2 tips for halo: 1: scoping in for close range fights, especially with the BR, is a big no no. The BR is better at mid to long range combat, so if you can have something like a sidekick, AR, or mangler, those are better for close in. 2: Halo infinite has the same aim curve system as halo 5, which brings along the same aim assist. It's better to run a lower sensitivity with a higher acceleration. This allows you to track players in close fights more easily, and it also increases the effectiveness of your aim assist. I guarantee this will improve your close range accuracy
I'm ngl man, I only planned on doing that for this review. I absolutely cannot stand playing the new halo for more than one game at a time, but that's just me. I didn't plan on taking the time to get better, but I did want to try it out for "Review gameplay" purposes
Ex professional top 1# swat and runble player with my teammate NapTimez for the razer controller binding pick up weapon on the mouse click triggers or back buttons give you a great advantage, using a low sensitivity is more beneficial but now a lot of pros player the mid range of six down to 4 sensitivity. And hold crouch rather than toggle is completely busted with crouch spamming. Learning mechanics like the stair slide boost or grapple surface slide boost make movements so much better. Would you also pick the scuf instinct over razer controller or any other controller? Out of all the controller what controller would you say is best? No matter the price range
@@esportsmiyagi I would say that for specifically Halo, the wolverine ultimate or v2 chroma are the best for sheet performance, and the Powera fusion pro is the best for price to performance
Heyo Cuda! I actually opened up my Scuf Instinct Pro out of curiosity and the trigger stop mechanism is actually quite simple to be honest. To put it simply, there’s a micro switch sitting stationary inside the controller at all times, just out of reach of the trigger itself. All the trigger stop is doing is moving a piece of plastic between the trigger and micro switch which allows the the trigger to actuate the micro switch, giving it the clicky trigger.
Do it seem stable for longevity or is it just a thin plastic platform that's holding the tactile switch that just moves into place? Did you happen to get a pic? If so leave an imgur link or something :) I'd really like to see it.
I'm honestly enjoying the scuf instinct more than the elite v2. I'm not gonna say too much tho since I've only been using it for 6 days because I have no clue if it's gonna be more or less durable than the elite. (My elite lasted only like 4 months before all of the problems started rolling in).
Man same ive had an elite v2 for a year and 4 months in the bumpers had issues. Just order instinct pro hoping this one lasts 1 year or more before problems
@@wjaylon697 yeah i got bumper issues after 4 months of having too and I forgot to get the extended warranty so I had to figure out the fix on my own witch I did after a couple of weeks but everything else started to fall apart near the 1 year mark like the home button and thumbsticks and the paddles got warn out. still got a good year and a half out of it tho so I'm thankful it held together until I got a new controller.
I had two Elite Series 2 Controllers the First one lastet also 4 months until it Started to make problems. The second one i have sold After two months. Now i have solderd a Stock Controller together with the extremerate Kit. The position of the buttons (paddles) are worse, but it did work well also with the hair triggers. The fact that you can optimize your elite Series 2 Controller is nice and also the paddles and the other stuff you get with the Controller is great BUT the durability is aweful! This Scuf Controller seems to be good but it is way to expensive. the paddles and everything else aren‘t surprising me. The only thing that i really love about that controller are the triggerstops.

I’ve had my elite v2 for around 2 years. Don’t play a ton but I started getting stick drift real bad. And luckily I’m pretty handy with electronics. Changed out the analog sticks and zero stick drift. Now I’m having issues with the trigger stops. Full lock the right trigger won’t register. So I’m gonna replace the mosfets and get neo magnets. i had the elite 2v for a year and a half before I got the scuf instinct and I can say that I enjoy the instinct more already after 6 days of use. I just hope this controller doesn't have issues after the first 4 months of use.
I see you followed my video for your install of the Xbox kit... Really hope I explained everything as best as I could! I agree, the soldering really does suck! It would be so much easier if it was just a simple install like the PS4/PS5 kit. Craig
@@vCuda Did you see they released the 4 button kit? I did a video on that on New Years Eve, not sure if you seen it on my channel. You'll have to get that and do a review on it 👍
I have been a competitive Halo player (with some long breaks over the years for other game on MnK) since 2008, with many semi-pro and pro placing During the MLG days and most recently Dreamhack Anaheim 2020, where I played in the FFA finals for Halo Reach and HCS Raleigh 2021 for Halo Infinite. Halo is the only game I use a controller for. I bought this controller when Scuf dropped the very first batch to get away from using the Elite series 2 while playing MCC. Up until this controller I never used back buttons or paddles, the paddles always felt super clunky and in the way for me. Once I got this controller I felt the same way, wtf are those 2 inside buttons and how do I use them. It took me an entire month of MCC and then another month of Halo infinite before I used more than 1 back button. I forced myself mid December to figure out how to use all 4. I've successfully done it, and the best way I can describe it is to put your finger on the raised up edge for the inside buttons. Once I did that my brain started seeing the back buttons as 1 fat flat bottom on the outside and 1 skinny raised button on the inside. I hope that helps anyone struggling with or hating the back buttons on this. I actually love them now. If the dude who made this video see this comment, while waiting 3-6 months for the review on if the controller lasted, try giving what I said above a try and see if the button layout grows on you. Great review and tell me the best thumbsticks to buy please, I'ma headcasing fk and I buy anything anyone recommends to see if I'll like it lol

Just bought a Scuff Instinct Pro after my Scuff One from 2014 broke. I thought about the Xbox Elite 2 but the drift and bumper issues after 4 months made me stay away. Even if my Scuff was expensive I'll gladly buy it again if it lasts for a long time.
I have had my instinct pro for about 4 months and now the left stick has the worst stick drift I’ve ever seen it’s almost unplayable with death box looting on apex.
coming from a scuf prestige and then the Elite series 1 followed by the Elite Series 2 and now on the scuf Instinct Pro this is the first controller I have been able to use all four buttons/paddles easily without accidentally pressing any and I have old man hands

This is why I love you man, because there are always positive reviews on these expensive ass controllers and I wonder THERE HAS TO BE NEGATIVES ABOUT THEM. I really appreciate you, thank you so much for this review! 👍
I have owned scuf impacts for over 4 years and never had a paddle break. The click on the paddles is usually what breaks it just stops clicking or it clicks more than once if you press down one time
I've never had a SCUF but I always hear about so many different issues, especially like the stuff you discussed. They're just SO far out of what I would want to pay for a controller even though I do like video game controllers in general. The biggest thing I heard last gen the most often was that they had bad customer service, I saw that in a shit ton of reviews on practically every website. I play on PS4 and obviously Sony doesn't make their own pro controller but I have used Nacon ones for awhile now and had no issues really at all with any of them other than just one with the Unlimited; the headphone jack is absolute garbage. It just does not work well lol which is a shame cause I like everything else about that Unlimited controller. I paid $140 for that one and I don't regret it. This is with 7+ months of use nearly daily.
After about 8 returns of an Elite Two I decided to give up and try something new. I’ve currently been using the Power A Spectra which has been working really well as a replacement. I got the Instinct, out of curiosity, on Amazon to give it shot and I have to say it doesn’t bring anything to the table worth the 230 price tag. The customization is cool and the trigger stops are amazing, but not 230 worth it. The main issue I have is that buttons suck and often don’t register if you don’t smash the crap out of them. Is the Instinct better than the Elite two? Totally. Is it better than a 40 dollar Power A controller? Absolutely not. So yeah, returned that and wished I would have waited for this review because I came to the same opinion.
I really enjoy your content. Just got my scuf in the mail a week or so ago. I really like the paddle design, but see why some wouldn't. I use all 4 for halo. It replaced my 2 year old elite series 2 controller btw. Keep up the dope content, and never give up your vocabulary. It's what makes your channel unique.
I just had to send mine in. Got it for Christmas, always wanted to try one. I was having severe right stick drift issues going upwards. I didn’t have my receipt because I got for Christmas from my athletes and parents (I am a high school coach) so they wouldn’t cover under warranty. I hope they can fix it but it will be on my dime. I sent it in today. Grrrr
Tour the best man!! happy new year hope all is well. thank you for the review. i have my share of controllers and did not want to spend the money until i seen u go through this controller. thanks. can't wait for the next video!
The PowerA Enhanced I got recently had issues with the left trigger switch within five days and only ~8 hours of gameplay. I've heard it's pretty common with their controllers.
Hey man, haven't commented on one of your videos yet. I'd just like to say awesome content bro, you keep it very real. I've gone through and have used most of the controllers you've reviewed, and you're dead on with each one. Keep it up man!
I had an elite two and it broke … a lot! So I got the razer Wolverine v2 chroma. And now I’m here watching these videos to make sure I made the right choice lol
I bought one today. I keep kicking the spectra enhanced off the bed and now the left analog has drift so I finished it off and got one of them $30 power A controllers with the shine grey camo and bought a fusion pro.
The thing I wish more controller makers would do is, not just trigger locks, but adjustable deadzones on them as well. That's the big thing that kept me on the Elite for the longest time.
The victrix gambit has adjustable trigger locks with 4 paddles that some say are hard to press but I've always liked them cause u still get to keep your normal hand placement but I did switch to a scuff when I started having issues with this one after about 9 to 10 months but I game like crazy and I figured out if u take the controller apart Pop open both of the sides for the stick that rotate u pull out the little spring in there and most of the time it's because that's bent u can just bend it back "or replace it" I just had to bend it back and it worked like it was right out of the box 0 stick drift 0 problems
My elite 2 lasted about a year before I started getting stuck drift that bugged the fuck outta me, have an Instinct Pro on the way rn and I’m excited to play with it
I’ve had the instinct pro for about 6 months and it’s still perfect and no stick drift at all , I have no issue at all operating all 4 back buttons , perfect for fortnite
I’ve had elite 2 for almost 2 years and has fallen a few times and I’ve gotten it wet and glad to say im one of those few that got a super control i have had no problem with it😁
in my opinion, controller companies don’t have to do anything “significantly different” to their controllers, for them to be accepted by controller users. the technology controller users want is already out there, the only problem is refining them and making them more “reliable” depending on how you view “reliability”. they don’t have to attach popcorn makers and swiss army knives to the controllers for them to be something we would use. just make them reliable, and customization friendly.
The thing about Hex Controllers is you could build your own, because it looks to me like they buy from "Extreme Rate" on Amazon and upcharge for something you can do yourself.
Hex is actually owned by them! And while it is far cheaper to do it yourself, on the Xbox side of the pond it isn't a simple job. It requires some decent knowledge of Soldering, so for those who aren't equipped or don't have the time to learn, hex is a decent alternative. So is Battle Beaver, at least with light Customization. Going all out on the aesthetics makes them pretty expensive
@@vCuda Ah, okay. My bad. I actually love ExRate's stuff. I've done quite a few builds myself using their stuff, but really want something that ISN'T the Elite S2. I might grab a Hex or Battle Beaver.
Keep doin you kid. Great reviews that have important points and the talking points I'm looking for to know whether I want the damn product or not. Thumbs up from me.
I have one and I absolutely love it, but I didnt pay full price. I think its sick it has magnetic sticks and face plate. I just bought sticks and a new faceplate to make it look and feel how I want. So far holds up great will get back if anything does break. New paddles are 10/10 for placement and feel IMO.
Honestly happy to see your review and particularly interested in seeing your long term feedback… my first Scuff lasted 10 days before the paddle snapped, then two sets of replacement paddles later the left analogue stick ‘melted’ due to its useless material choice… So pretty standard stuff I suppose.
I just got my Instinct Pro yesterday after a month wait. I can honestly say it fits my hands a little better than my Elite 2 and it being lighter was kind of a welcomed surprise(or maybe the elite is just heavy). I really liked my Elite 2 but the Instinct Pro just fits my bigger hands better and more comfortably. Warranty could’ve been better though i agree
My favorite controllers right now are honestly just the PowerA Enhanced controller. I love the two back buttons’ placement more than any pro controller out there. I don’t like trigger stops so i don’t care that it doesn’t have them. I also don’t mind that it’s wired. I love all the fun designs and it’s only $30!!! It’s an amazing value and I play shooters competitively and it does the trick.
as someone who uses hall effect gimbals(aka thumbsticks) for my racing drone controller(very common btw), the fact that gaming controllers dont come standard with hall effect gimbals is just dumb. I'm hoping scuf will be the first to add these into a gaming controller, they're not that expensive anymore, they are super accurate, they never have stick drift(why I use them), and they're proven better. Nice video btw :)
love your personality! I have a razer wolverine tournament and love it! not a single problem and have had it for well over a year. the back paddles feel second nature and its my favorite . The thing is, i've used this controller over 1k hours and i kid you not, my sticks are rubbed down to the plastic lmao and theres no grip left on the controller . I'm debating on getting a SCUF or a different razer or just sticking to the same one . thoughts?
I found your channel when looking up reviews for controllers( need one for Halo sadly) and fuck man the amount of shit I had to slog through in order to get a real review was insane lol. Keep up the good work honesty is key can't imagine how many kids get fucking jebaited into buying 200$ controllers that die before a year.

Nice and honest review mate 👍...I’ve been racking my brains and wallet if to throw my cash at this..I do have a elite series 2 for my series X,but I do like new things! I do like the idea of those tighter triggers and for me it’s worth the cash as long as the controller doesn’t die!…I will take the chance and order one today. 6 months warranty is pathetic on any product for me and it needs to be 12 months at least!..but I will take a gamble..also subscribe to your channel as I like your style and honesty for calling people out(without calling people out lol 😂)
This was the review I was waiting for, and actual honest review bringing the pros and cons. We need more people like cuda in the community. I’m still thinking of getting the controller but I think I’m just gonna wait for the 3 month review to see how the quality of the controller.
I just watched your thumbstick variables review before this and I was wondering why you never tried or mentioned the medium stick height with the low profile kontrol freek? For me it's the perfect middle ground between accuracy and speed on the right stick. Not to mention kontrol freeks basically NEVER lose their grip. I've had my atomic grips for literally years and they still look brand new.. The new paddle design on the Scuf looks awful. Does it feel an unnatural as it looks? I've had the same Elite Series 1 controller since they dropped and I still think the paddle design is superior to the older vertical Scuf paddles. For anyone wondering how I've had my Elite 1 for years and it's still running like new? Every single part in the controller has been replaced multiple times :) I'm not joking either I mean triggers, bumpers, analogs, sticks, paddle board, the usb jack, everything but the beauty of this frankenstein is that you wouldn't be able to tell it apart from a brand new one outside the Scuf grip plates that replace the old elite back handles and the tactical grip tape I applied to the paddles. I actually just put new analogs on it a couple days ago. Hardware and software calibrated the drift on every axis to be less than .010 and it feels like perfection.
I got the fusion pro, next is the wolverine TE and I'm all set 😎👍. I missed how tight the driving was with my Xbox one s controller. The spectra enhanced is great for nfs and forza but not so tight for gta online racing.
Man, Your job is awesome. Very interesting your opniom about this controller... I bought wolverine te because your reviews that have trust .... Maybe razer wcv2 with triggers could be the perfect controller... Tks for spend time to share your opniom
I'm waiting on mine to show up. I purchased an Elite Series 2 on 2/1/22. After 200 hrs of gaming (Dying Light 2 and Elden Ring) the paddles stopped working. Im hoping for better luck with this Scuf. If it's hot garbage also I'm done buying "premium controllers".
Today, 31/12 is my birthday, and like my last birthday, im watching you, cuz ur a god dam insanely good content creatior, now its only about time till my next birthday haha
@@sododgy8338 I use stock on battle beaver and and never changed it on the elite because I wanted it to feel as close to a stock controller as it could. So I wouldn’t get used to it and have to buy 200 dollar controllers all the time. Power a spectra just feels a little tighter not like massive difference but it just feels a lot smoother. The series 2 you can literally set the stick tension to anything you want though if you don’t mind paying 200 plus every time for a controller, but the power a stock tension is like where I would want it anyways.
Had mine for about a month but you didn’t mention you can get new sticks from them (which will fix some stick drift inside the stick), faceplates, dpad, and the friction rings.

Grrrr
My elite series 2 still holding up just fine, it’s like a god controller with the sens curve options
Tour the best man!! happy new year hope all is well. thank you for the review. i have my share of controllers and did not want to spend the money until i seen u go through this controller. thanks. can't wait for the next video!
Happy new year, cuda! Thankyou so much, I was gonna buy another scuf but powera stole my heart. I have used a scuf and it broke within a week.
I'm sorry to hear it man, I hope your PowerA Controllers last longer
The PowerA Enhanced I got recently had issues with the left trigger switch within five days and only ~8 hours of gameplay. I've heard it's pretty common with their controllers.
@@Hi7here I bought a spectra, not an enhanced
Great review man completely honest and not a sell out love watching you review videos for your honesty
Woooo look who's back! Glad you're doing great homie
Damn dude, this is about as classic as your first few big reviews. Great production value in this one as well.
i love "no bullshit reviews" PLEASE MAKE A SERIES AND TITLED IT THAT
You sir have earned yourself a sub today! Loved the review and your sheer honesty!
I don't even play games anymore. Still watch your content, purely due to it's entertainment value.
I'm a new subscriber to your channel and I have to say I am so glad I stumbled across you! Can't wait to see you blow up your channel is very unique.
love the honesty. id prefer the honesty over the over dramatic hype review
Oooooh. Can't wait to hear your opinions on this!!! Only reviewer I trust!
Wow someone that actually gives an honest review I'm mind blown! Awesome video!
You are so good at this I love your honest reviews and your passion for these controllers keep goin.
The Powera Fusion Pro controllers (both) are the smoothest controllers I have ever used as far as controllers that have paddles.
Good controller with no dead zone at all but paddles suck
One thing I leaned from these controllers is that the more expensive ones are way better with the joysticks how smooth and easy it is to move around
Love the brutal honesty bro.
My elite 2 lasted about a year before I started getting stuck drift that bugged the fuck outta me, have an Instinct Pro on the way rn and I’m excited to play with it
Razer wolverine Tournament Edition is probably the best controller I ever bought….i have 2 scuf’s and they ended up broken after a month of use
I’ve had the instinct pro for about 6 months and it’s still perfect and no stick drift at all , I have no issue at all operating all 4 back buttons , perfect for fortnite
I’ve had elite 2 for almost 2 years and has fallen a few times and I’ve gotten it wet and glad to say im one of those few that got a super control i have had no problem with it😁
in my opinion, controller companies don’t have to do anything “significantly different” to their controllers, for them to be accepted by controller users. the technology controller users want is already out there, the only problem is refining them and making them more “reliable” depending on how you view “reliability”. they don’t have to attach popcorn makers and swiss army knives to the controllers for them to be something we would use. just make them reliable, and customization friendly.
then run out of business
Had mine for around 3 months, I love it. It is way better than previous Scuf controllers. I would take it over an Elite 2 every day of the week.
i just ordered mine after owning an elite series 2, that cunt is so bad for durability had to send it back 3 times in 6 months
The buttons are very nice and I don't struggle to use them at all. The one thing is the stick drift it has it after like 4 months of having it.
Love your videos, your honesty is great but also funny AF
Keep doin you kid. Great reviews that have important points and the talking points I'm looking for to know whether I want the damn product or not. Thumbs up from me.
I have one and I absolutely love it, but I didnt pay full price. I think its sick it has magnetic sticks and face plate. I just bought sticks and a new faceplate to make it look and feel how I want. So far holds up great will get back if anything does break. New paddles are 10/10 for placement and feel IMO.
Honestly happy to see your review and particularly interested in seeing your long term feedback… my first Scuff lasted 10 days before the paddle snapped, then two sets of replacement paddles later the left analogue stick ‘melted’ due to its useless material choice…
So pretty standard stuff I suppose.
Articles point is so true, Which is why the elite is the “best”
I like the honesty and you being geniune on this website, you dont get that alot
Happy New Year vCuda and everyone 🎉🎉, thanks for the video's.
Love your vids bro they make me laugh so much and give good info
happy new year bro
Loving the video bro keep it up
bro, i love your videos, you seems like a really funny dude 😂
Finally someone I can trust and relate to on RUclips
I just got my Instinct Pro yesterday after a month wait. I can honestly say it fits my hands a little better than my Elite 2 and it being lighter was kind of a welcomed surprise(or maybe the elite is just heavy). I really liked my Elite 2 but the Instinct Pro just fits my bigger hands better and more comfortably. Warranty could’ve been better though i agree
The series 2 is quite heavy for a controller and fortunately the new XSX Controllers are a bit smaller than the XB1 ones
Stick drift in weeks with those very cheaply made.
as someone who uses hall effect gimbals(aka thumbsticks) for my racing drone controller(very common btw), the fact that gaming controllers dont come standard with hall effect gimbals is just dumb. I'm hoping scuf will be the first to add these into a gaming controller, they're not that expensive anymore, they are super accurate, they never have stick drift(why I use them), and they're proven better. Nice video btw :)
Happy new year brotha man.
Happy new year man, here's to that 100k plaque in 2022 🥂
love your personality! I'm debating on getting a SCUF or a different razer or just sticking to the same one . thoughts?
yes finally u uploaded the scuf review
I found your channel when looking up reviews for controllers( need one for Halo sadly) and fuck man the amount of shit I had to slog through in order to get a real review was insane lol. Keep up the good work honesty is key can't imagine how many kids get fucking jebaited into buying 200$ controllers that die before a year.
Thank you!
Love your reviews and your channel. You give me serious Felix da Housecat vibes haha
Holy shyt😯👍another youtuber as brutally honest as me?😏I'm impressed.
A rare breed indeed my man!

We should be RUclips pals. The honest few need to stick together. We're a dying breed as the promise to sellout becomes more attractive to the greedy aholes.
Like there gameplay and the honest review
scuf is literally incapable of making a good paddle design 💀💀

My personal favorite controller is the Power A Fusion pro 1. The fusion pro 2 is cool too but the paddles on the first one feel better
Love your honesty, broham
This was the review I was waiting for, and actual honest review bringing the pros and cons. We need more people like cuda in the community.
I’m still thinking of getting the controller but I think I’m just gonna wait for the 3 month review to see how the quality of the controller.
Video looking crisp my dude.
You should do a review on cinch controllers!
Cuda is growing fast almost 50k, I remember when he had 10k
Man,
Your job is awesome.
Very interesting your opniom about this controller...
I bought wolverine te because your reviews that have trust ....
Maybe razer wcv2 with triggers could be the perfect controller...
Tks for spend time to share your opniom
A hero was needed. The gods delivered.
You should review an 8bitdo controller for Xbox. It is cheap and has a ps4 layout
Today, 31/12 is my birthday, and like my last birthday, im watching you, cuz ur a god dam insanely good content creatior, now its only about time till my next birthday haha
Happy birthday! 🥳🥳 I appreciate the visit once again
@@vCuda thanks, lucky i dont need birthday to watch you my guy
Even though im back every birthday, im back every video anyway
Spectra still my go to even though I have a Battle Beaver and Elite V2 lol. Love the tention of the sticks and just the way it feels
What tension did you get on the Battle Beaver, and where does the Spectra tension sit between that and the Elite V2 settings?
@@sododgy8338 I use stock on battle beaver and and never changed it on the elite because I wanted it to feel as close to a stock controller as it could. So I wouldn’t get used to it and have to buy 200 dollar controllers all the time. Power a spectra just feels a little tighter not like massive difference but it just feels a lot smoother. The series 2 you can literally set the stick tension to anything you want though if you don’t mind paying 200 plus every time for a controller, but the power a stock tension is like where I would want it anyways.
Honestly after getting the Power A fusion prob2 on sale for 60 bucks I ain’t ever spending 150+ on any controller ever again.
I love you happy new years
just found you at 3:22am on the east coast. you are fucking funny as hell! love it. wont follow yet though
Had mine for about a month but you didn’t mention you can get new sticks from them (which will fix some stick drift inside the stick), faceplates, dpad, and the friction rings.
I bought a razor ultimate took it back bought the elite thinking it would be better and I took it back 2 hrs later, re bought the razor ultimate. I am now greater at my favorite game Apex
Appreciate honesty. It's rare.Take the stings - it will pay off in the end. Look at gamers nexus and hardware unboxed.
Hey bro nice review ...razer raiju also have the same trigger stop !!!
