- Today I'm trying a new technique on the gel plate. I've used Golden high flow paints on the gel plate before but this time I'm doing it in a free form way without a stencil. I'm just painting right from the bottle on to the plate. Check it out.
I'm slowly rolling out my line of stencils and masks. Check them out here: susanclifton.com/stencils-mas...

I am a retired high school art teacher. I purchased two gelli plates and watch your videos daily, learning so much before I venture into the process. Watching the entire process from deli prints to multiple layers is so valuable. Thank you!
Please don’t stop showing your background making process. Not only does it give us instruction on color and blending combos, but it really has a soothing, meditative feel!
I have no issue whatsoever with watching you create your backgrounds. Please continue to do so.
I always appreciate the visual for the whole process! Thank you for sharing your techniques!❤️😃😊
Since I am just getting started, I like seeing you create all of the backgrounds and papers. Thanks!
I appreciate seeing your background process. Every time you pull a print, no matter how plain, I learn something more.
I enjoy your backgrounds! Thanks for the color inspiration
Loved watching you create just for the fun and curiosity! I agree leave in all the background pulls, it's part of the total process. TFS!
I benefit from watching both, thanks Susan 😊
Making the backgrounds is my favourite part. I’ve made some stunning backgrounds over the last few days. I think I’ve finally found my bliss. Only took 54 years…
This was great! I love watching you experiment - gives me ideas of things to try (or not) with my sessions. Your ‘least favorite’ (the orange & black) is my favorite! It reminds me of some of the surrealist paintings.
I like to see the background colors that you use as well.
I love your experiments. The thin tipped bottles gave me a couples more ideas to try. Thanks.
I am sort of new to this process so, I apperciate seeing how you make the backgrounds also.
Not bored!💕
Love the backgrounds! I really enjoy your videos!😊
Please keep showing us how you do your backgrounds. Loved this experiment! More please!
Like Laura, I'm pretty experienced with the gel plate, AND I take notes on your background colors while I watch. I'm always up for interesting color combos! Great video. Lovely presentation style.🧡
That was fun to watch. I'd just done some gel prints myself. I think I need some liquid paints like you use, my acrylic paints dry too fast in the current heatwave in Australia.
Could you try a dip pen with the very liquid acrylics on the plate? Probably very delicate effects.
