Nicely done. The eggs, the way he handled the eggs. Not sure if I ever could do that! I will have to break them the usual way. Sometimes, I seen Chefs put a big bowl over the vegetables for a couple of minutes - to steam em. Also impressed with the grill or Hibachi cleaning technique. Basic cooking it is - not too fancy. Just enough technique to show skill and dedication. Protein, vegetable, carbo..
I love how you teach the new guy to always be clean. A lot of teppan chefs only focus on fast cooking and show but I like how u teach cleanliness is number one. And also the food has taste like what it is. Vegetables must taste like vegetables etc. you are a good chef and you sound just like my teachers that taught me hibachi
"Yum Yum Sauce is made of mayonnaise, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, sugar, paprika and water to thin the sauce out. That's it!" - I think I will try to make this..
Spam is a Hawaiian classic. It goes great with white rice. Be sure to grill it on high heat to get a nice crust on the outside. Spam, Sunnyside up eggs and rice is a great combination.
Sounds like a Beethoven piano concerto but with a jazz/tango cadenza! Keith Jarrett? Fantastic. Who knows about the cross contamination. Probably not raised in an American factory farm. Animal husbandry has a large impact on bacterial load. I'm a chef and I would eat it. I thought the chef showed excellent skills. If you want Hollywood; go to the movies. Update on the music. Its actually late Mozart; K466 in d minor. The pianist is Peter Breiner. I’m definitely going to listen to more of him.
This would have been a great video if someone would have said what he was doing step by step. Should have been more instructional so people can follow.
Vodka on grill for flame and cleaning. Vegetable oil (can substitute olive oil for the initial roast on the grill due to high flash point.). More Vegetable oil on eggs and fried rice during frying. Salt and Pepper on both them and the veggies. Yum Yum sauce in the middle portion of the rice as it was being piled and then flattened. Sesame oil on the fried rice near completion for flavor (lower flash point).
Sometimes I love this kind of music and right now is when I do i love pads like digital pads with keyboard but it sounds like it's like electric guitar sounding or distortion its badass
Gumawo!
Great video! Thank you! I would love to see more. I found the music to be terribly distracting though. Sounds like the never-ending music heard at a funeral home visitation. IMO would be better with only the sounds of the cooking. Won't stop me from subbing though. Thanks again
And you wonder why so many people get food poison. , wipes on nasty shirt . hands food to helper , these guys cook non stop for thousands of cruising. people
It really makes me laugh when people talk about hygiene. Once upon a time when I was in Seattle, in a very neat and tidy restaurant a man caught a cook spitting cough in someone's soup. You never know what you're eating. Here at least he is cooking in front of people. PS: Put your hygiene in your ass.
I can only tell you how we did it when I was a hibachi chef for 12 years. Fried rice, salt pepper seseme oil garlic butter seafood sauce soy sauce seseme seeds. Vegetables, salt pepper seseme oil garlic butter soy sauce (later we did soy sauce and teriyaki sauce) seseme seeds. Chicken, salt pepper seseme oil garlic butter lemon soy sauce teriyaki sauce seseme seeds. Reply if you want to know other menu items
What was the meat he cooked while the chicken was still cooking cause it looked like treat meat or spam? Cause sure didn’t look like steak and it cut like spam too lol....but surely it wasn’t was it?
Good video, but the sound track is obnoxious. I would prefer the ambience of the chef cooking in the back ground. Thanks
working on it.
Thought this was someone trying to be mean, but holy crap you’re right 😂
Set it to 2x speed for Benny Hill vibes 😉✌️
no matter what people say u did very good every thing from way u prepared food grill oil and all was very good process Great cook
0:32 I'm watching this at 3am and now my eyes are bleeding

That music has me seeing Martin Sheen eating fried rice as he travels up the Mekong River in a patrol boat searching for Colonel Kurtz.
What sauces are you putting on the rice and do you have the heat only on the center or the sides too?
The music is like " this was this chef's final dinner!"
Michael Lesnoski Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!
💀💀
rest in peace
Escape from hibachi!
😂🤣😂🤣
It's always a win when it isn't translated but i still speak the language...
if i could hear beyond the damn music

awesome and excellent craftsmanship in his technique. Love the tricks with the eggs, haha so cool.
Fantastic video and probably the best Japanese chef anywhere in Washington D.C! I hope he opens closer to in Tyson!
music distracting to much. im trying to listen to what he's saying in korean
What was the sauce you poured on the rice?
Yum Yum sauce
"Yum Yum Sauce is made of mayonnaise, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, sugar, paprika and water to thin the sauce out. That's it!" - I think I will try to make this..
40Kens I thought I heard him say Yumyum sauce. I like tomato paste rather than ketchup.
awesome vid, i was a sushi chef but now im starting my hibachi training soon and this was inspirational. kamsamneda
so how was it
I do this as a hobby in my backyard on my Weber Smokey Joe portable grill. I can't stack eggs yet, but maybe next weekend?
every Japanese Steakhouse i have been in has the same routine
Would anyone happen to know what kind of griddle that is? It’s magnificent.
It's a teppanyaki grill
Great training. Easy to follow for chefs in training.
What’s the stuff you poured in the middle of the rice.
haaaaaaaa nice but my mom told me not 2 play with my food. she didn't say he couldn't play with it though. haaaaaaaa jammin 2 the music.
Felt like I am dying, listening to that sad music.... 😢
Gotta stay calm and dress for the funeral
Did he pour shrimp sauce into the rice while cooking it? I've never seen that
Probably a bang bang sauce
What’s that goop he put in the middle of the rice?
Can't hear the guy talking over the music :(
What are ingredients ?
hey jin its ryan i just wanted to say hi
hey Ryan 'hi'
what is the sauce that is put on the rice?
Perfect example of the power of music. Couldn't get through it with the circus in the background...
Never done Spam on the griddle. Might have to try that...

Dent Man lol
name of this song
Chris Zabriskie - I Am A Man Who Will Fight For Your Honor
My favorite type of food period
Anybody know what that is he pours @6:37? I got every ingredient but that. Not one I've seen done.
My question is how long do you cook the rice and how long must you let your rice cook before the day to cook it
Use cold, day old rice. As per cooking times, it depends on what type of rice you use.
I always make my fried rice that same way alsocm I learned it from a old timer back in the day
Smoked turkey tikka fried rice on blackstone hibachi
Smoked chicken fried rice on blackstone hibaachi
What type of rice is this? I'm assuming it's either Jasmine or White rice. Anyone know?
Ive heard most restaraunts will use a blend of 2 to 1. 2 parts Jasmine to one part short grained rice.
The music is crazy
What did he put in the eggs? Was it onion?
CrimsonStang probably butter
Before watching do yourself a favor and mute the music !
How do you get your rice so fluffy?
That is exactly the portion of rice I get at the chop chop.
BTW, I liked the music, I don't speak Japanese so it fit just fine in the vid.
This guy wasn't speaking Japanese. It was Korean.
What is the sauce he pours on the rice at 5:24? Its not soy, he pours soy sauce on the rice at 7:50
Wow.... great video 👍 👍👍

This music had me burst into tears laughing... why is it so obnoxiously loud?
Good cooking but how you keep the rice warm until you complete your meal.

Look good but I've never had spam on my Japanese meals.
they did that for training because the beef they use is super expensive. chefs aint worth that much to them lmao

Can you share the temperature of the griddle please
What are the ingredients and seasoning he is using
What did he pour in the middle of the rice??
Dakota Jeter yum yum sauce
Whoa… that blaring organ music chased me off right away. Is this the Benihana’ restaurant in Fargo? 😬
What did he put on the grill and start cooking after the chicken I could not tell what that was
What is the ingredients chef?
With the egg theatrics, I don't think it's 101 that's advanced level
Funeral home music :)
what is that broad spatula on his right hand called? is it available around the world?
looks great chef good job
This would be a great video if you take out the music
right, I'd walk out of a Japanese steak house that was playing this music.
James Peery I know right 😂
Yeah
You would take out a Mozart piano concerto? Blasphemy!
Josh Beals j Iran news
You need to tell us the ingredients!
If it wasn't for the 3 year old on the toy keyboard,🙄, would like to have watched 😩
homie is Korean but still a good lesson anyway
No onion volcano? :(

With you on that one. I need to hear different levels of sizzling as the food cooks.
Couldn’t agree more!

What's the temperature of the grill? What oils do you use?
I think one is vegetable oil, the other is actually sake
Listen to the sound of the grilling, at least 300-400 range and during the chicken after it’s cut at most 425-450. The oil is most likely canola oil.
MIN. 3:17 HOW TO CRACK AN EGG....
Cocinando con Mozart, bellísimo :)
Thank you for the wonderful video.
And you wonder why so many people get food poison. , wipes on nasty shirt . hands food to helper , these guys cook non stop for thousands of cruising. people

He was clean and neat
It really makes me laugh when people talk about hygiene. Once upon a time when I was in Seattle, in a very neat and tidy restaurant a man caught a cook spitting cough in someone's soup. You never know what you're eating. Here at least he is cooking in front of people. PS: Put your hygiene in your ass.
Ummm, this isnt a cruise.
Went from raw chicken on the spatula to the vegetables. Cross contamination! Always should wipe after placing chicken on the grill with utensils
great video
When I was a whippersnapper, the chef sliced up whole vegetables.
who?
Very good!!
15:01 Is that SPAM ???
After 4 minutes I quit because the music was annoying.
Loved Watching the Video!! Was that “SPAM???”!I saw on the Hibachi!!!?????? SHOCK!!! WHY!!!???😳
and the goal of this music is....? onto the next video
Thought HIBACHI means grilled in... looks like flat top cooking 2 me. No oil 4 da rice? Cutting prep again? Not even close 2 Benehana. What a mess.
Why don’t you show me what you got?
Ima use this soundtrack for my first hibachi

Can you list all ingredients?
I can only tell you how we did it when I was a hibachi chef for 12 years. Fried rice, salt pepper seseme oil garlic butter seafood sauce soy sauce seseme seeds. Are you accepting a new hibachi trainee?😁
What was the meat he cooked while the chicken was still cooking cause it looked like treat meat or spam? Cause sure didn’t look like steak and it cut like spam too lol....but surely it wasn’t was it?
What did he pour after the egg ?
My mom always told me not to play with my food! Lol
A Korean teaching hibachi.
Lose the music and this video would have been so much better. I loves the sounds of the grill and the spatula while he works.
Por favor alguien podria decirme que es eso que le echan al arroz y que está en una jarra ?!!!
