Buy one or build a vesc from scratch homie, if you wanna go the vesc rout try to get a used xr, then you can do a vesc conversion pretty easily compared to other models. Or you can buy a floatwheel which is proving that some of the parts aren’t high quality but it’s the easiest way to get a beast of a board
Built is always cooler then bought And let’s be honest, how long are these China boards really going to last… sure you can keep buying parts from china but that will add up over years
you can actually turn filed weakenning start to 80 dutycycle and set it to 30A to get maximum range will probably make it go longer XD. I ride at around 13psi and weigh 160,speed is around 20mph
Field weakening increases top speed by weakening the field increasing the amps..... If it's draining more why would you do this? Can you elaborate maybe I'm missing something
actually in discussions with the VESC engineers and in my own testing, active field weakening does not affect efficiency to a point where it's measurable. Also, raising field weakening start to 80% will have several other downsides that would make onewheels less safe and reliable

We pretty much always wear helmets when riding anything more powerful than an XR. There is a big difference in crashing at 18 mph and crashing at 25mph
Helmets are always cool! I’ve seen some pretty gnarly damage from even just a 10mph fall. Bouncing your skull off of concrete is never good. I tell everyone to wear a helmet regardless of speed on these things. Nothing like catching the nose into a scorpion or worse falling backwards onto the concrete for a little concussion.
On my adv I did a battery test/range test. I rode 17psi and am a 175 pound rider. I ended up with 34 miles. The last 10 miles I was riding a bit slower but thru tall grass and dirt inclines. I could have gotten a few more miles if I stuck to more pavement. I was very happy with 34 miles on a charge.
@@TheFloatLife big same. And mines the standard too. Without the pro battery. I feel like the standard adv is the way to go. I don’t need infinite different ride heights. And the standard just looks so damn good.
I accidentally went 29 mph too. On the road it’s super easy to cruise at 25-27 mph in a blink of an eye while feeling rock solid. The power of this board gives no flux. A 20 mile ride is easy on the Floatwheel at 155 pounds with plenty of uphill.
For pads turning off while at low speed can lower the adc1/2 pad voltages a lil so itll stay engaged easier or in stop setting you can lengthen the time it takes to turn off :)
Range test with 9psi and light tricks? I'm thinking 50 is probably not happening in this video. Yep, not 50. Y'all just ride harder than Tony. For a max range test you gotta do 20psi, 15mph, no stunts, paved no hills (or at least a loop that makes net elevation change 0). Given the battery size I think 40 is realistic.

Im not with tfl,but i can pretty much guarantee they do. I agree 100% with you about not supporting future motion. Hence why im riding a tricked out xr and get more range than a gt.

@@TheFloatLife🎉🎉thank you 😁
I get 34 miles on my CBXR, 165lb...I don't get the lack of miles on new boards.
I hear ya, I got a cbxr in board, a byob charger and a cbxr in my backpack, I have zero range anxiety
I get about half that on a CBXR unfortunately. Also newer boards use more voltage so there's that
@@TheFloatLife i hear that my 4209 out ranges my 4212 tgough the 4209 under 10% can nose dive easy while the 4212 can run 1% forever and feels the same till it dies. :)
That opener 😂😂😂
What city is this? Looks cool
What do they mean when they say its posi'd?
The two zone sensor is changed to a single large one zone sensor
@@TheFloatLife got it, that’s similar to how the old FM ones worked isn’t it?
@TheFloatLife I suggest we keep it simple and call all single tire electric boards an E.U.B. "Electronic Uni-Board". Of course, we can have slang terms as well. Who is with me?
What is posie?
Anyone care to explain what 'posi' is? Is Jake just showing that the board does not disengage until both sensors are cleared? Maybe this is posi but it sounds like too cool of a name for this somehow :)
Yes, that's exactly it. It basically turns the two sensors into one large one.
These Floatwheel videos are sick! Jeff does your ADV feel less tippy since you’ve lowered it??
Yes, it's much better. Not quite XR level, it it feels like a GT on dubs
Electric Uni-Board, EUB (yoob) or Mono-wheel
Love the vidz. I wish I was sooo daring 😮
my GT already replaced my Car i live in a small town and i take it everywhere i have to except for when i go to work because it is 25 miles to where i work from where i live. i enjoy it big
That low psi is a range killer and fawk FM for not lettin bodhi announce!
Float on ⚡💨
So floatwheel better than one wheel? I need all the money bro and what ones to buy stay away from, if they are even worth it.... I need to know everything
Are we sure the floatwheel guy didnt say 50km? On their website it estimates both boards range to be in the mid 30's in miles.
Tony loves to spew bullshit numbers out of his ass
Jeff, you should get on top of the Flannery venture in Solano county. Ignore the press; this is an opportunity to create a float city.
Also share the street tune! :D
Big fan of Professor Feet's video!!!
Me too 🦶
@The Float Life I know it's still early... but I'm at 2k on my xr (was thinking gt) should I hang another season on the xr? *post knee surgery. Newborn son Inc.* re-learn to ride or gt? Lol
