Hi first time watching but what kind of flock is that? N do you have a video showing how you even begin to cut a rhinestone template in cricut if I have a template from creat fabrics or any template from anywhere ? Thank you
Thank you for your videos! I bought the rhinestone stuff from TRW over a month ago. Since I found your video, I went ahead and downloaded SCAL and I am making my first template today!! I am super excited!!!!
You truly motivated me to invest in SCAL 4 and the other supplies to start my first rhinestone project. I think, I missed what you said happened with the size of the holes. Thank you for inspiring me.
Bridget Gainous, I guess I used the wrong size the first time on my Taino Sun. In the SCAL 4, there are two sizes for SS10 rhinestones. I must have used the first option which was 2.70 - 2.80 millimeters. Then there is another SS10 size which is 2.80 - 2.90 millimeters. I think I used the second option when I did my first logo template and it was perfect! But I think this time around I accidentally cut it at the smaller size so my circles were too small for my rhinestones to fall into place. FOR THE FINAL good template, I used the SS11 size which is between 2.90 - 3.00, and the stones fell into place. The rhinestones ARE in fact 3 millimeters big, so its all good! Thank you for watching. I would love to invest in a better program, but for this, for now it works! There's nothing to it but to do it!!! Lol.
christmas gift lol thank you and your right it dont cost anything to be nice. it will come back to you though 10 fold in blessings. so i read comments and see another software possibly utilized and where do you buy rhinestones in bulk? when i was atching the coldesi webinar before searching alternatives since i own a cruicut maker i said wow how far a lite bright idea has gone in 50 years
Good video! Question... if we dont have that blue sticky paper can we create that same concept with htv or regular vinyl? Because with the cricut you can cut the holes pattern then place stones on them. Just wondering 🤷🏻♀️
Thank you for your video. I am still on the fence about what program to use. I believe I have the Silhouette business that I have not used or know how to use haha. I do have a question I like the mat you used to get the rest of your dots out, can you tell me what that is and were can I get one. Thanks
This video was definitely very useful and helpful. I have been having issues with getting my stones to fall into place resulting in me kind of steering away from doing rhinestones. Now I will pick a larger stone size and see how this goes. I do buy my stones from multiple suppliers, The Rhinestone World being one and their SS10 is 3MM; however, the other supplier that I use says their SS10 is between 2.6 and 2.8 MM and this definitely makes a difference when cutting the template.
Thanks for your patient, yours instructions, since I saw your video I made my first purchase at the rhinestone world, and I bought sure cuts a lot 5. Everything is excellent the way you explain, but can you please add a list of material you use, because you know the material but when you call by name any of the material I dont know at which one exactly is. Thank you again.
Where's part 1 or 2? Im simply just trying to find out what material/mat is used to cut the rhinestone template on? (ex: 651 vinyl, htv, 631 vinyl ALTHOUGH IM WELL AWARE NEITHER OF THE MENTIONED ARE WHAT'S USED FOR THIS) ...update I've since learned that the material is called flick
Handy dandy Edit: Sorry Millie, I was poking fun but I thought I wrote more than that. Awesome video, I definitely had no idea this could be done with a cricut and I’ll be giving it a shot tomorrow morning because of your video. Nice work :)
Hi how can a make 4 inch rhinestones stone template it gets smaller holes for the rhinestones when I make it in sure cuts a lot and design space How do I fix this
Cuentas Claras there are other flock materials for rhinestone templates. I have not tried any others but just test your settings before cutting out full template!
Hi I would like to know the link to the Rhinestones you use, I know you said Rhinestone world but i see a lot of info there and I’m real new, algo on the Sure cuts a lot there’s like 3 software options can u help me out 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 please 🙂
I bought some of the stencil sheets on amazon and when I cut my stencil design and ATTEMPTED to put the stones on the stones would not stay in the holes no matter how careful I did it. Would you possibly know why? [I bought the correct size stones and my settings on my cut machine were the same size as well]
prlunaazul you just gave me an idea! Lol. I have a rhinestone decal on my car with my initials, I didnt think of making decals of this or a coqui made of stones for decals. If I figutre that out, I will let you know! 🤓
Marilyn DIAZ DESIGNS i wasnt sure if u couls use rhinestones on the car. thought i can use this program to make a cleaner decal. I have never done rhinestones so i will be watching a lot of videos to learn how to. thank you for sharing. do u sell the things you make?
I don’t know if you remember that I was the one who called cricut about the sure cuts a lot program and they told me it would make the warranty invalid. I spoke to someone else just yesterday and they gave me your videos about cutting a template with my cricut maker. They said that maybe the agent thought I meant I wanted to cut The rhinestone and not a template. I think I will purchase sure cuts a lot program you mentioned. Where can I find it and by chance Have you produced the video you mentioned in comments that you have found another way to make templates using your cricut?
Hey! Yes I remember your comment. The only other way I cut templates is from the program I purchased from The Rhinestone World. Its more advanced. It is a much pricier program as well. If you search sure cuts alot version 4, you should find it online for I believe less than $50 UNLESS price has changed since I purchased it. Im still using my cricut e plore air. I haven't tried cutting magic flock with my maker yet. Hope this helps.
Marilyn DIAZ DESIGNS You indicate on one of the comments below that you are using a different program and you were going to show how to use it on your cricket machine. Have you done yet?
jean11290 the program I am now using is a $700 program I purchased from The Rhinestone World. I am not doing a video on that program as I am still-learning it. That program I use for mostly already made templates that you can change up, that TRW sells as well. Perhaps I’m confused what you’re talking about, my apologies.
Marilyn DIAZ DESIGNS Thank you for your response but this is definitely too pricey for me I’m just starting out. Now I have to wait and see how my business goes before I invest in something that pricey. How did you do your logo by the way I like it.
@@jean11290 I created my logo LOOOONGGGGG time ago on a microsoft program called 'picture it!' Luckily I still have the original png file I created and burned to a CD!
First I want to say I loved my cricuit explore also, but when I purchased the maker, I really fell in love! Go get that baby out of the box and use it!!! I have been checking into some software programs so that I could make rhinestone templates, and After watching several of them realizing that look really complicated, I checked out sure cuts a lot And desiring that was the one I was going to use, you can no longer use the cricuit! Now so undecided Of what to do!!!
Lillian Brown you can use SCAL for Cricut. You just have to export the file, save as svg, and save as compatible with Cricut. I invested in a more pricier and better rhinestone software since these videos, and it’s so well worth the $$ and you can just do so much more! Best wishes!
S Griffin, I buy all my Rhinestones from The Rhinestone World and I invested in a program from them as well. It’s CorelDraw and The RhinestoneWorlds Wizard program. The Wizard is what makes the rhinestones easy to make, but you need Corel in order for the Wizard to work. Check them out! They also have a RUclips and Facebook! I learn so much from Matt! www.therhinestoneworld.com/
You are able to make rhinestone templates with the basic. However I have upgraded my software to another program from the rhinestone world. I no longer use SCAL.
Ahhh, thank for the explanation. Ufff, that sounds expensive. Lol. Was it the TRW wizard?? Matt makes it look so easy when he's doing his live trainings. lol
The program I use now is from the Rhinestone World, it's Corel draw & The Wizard. You need both in order to design with rhinestones. It is pricey, but if you can afford it, you can do so much with it.
I used the fabric setting on the explore air. You can also probably use a different setting that has a double cut, but it cut perfectly for me on the fabric setting.
Ahmed Alwahsh I am not sure of an alternative, however I have seen other people use flocked paper. ? I have never tried that but if you can find a velvety or flocked paper, its worth a try!

I sincerely appreciate your gratitude! I'm glad I could help! 😁

The TRW software? I love it!
I really had the initials wrong. It is the cheapest one.
