One thing to note is that rubbing two stones together won’t guarantee flatness. In fact, it usually leads to one convex and one concave surface. To guarantee flatness, you need a third surface which is ground against both. The convex surface will make the third surface concave, but then rubbing two concave surfaces together will make two flat surfaces.
Great channel, thank you. You're lining up nicely with a lot of my needs to keep my 2014 EXC 500 up to a decent spec. Even simple sounding tasks, like a speedo and dash that holds the ignition key, a USB power out, ECU switch and low fuel light can take days to get right, but its very satisfying when you get the hang of it. I agree with you about the frustration of "trinket" output in the field, as opposed to items that are both universally useful, and beautiful. Your GoPro helmet mount is genius, and I found your video on TPS outdoor robustness fascinating.
I make some replacement parts for hard to find things, and put them up on printables with non-commercial license. The reality is that if someone decided to take one of my designs use it commercially, there's no much I could do about it. It's the nature of open source.

@KPNH Interesting, I wonder if Spencer recommends alternating between the 4 available flat sides to keep things flat

Thx for sharing, here in the comments, and your designs.
Should have let it render first, before making this video public. I'll watch it later on 😀
