This is top tier storytelling.
She's not there for the action, but for the length. She explains it herself, claiming that looking at long things reassures her of her own mortality over an unnamed illness, affecting how long she has to live. It's also evident in what brings her back to Tooru-kun as well, as she realised that he's the same length as Long Long Man - just segmented for easier consumption. @@azumiseguchi7401 about this: he never broke that gummy she wanted, and Touru finds it still intact when he goes there. I just thought this was a series about a man stealing a mans woman from him with a tasty candy. Then I found out, it wasn't the woman he was trying to steal. 10/10 would watch this soap opera again.
Every couple of months I go back and rewatch this commercial serie and every time I appreciate and respect every damn detail placed into this. This is just a marvelous thing in every aspect. You have: - Identifiable characters, so you immediately recognize the commercial - A cheesy song, so it gets stuck in your head - A plot drama, making you think about the commercial long after it was shown to you But not only that, the more you watch it the more details you identify. Things like: - Short man is ALWAYS shown carrying the small bag of gummies - Chi-Chan ALWAYS drops something when seeing the real Long long man. - The "Long long man" song not appearing when Long man is not shown or referenced. (Commercial at 2:30 and 3:00 ) - All the not so obvious "long" references, like: - "I want to look at it longer" - The shirt on Long man at 1:31 saying "Long distance bike" - "Waiting for a long time" And my favorite of them all, you technically COULD see this plot twist from miles away if you analyze that Long long man is the ONLY guy that we see eat the gummies. Short guy carries them, but never eats them. Only Chi-chan does. If the gummies are a low innuendo about penis sizes and the Long man is the only guy we see eat them, you could deduce that he is gay right from the first episode. Awesome job Sakeru Gummies.
Daniel García The Long Long Man song does play for the commercial at 2:30 and 3:00. It’s just a variant stripped down to the main melody played on the piano in a different slow tempo.
There's also the fact that Long Man looks uncomfortable when Chi-Chan comes onto him in that third advert, which you might not catch onto upon a first viewing without knowing the twist.
This has a better story line then every single show in existence, the plot, the character development, everything about it is beautiful. I wanna say one more thing before I go as well. Long Long Man.

Bro you don't how much I shouted in astonishment when Long Long Man and the Boyfriend got together. It was such a beautiful twist.
I think there should be more commercials with a story. If there were more commercials with a story I would be more likely to buy the product depending on how good the story was, how good the humor was, or how good the ending was.
Ok but can we acknowledge how attractive Long Long Man actually is. Goddamn.

@@its.a.new.day_ Something was up with Trotsky's eyes imo, I find them unsettling.

3:50 Long long man heard Tohru-kun's proposal to Chi-chan and was so shocked he let go of the balloons he was holding. This is when he knew it was his last chance to confess his love to Tohru-kun.

*New!* LONG LONG MAN CANDY NOW WITH CREAM INSIDE!
but how will you know that there is a shitty game of thrones mobile game, that is nothing like the commercial.
whoever made the storyline deserves a raise tbh
I think the best part of this is that the co-worker who had a chart prepared in advance for some reason straight up said that the new product they're advertising is not only exactly the same as the old one, but also arguably worse.
Who said humanity was out of creative ideas?

@@azumiseguchi7401 about this: he never broke that gummy she wanted, and Touru finds it still intact when he goes there.
From what we've seen I'm supposing it was the only long gummy he had on him at the time, which would mean that he probably just freaked out and left, and so the cheating only really happened in Touru's head as you're saying!
Touru's found a catch!

This might legitimately be the greatest commercial (or series of commercials) in history.
I just thought this was a series about a man stealing a mans woman from him with a tasty candy.
Then I found out, it wasn't the woman he was trying to steal.
10/10 would watch this soap opera again.
Plot was so perfect
Same. I would rewatch it with friends too.
They make it 100% more entertaining
Every couple of months I go back and rewatch this commercial serie and every time I appreciate and respect every damn detail placed into this. This is just a marvelous thing in every aspect.
You have:
- Identifiable characters, so you immediately recognize the commercial
- A cheesy song, so it gets stuck in your head
- A plot drama, making you think about the commercial long after it was shown to you
But not only that, the more you watch it the more details you identify.
Things like:
- Short man is ALWAYS shown carrying the small bag of gummies
- Chi-Chan ALWAYS drops something when seeing the real Long long man.
- The "Long long man" song not appearing when Long man is not shown or referenced. (Commercial at 2:30 and 3:00 )
- All the not so obvious "long" references, like:
- "I want to look at it longer"
- The shirt on Long man at 1:31 saying "Long distance bike"
- "Waiting for a long time"
And my favorite of them all, you technically COULD see this plot twist from miles away if you analyze that Long long man is the ONLY guy that we see eat the gummies. Short guy carries them, but never eats them. Only Chi-chan does.
If the gummies are a low innuendo about penis sizes and the Long man is the only guy we see eat them, you could deduce that he is gay right from the first episode.
Awesome job Sakeru Gummies.
It's so good it made you do literary analysis on an ad
One little correction, in the second advert Chichan doesn't drop anything.
Damn that is deeper than the adult swimming pool.
This pops back in my mind every few months and I just have so much fun watching it
This has a better story line then every single show in existence, the plot, the character development, everything about it is beautiful. I wanna say one more thing before I go as well. Long Long Man.
Story had more depth than any Ubisoft game.
