Yeah sure.. orrrrr you sold your own property and your 30yo daughter thinks you owe her a car. It could be she's a spoiled rotten bratt,who feels that she was abused.. why? I didn't let her go hang out or spind the night with people I didn't know, I was abusive because I didn't want my children listening to music that had sexual content or fowl language.. the allegations is this.. I was toooo religious, and that I also stayed in a less than perfect relationship for 32 years,(he's the father of all my children) also I "made her stupid" because I let her quit school at 16/17... but when she was 15 I was told by the school that I couldn't "MAKE" her go to school.. and there's the fact that my children are narcissists just like their father,and other family members. So my message is this, if you stay in an abusive relationship (even if it's to try to keep your children safe)your children will learn to treat you just like your abusive family members do,and as the scapegoat you will find that nothing you say or do will make a difference, your children will see you as weak and hold you in contempt.. so I am learning to love myself and even though my daughter who is just as abusive as her father, has manipulated her siblings (all except 2) into cutting off ties with me.. I know I wasn't abusive and gave my children every thing I had. I know that there's going to be a time when they will pick up the phone to call Mama but there's not going to be a mama to call. She is the one who will suffer in the end, though I miss my children and grandchildren,I will be alright and I will make it through.. but in the end it's going to be my grandchildren that will suffer, I was never close to my grandparents and even though I'm in my 50s it still hurts.

I like to remind you that the incel phenomenon is not because they are entitled asshole who wants sex all the time no they are opening up about the expectation society put on men to be desirable by women and respected by society,but i'm not blaming you for not understanding that because you are not a man.I will give you an example you as a women have conditioned to wear makeup to be respected and treated fairly and you know that, even if you know that you do want to be respected so you wear makeup this exact samething is happening to men they wanted to be treated fairly and be respected and also talk about the expectation placed upon them but they dont have words to express that to callout the unhealthy gender roles and in doing so does not victimise themselves.

The violence and abuse was extreme. If I hadn't cut off my entire family, they would have killed me and they almost did. I went no contact to save my life.

Being able to sit with self is so important, too. I take time to rest and recharge at times when needed. Goes for friends/family, but also relationships. I've had incredible Christmases/ holiday seasons w/ girlfriends in the past. But I've also had amazing holidays being single. Either way, I'm chillin. I'm happy with myself, and if & when I find something new I'm going to be content either way. It's not a necessity, it's an enhancement. This new perspective of being present and happy no matter what has mainly come from sobriety + the 12 Steps :) Great vid, thank you.

I actually find its mentally hard sitting in a circle with family at Christmas with the TV OFF all day long because im introverted so 2 hours for me is enough then i need to go home to energize 😂

I’ve been spending holidays alone for many years unless in a relationship. The amount of family in fighting missed, overdosing events by sibling, spirts of depression avoided and money I’ve saved is astronomical. I love my peace but people will judge. Unfortunately some of us have not had great experiences.

I spent many Christmases alone when I was in my 20’s. I lived in a shoebox size apt and would put up a tiny tree and would buy a “want” to wrap and put under the tree. I didnt have much funds back then, so to get a “want” was really special to me.
