Oh wow! I remember when I watched the ending of FFXIII, I was some what semi-satisfied. Some part of me really wanted a sequel and now there actually is one! I personally loved FFXIII and it's story. It is definitely my favorite of the FF series. So with that being said, I can't wait for FFXIII-2 to come out! Lightning is badass. And that new armor? Makes her even more so.
final fantasy will always have a part in my heart and i know they wont leave lighting out as a playable character at some point yes she may not be the main playable char, but she is a still a very important one to the role of what goes on i have much faith in the series it never lets me down

The exact song in this video is actually an unreleased version of "Knight of the Goddess". Square is releasing FF13-2's soundtrack "PLUS" in May, which will contain all of the unreleased/unused songs in FF13-2 as well as remixes of current songs. As of now, "Knight of the Goddess" currently in the game is a remix of this song.

i didnt care for the gameplay in ff xiii because i dont like selecting actions and all that, but it was still one of the best games ive ever played, simply because the graphics were so beautiful, and the characters did such a good job getting me involved into the story. at points i would be crying and others i would be laughing this was basically like a really long, greatest movie of all time to me

They all think Light is dead since she disappeared for 5 years, only Serah and Serah and Snow's son from the future (the other main character, this is just a rumor I heard somewhere and that I thought made sense) believe she is alive and try to find her.
if you look closely the sword the mysterious guy who clashes blades with lightning is holding a sword that looks almost exactly like the ones that Oden has when lightning summoned him in XIII
@BoWLKuTT XIII-2 has mini games. And chocobos (you can fight them, you can fight WITH them, and you can ride them). And it uses the ATB system that has been used in many old FFs. It has great boss music. And a "good" storyline is subjective. Can't say they don't do it anymore if they've just done it. Oh, and don't forget towns. They've given us those too. And large areas to roam with many NPCs that give you missions. This game is not XIII.

The most stellar 1 minute and 25 seconds ever. And better than that, the mythology behind this game guarantees a slim possibility that XIII crosses over with Versus.

Well, Vanille and Fang won't be playable for obvious reasons, and I don't see any reason for Hope and Sazh to get involved (they are both probably happy with their families now). So other then the confirmed Light, Snow is probably the only one who could have some reason to be in the game (he's Serah fiancee). I guess it will come down to how many characters the game will have.

I LOVE FINAL FANTASY GAMES! I actually am amazed how they can think up 13 games plus extras (x-2, versus, Type-O, XIII-2) and there all uniques and the characters, boy are they something! I just wish they would've atleast shown 1 scene with the other characters frm 13 :9 Oh well, XIII-2 and Versus, can't wait :D
The trailers don't even begin to give it justice. This is by far the best sequel to a FF game that they have come out with to date. The story is deep and involving, the characters are beautifuly done, and the sidequests and areas to explore are nonstop! Its even better than the original, they seem to have fixed everything people didnt like about the original.

@veritaai All Final Fantasy games have different stories, universes and characters, they are not related to each other. There are some things that come back in each titles, like airships, characters named Cid, Chocobos, the creatures they summon like Odin, Shiva and others....
I enjoyed FF13, but I hated having to constantly "fight in a complex battle menue system." Fable minimizes this to a large degree, and allowed me to switch from magic, to melee, to range weapons combat with ease and no fustration, thereby allowing me to enjoy playing the game without having to constantly pause it and access a menue system in order to do something. Games like Mass Effect & Fable are clearly leaders in rpg advancements in todays rpg market. FF games need to catch up with them.
@glitchorama123 Each Final Fantasy has its own unique plot and therefor its own number. If they keep the same plot then the same number has to be used. This was also done with FFX.

A friend said he didn't like it because he couldn't run around and had to watch himself get beat up. I told him it that's how some RPG's play. He said if it looks this good he wants to run around. He thought FF8 was good for it's time era. I said FF13 was similar. I was confused. It's not the games that changed! It's the people's biased wants! I've only played FF8 and I think 13-2 is just fine compared to other people who followed the series. It's just a game dudes, don't let it ruin your life.
what i don't understand is that people asked for something new and not slow, people complained on how slow combat is and how it was getting boring, when square made 13 they listened to the fans and made a final fantasy people have been waiting for, but when it came out people only complained because it was not like the classics, but isn't that what fans wanted? something new, something that stands out from the rest, I just don't understand why fans keep complaining for a game they asked for.

@XEPICfailGAMERX Well the reason that they changed Serah's outfit was to make her look more like a fighter/ archer, which in my opinion is what the clothing does. As for lightning, she looks a lot more like a female paladin now, and a girl who means business ( not that lightning had never met business in the first place)

There's ffxiii with Lightening (the female lead in this trailer), and then there's ffxiii Versus with a male main character. They're completely different games, so that's why you my be confused.

@alienxmz Ever played or heard of Red Dead Redemption? That game was developed for five years and it ended up being a -fantastic- game with insane depth and kickass multiplayer. Another great example is Starcraft II that was delayed for -seven- years. It is now arguably the best RTS in existence. Short story, if you want a great game, you let it take its time.

If ff 13 was like pulse the whole time (unlocked crystarium, chosen party, map) it would've been amazing. As long as this does that I will love it.

FFVII needs to be redone in HD before they make any sequels. There's even a demo HD intro they did in 2007
@Aviao100 I think they might involve Final Fantasy XIII characters. Like the ones in Final Fantasy XIII Versus and/or Zero type (I think that's what it's called).
Other characters from older Final Fantasy, not a chance.
