If I can clarify some of these insanely clever lines, he said rihanna said he left hickies on her neck bc mgk said he couldn't pull rihanna after trying and also the autograph for his daughter on her starter cap is a reference to stan because eminem wrote an autograph for Matthew who is stans little brother in the song stan. The reason why eminem references stan here is he's because mgk basically became stan in that stan was a fan but ended up hating eminem just like mgk was a fan but ended up hating him, this was also important because mgk called eminem a "stan" to him in his disstrack so this was a very clever way to rebut that statement. Also one call to interscope and you swayze is a bar because sway is part of interscope and he said he's swayze like patrick swayze in ghost which he's dead in the film. Playing dead that's the only time you hold still was also very good because he also meant holding a gun cause it sounds like "hold steel" but lawtwinz talked on that. Also eminem said he needed reading material for what kelly was eating in his diss and why then said "dictionary" because mgk said em is the best bc he has to stay in his house all day w a dictionary which isn't true so that's another rebuttal. He basically left the “diss track” as a true diss track, not music video with some cute theme or catchy hook. He did that on his actual album. He dialed this battle back to audio where it belongs, not some music video trying to be a song. He’s differentiating Hip Hop heads from just casual rap fans who don’t realize or even know or appreciate deep bars, patterns, lyricism and wordplay/ word-smithing... Em didn’t need his reply to be a fancy music video, because his bars and lines speak for themselves. He brought it back to real Hip Hop with a grimy simple beat with a repetitive piano sample, so that you concentrated on what he was saying, not the instrumental as a distraction to make it seem like the lyrics are better than they really are. If I can clarify some of these insanely clever lines, he said rihanna said he left hickies on her neck bc mgk said he couldn't pull rihanna after trying and also the autograph for his daughter on her starter cap is a reference to stan because eminem wrote an autograph for Matthew who is stans little brother in the song stan. The reason why eminem references stan here is he's because mgk basically became stan in that stan was a fan but ended up hating eminem just like mgk was a fan but ended up hating him, this was also important because mgk called eminem a "stan" to him in his disstrack so this was a very clever way to rebut that statement. Also one call to interscope and you swayze is a bar because sway is part of interscope and he said he's swayze like patrick swayze in ghost which he's dead in the film. Playing dead that's the only time you hold still was also very good because he also meant holding a gun cause it sounds like "hold steel" but lawtwinz talked on that.
