hey lady its a really great thing about the reselling community, many love to help each other! I am so thankful for YOU and wish you a great thanksgiving as well!
that bible study guide i was happy to make affordable for someone, because they are so spendy and when I was on a budget I couldn't afford upwards of 20$ for a study guide when my baby girl needed shoes. So it was an emotional buy lol the sale fed my soul
Michael's always has a public coupon as well. It may not always work with items that are already on clearance, but sometimes it does and can get up to 30% for a single item. If they have self check out kiosks. You can just do a singular transaction each time to use the coupon :)
i had not been there for so long I forgot about that! i do have an acct for coupons. but my challenge is how do i know WHEN to go lol, i guess i will keep it down to after xmas and halloween because it doesn't seem practical to go all the time?
Hi Mel. I look up things when possible but thats not always possible or you don't have time. So you absolutely have to develop an eye and go with your gut sometimes. Not a lot of risk when paying less than a buck, right. 👍
Yes - I don't like "winging it" at all! I've had to go to garage sales and I just went to a rummage sale where i couldn't look everything up & had to just wing it. Again I have made so many sourcing mistakes w/vintage from Jan-April because everyone i was watching was into vintage 70s but I just can't trust my gut for that genre. There are certain genres i can take a chance. Even 2 or 3 adds up to disappointment it doesn't sell fast enough, or for enough, even if i don't take it at a loss. That is the other thing I consider when taking a chance, in addition to price. Those cross stitch take no room to store. Miss LaShay what have you taken chances on?
@Mel_Flips_It I actually have a video from a year ago, "Sometimes taking a chance works out," haha. I take chances with books often. My average price for books is $00.81, so there is no big risk. If I know it's an interesting topic/genre, I go for it. The gut instinct does come with time. Time selling & researching similar or like items. STR is extremely important, BUT no solds can also mean rare or hard to find, NOT just undesirable. I will also take a chance on vintage items. Of course, the higher the price of the item, the more sure I would like to be, but in reality, there are no guarantees with anything we pick up.
@ no doubt! Books are the easiest for me also & I think it’s bc I used to scour for Tolkien 1st prints or old ones & other used books I have made errors but I mean the learning curve🦄
Great going!! I like how you and other resellers are helping each other. Great going on all your sales!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving🍽️🦃
