  • This is a video tutorial on how to replace the engine air filter on a North American Honda Civic between the years of 2009-2011. I know there was a lot of variations of this car between all the different regions but this was done on a North American 2.0L Honda Civic. Although between all the different versions of this car the air filter replacement jobs are all fairly similar. Thank you so much for watching!

    I’ve always been fortunate enough to have someone help me with these sort of things but I recently decided I need to take the wheel and learn myself, so thank you for the educational videos! Much appreciated!

    This is so easier than an oil change yet almost no one does it...lol

    No way no way. This seems absolutely easier than my 7th gen V6 Accord. It's literally remove the top half, remove old filter put new one in, put on the top half and you are done ✅👍🏿

    Thank you so much! My a/c started to smell dusty so I ordered a new one, would have never guessed where it went in the cramped engine compartment

      Well you need a cabin air filter. This is an air filter for the engine. Here is a link to a video like that although it is a different year Civic so it might look different on your car. ruclips.net/video/gNPWN3hbkg0/видео.html

    Some people clean the air filtet by compressed air and reuse it is that correct?

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  7 лет назад

      If you have an after market air filter that is able to be cleaned and put back. But I can only recommend using stock OEM paper filters that cannot be cleaned you need to buy a new one each time. Thank you for watching!

    Is there any difference performance wise in replacing the air filter with a k&n panel filter

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  2 года назад

      Not that I would be able to tell. I'm sure if you AB tested it on the dyno you might see 2-5hp difference but that's just not worth the cost. Thanks for watching!

      K&N filters are good for longevity, 10 year/ million mile warranty and only need cleaning every 50,000km instead of replacement. As well as being a budget way to add a couple horsepower.

    What about the bottom one by the driver side fog light. Does that one need to be replaced too when you replace this one?
