My question is though, when you compete in powerlifting, shouldn’t everyone either all wear a belt or not wear it? Because if only one person wears it and the opponent doesn’t, isn’t it unfair that the person wearing a belt has more advantage?
I’d say wrist wraps probably aren’t necessary. If they have no knee pain, then knee sleeves probably aren’t necessary. But I’d say wearing a belt regularly would still be beneficial as it lets you lift more weight which means more strength and hypertrophy.
Good info, coach!
Thank you!

No because someone might be detrimented by the belt. You do whatever you specifically need to do.
Coach, for lifters who no longer want to compete in PL, do you think it’s still necessary to wear competition standard equipments?
