Conan was talking about this on his podcast and he said Norm asked the makeup lady at conan’s show who put on his makeup to be in this sketch with him.
This isn't even half the brilliance of it... Norm had done this Sully skit originally in 2009. Conan recently said on his podcast that he didn't "get" it. (I think he only figured it out during the podcast) The joke was that Norm had made a movie about a random pilot, and now, what are the odds that after his movie about a pilot, out of all the thousands of pilots out there, did something actually worthy of having a movie made about it.
Norm came to me in a dream to tell me a joke: A kangaroo and a bear walk into a bar. The kangaroo challenges anyone to boxing for beer the bear challenges anyone to wrestle for a pitcher of beer.
