This is so sweet .I have spent the last four Christmas alone ,not just the actual.day .The whole season and for a good few of them Iv cried most of the day .And I can feel that dark feeling inside this year , but I have been mindful this year that I don't deserve to beat myself up all day ,infact I can actually either not celebrate or just choose to spend the day reading and having a nice meal ,snuggle my dog .Thanks sweetheart this video will help many spending time alone xxx

I spent Christmas and NY in Quebec City last year... best time ever... I hung out with other solo travelers and had a blast. You'll be shocked to know how many people are intentionally staying away from family events. 😂
Thank you for this video. I always felt lonely in my family at the holidays, and lonely with my 1st and 2nd husbands' families... my first Christmas alone was kind of nice, no drama. I made it feel cozy, played jazz music and read a good book. Saw some Christmas lights. I hope to establish my own single traditions as time goes by. I prefer being single than trying to fit in where no one wants me or even cares. You have some great ideas, and i appreciate your enthusiasm.
I spent my last Christmas alone, and it hurt because I moved 3,000 miles away from my family and live by myself. Also I don't know that many people in the state that I moved to, so this video is helping me cope with that pain that I am not the only one out there spending The Holiday's alone.
I like spending Christmas alone. It's so cozy and peaceful. Last Christmas I stayed at my moms alone and played God of War on PS4 with a toothache. Now these ppl sit in the living room opening presents, being loud, with nothing but gossip. When I can just lol stay home turn my battery powered lantern on and read a book in the dim lightness.
I'm 57 yrs old, and I've spent 56 Christmases with my parents I want to be alone, and I told them They said they understand, but I carry guilt.. Because they are elderly. I am single, no children And live with my kitty I just want to do xmas my way for once in 56 yrs. I love xmas Eve Day, and I always wanted to bake. And then go for a walk...ya know ...things like that. I know they feel bad But when is it ever going to be what I wanna do I just don't feel the Holidays the way I did when I was young. This year I've decided to make a fancy dinner for myself, nothing over, just fine food enough for one. I could spend Christimas with what's left of my family but I can barely bear with them in ordinary days...
I love this video, this is exactly it. I love the lead up to Christmas and the only thing I like about Christmas Day is the walk, food and presents, so this year I want to avoid the anxiety and stress. I am going solo for 4 days and I will be going for a walk in the park on Christmas Day and I have bought some presents ie some crafts I want to do to. It gives me something to look forward too, without all the stress. I certainly will be watching some true crime documentaries, my guilty pleasure. I love food and I will bring some nice food too. solo is the best and I love making my own rules and it is also cheaper as you don't have to buy expensive presents for everyone

This comforts me. I do not want to go home because i have cats in my college dorm and I prefer to spend the holidays with them. Even if my family is away. Yes its true that I should focus it more for myself and not because of the tradition. I used to spend it with my boyfriend but right now its unclear if I could spend it with him since we are countries away. So instead of being sad I am finding reasons to still look forward on the holidays alone. Thank you so much for this.

I spend Christmas alone. 2 years ago I lost my wife n daughter and with no family (mother n father) around anymore, Kinda fell into a rutt and now dont even have someone I can call a friend. So I spend it alone watching tv or messing round on the pc. Being alone sucks but now its THAT loneliness that keeps me company. No Christmas, no Easter, no Birthday...these are just a day like every other from now on. My work is all I have left.

If someone is celebrating holidays without understanding their meaning then they aren't/shouldn't be celebrating them at all. Otherwise, You're taking a much needed and well deserved day off and caring for yourself. The small gifts to me is sad because those are gifts given to us for everyday. When done in moderation, people should always be able to eat cake or play a video game. If you fail to take the time to enjoy, then you really aren't living.

Most my family have passed, I never married or had kids, so I been alone most holidays, so I know how you feel, best wishes to you a kindred spirit.
