Thank you for the video. Sorry to say this, but nothing bigtime is going to change. Sure, perhaps if KBA chairman is guilty of embezzlement and got replaced, that's about it. Let's look at what happen to Mr. Kang Kyung Jin, coach to Lee Yong Dae time and when he had a spat with KBA, he's no longer there but found acceptance in China! Also, look at Park Joo Bong, he's doing very well in Japan. If An wants to continue to play, she has to accept all the nonsense, like it or not. Going independent is not going to be allowed in Korea due to the current rules and her age. Unless she can find a foreign country association to submit her name and allow her to play under her birth country, but that foreign country would want something in return for their contribution, likely a cut of her prize money. She will be missed if she decides to retire early but KBA would not die or be brought to her knees. You have rightly mentioned that everything that has some connection with badminton does indeed goes back to KBA and it is this connection, that many would not want to risk it now. As the saying goes, you don't want to burn bridges.
@@panorama4526 Thanks. I read up the news article. Words are words until put into action. KBA can have a major overhaul and replaced all senior management people BUT if the new people are same as the old, it would be a pointless exercise. The newspaper article mentioned - "this is the last chance for KBA", to me it spells many issues swept under the carpet time and again for a very longtime and someone knows about it for a very longtime but left it alone.
Keep up the great work!!! It’s hard to get more news/insights on ASY’s situation outside South Korea.

Read the article on a major overhaul in Badminton Korea Association in The Korea Times from Nov. 3, 2024. This is huge…
