People saying MGKs is better really need to thoroughly listen to both back to back. They say MGK has a better beat and delivery but I think the beat is quite simplistic and MGKs flow is the same throughout with no switch ups. Killshots beat has a little more oomph to it and Em has multiple deliveries throughout showing his skill. Sure a few bars weren't all that great in Killshot but I'd say a lot of MGKs bars weren't that great either. I can guarantee that Eminem didn't even really care about making this song but he seen all his fans asking about the response track every minute of every day so he was like fuck it and gave the fans what they wanted. Seems like Em is taking fan feedback a lot more after Revivals backlash and that means good things for the future. Lets hope he gives us another Bad Meets Evil album, on top of another solo project next year.

High school English and choir teacher here. I appreciated this review because you're the first one to really talk about the musicality of the song. A lot of reactions to this song have been way too focused on the lyrics (which are great in their own right), but I completely agree with the notion that the musicality of this song is the best part. His raps were complex and varied in rhythm, unlike Rap-Devil which followed such a consistent pop pattern (Verse - Chorus - Verse - Etc) where most of the raps were completely recycled rhythmically throughout its entirety. But what else do you expect from Em. His flow doesn't always have to be the same rhythmically for someone to say that his music "flows well". And I agree that he should do this style more than trying to verge into the pop style of rap. He's much better at this.
