Kobe was very good. Many would say Great. I don't think he was as close to MJ as a lot of people like to say. I honestly think Kobe was a bit Overrated. The NBA needed a Star So Bad after Jordan retired so David Sterns made sure Kobe was shaped into the star he became. Much like how the NBA Screwed the Sacramento Kings in any Playoff Series they played against the lakers.
