse and that my parents are alive.). Though it was more of Sweetie Belle's idea than Apple Bloom's, I'm still lumping her into it by association. An additional lesson for me is to keep a much closer eye on my youngest sister because since Big Mac's entire character is turning into a self-fulfilling prophecy for me, chances are she'll probably decide to play matchmaker and set up a blind date with a woman my age who happens to be a teacher or is pursuing a career in teaching. I personally have no problem with shipping (and I'm not just talking about MLP.). As long as the couple (and I mean an ACTUAL couple, none of that Big Mac and Smarty Pants crap.) in question actually has some legitimate hints in canon to back it up (or in the case of Button Mash and Sweetie Belle... for now at least, fanon that doesn't involve clopfics.), I'm okay with it. Hell, I'm guilty of this kind of thing myself. SoarinDash and CheesePie are pairings I actually like. I'll consider the Flash and Twilight pairing if Flashykins can actually live up to my Sailor Moon analogy for him being Tuxedo Mask. Until then, I still have The Order and What Hath Joined Together. Fluttercord and FlutterMac are popular ships I don't seem to understand. Is it so hard for other people besides me to see Fluttershy and Discord's relationship as an eccentric old man finding the daughter he never had? Am I the only one alone on that? As for FlutterMac, aside from that fanmade love song I like by Joaftheloaf and Feather, is there something I'm missing? What actual evidence is there to support them as a couple? Mostly for shits and giggles, I support the pairing of Hayseed Turniptruck and Rarity because I think it would be funny and cute if Rarity's coltfriend was a character who's pretty much her exact opposite.

I love your analysis...with the exception of your criticisms of shippers. I disapprove of people who ship real-life people, because the people they ship have their own romantic viewpoints and may have a different sexual orientation than the shippers believe. I did. I met them at BronyCon 2014 at the Pony Karaoke event . Although, when I asked Eliyora for an autograph, she pretty much said "Um, sure." I was really confused at that. I was kinda worried that she didn't like me. But I did get to take a selfie with ToonKritick.
I love the reactions of some people at the beginning to the angry mob chasing the two. Some start running in fear of the crowd, some just stare wondering why there is a mob, and there even was one guy who Joined the mob for the heck of it. Very entertaining. Hehehe
My shipping policies: 1. The ship must have some evidence of a possible relationship or something hinting at a future relationship i.e. the look Pheonix gave Athena and Apollo at the end of Dual Destinies 2. Incest pairings should be killed with fire 3. Try to keep the characters close in age (exceptions can occur with immortals or age ambigous characters i.e. Pit and Viridi) 4. Avoid defying canon pairings
all of those rules make sense, arguably for the first one though, having ships where characters don't show romantic interest cannonically isn't a huge deal

So here's what we learned from this video: Shipping can kill, Firebrand and Voice of Reason makes a great duo, Silver Quill can steal Firebrand's Party Howitzer, the escalator scene is hilarious and never *EVER* underestimate a petite woman in a crowd! XD Also, great review on this one! Some of the later Big Mac-Sugar Bell episodes have slightly better episodes for a Hearts and Hooves day theme, but this is good moral episode. I also found the cute-sy talk the love poisoned duo were doing was hilarious and can definitely imagine the voices behind the characters where having the field day with it. XD

I view this episode as a cautionary tale for me. Big Mac is a character I manage to have a lot in common with (minus the obvious fact that he's a horse and that my parents are alive.). Though it was more of Sweetie Belle's idea than Apple Bloom's, I'm still lumping her into it by association. An additional lesson for me is to keep a much closer eye on my youngest sister because since Big Mac's entire character is turning into a self-fulfilling prophecy for me, chances are she'll probably decide to play matchmaker and set up a blind date with a woman my age who happens to be a teacher or is pursuing a career in teaching.
I personally have no problem with shipping (and I'm not just talking about MLP.). As long as the couple (and I mean an ACTUAL couple, none of that Big Mac and Smarty Pants crap.) in question actually has some legitimate hints in canon to back it up (or in the case of Button Mash and Sweetie Belle... for now at least, fanon that doesn't involve clopfics.), I'm okay with it. Hell, I'm guilty of this kind of thing myself. SoarinDash and CheesePie are pairings I actually like. I'll consider the Flash and Twilight pairing if Flashykins can actually live up to my Sailor Moon analogy for him being Tuxedo Mask. Until then, I still have The Order and What Hath Joined Together. Fluttercord and FlutterMac are popular ships I don't seem to understand. Is it so hard for other people besides me to see Fluttershy and Discord's relationship as an eccentric old man finding the daughter he never had? Am I the only one alone on that? As for FlutterMac, aside from that fanmade love song I like by Joaftheloaf and Feather, is there something I'm missing? What actual evidence is there to support them as a couple? Mostly for shits and giggles, I support the pairing of Hayseed Turniptruck and Rarity because I think it would be funny and cute if Rarity's coltfriend was a character who's pretty much her exact opposite.

I love your analysis...with the exception of your criticisms of shippers. I disapprove of people who ship real-life people, because the people they ship have their own romantic viewpoints and may have a different sexual orientation than the shippers believe. However, if you're shipping two fictional characters, who really cares?

I did. I met them at BronyCon 2014 at the Pony Karaoke event . Although, when I asked Eliyora for an autograph, she pretty much said "Um, sure." I was really confused at that. I was kinda worried that she didn't like me. But I did get to take a selfie with ToonKritick.

I love the reactions of some people at the beginning to the angry mob chasing the two. Some start running in fear of the crowd, some just stare wondering why there is a mob, and there even was one guy who Joined the mob for the heck of it. Very entertaining. Hehehe

My shipping policies:
1. The ship must have some evidence of a possible relationship or something hinting at a future relationship i.e. the look Pheonix gave Athena and Apollo at the end of Dual Destinies
2. Incest pairings should be killed with fire
3. Try to keep the characters close in age (exceptions can occur with immortals or age ambigous characters i.e. Pit and Viridi)
4. Avoid defying canon pairings
all of those rules make sense, arguably for the first one though, having ships where characters don't show romantic interest cannonically isn't a huge deal
True, I admit that that rule is fairly easy for me to break, but it helps me keep things reasonable. I guess it's more of a suggestion than a rule.

So here's what we learned from this video: Shipping can kill, Firebrand and Voice of Reason makes a great duo, Silver Quill can steal Firebrand's Party Howitzer, the escalator scene is hilarious and never *EVER* underestimate a petite woman in a crowd! XD
Also, great review on this one! Some of the later Big Mac-Sugar Bell episodes have slightly better episodes for a Hearts and Hooves day theme, but this is good moral episode. I also found the cute-sy talk the love poisoned duo were doing was hilarious and can definitely imagine the voices behind the characters where having the field day with it. XD
