Can NRI student use the advantage of Home State seats in JOSAA counselling for NIT Admissions?
No.
@zynade Read JOSAa brochure for state of eligibility for nris.
@@praveenbaskar12 You are eligible for the home state quota for that state from which you completed your class 12. Since you’re NRI, you couldn’t have completed your class 12th from Tamil Nadu so you wouldn’t be eligible for home state.

As you mention here you Child is completed 11th & 12th from India. So he is not eligible for CIWG quota. But he can get admission through NRI Quota or General Quota.
now what happen sir
Hey, what did you do about it? Did he get admission into NITs? I am in the situation, did KG-10 abroad, completed 11th and now doing 12th in India.
95% is too high for NRI students. I don't think there are many students with 95% and above percentile from gulf countries. I think 90 percentile and above would be good enough to get CIWG quota.....
Nobody knows actually how much percentile the cutoffs maybe as first time jee is considered for dasa - I am just above 90%ile mark , which I feel now is kinda worrying . Due to 4 attempts , many people even in ciwg amongst my peers have scored above 95%ile even 97%ile .
Honestly, I don't think the cutoffs are gonna be high. Since this is the first batch of Jee Mains, we can expect them to be low.
@@flowingriver1773 maybe , we will only know the cutoffs after this tension wrapped season is over. Hope for the best . How much have you scored ?
