      I know, it breaks my heard when Mama spider tries to hold onto the egg sac as the giant tweezers come for it!
      I hope she really does forget about them quickly (I recall Dave saying he gives her some food soon after, as a consolation prize).
      He's doing her a favour really - that's a lot of shoes to buy for their first day at school, lol! 🤣🤣🤣

    Perhaps the higher temperatures next time will lead to faster development ? Still, any viable sac is a good sac :) The female was really relaxed, hardly fought for her sac being pulled away. I think it goes to show how comfortable she was.

    Finally some time to watch this vdo. Was looking forward to it :) lovely eggsac but so weird that the extra time didn't really do anything.
    I think the temperature thing might be correct but perhaps humidity also helps? Since she's burrowed seemingly to get to a more moist spot.
    Wouldn't it be a good idea to try a misting system that automatically mists the enclosure so you don't have to bother her yet she still gets extra humidity?
    Maybe that would also help with how fast the spiders grow.

    • @roxystarlite4106
      @roxystarlite4106 2 года назад +5

      Old world Tarantulas are from Europe, Africa and Asia etc. New worlds are from the Americas( south, central and North America) there is a distinction because New worlds are slower, milder venom and most have urticating hairs whereas Old world are very fast, can be very defensive and have potent venom and no urticating hairs. Hey Dave!
    Great video! Very beautiful spiders, at all stages of life! Except you know death LOL. I`m sorry i had to, when you have a sense of humour ike mine, it`s hard to resist, i think Slappy may be rubbing off on me heheheehehohohoo.
    Interesting how, although it was left for longer, they were not further developped as expected, we`re learning all the time eh Dave? Even someone like you, doesn`t know everything, something some people who think they know everything need to learn, no one can know everything about anything. Take me for example: I love horror but do i know everything about every character? No. I love reptiles, inverts and all manner of life, do i know everything about them? No, i`m always learning! Learning from people like you Dave, you`re awesome, you know that? I refuse to believe that you don`t have a background in teaching, it comes too easily to you, it was meant to be...
    Do leave a reply Dave! I love reading replies you leve me. It`s the least you can do really, after all the support and nice comments i give you, and i am your #1 Fan as dubbed by you in Scott`s Streams eh Dave? I hope you, Camera Lady and The Beasties are well! See you on Thursday Dave, looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us!

    How many viable babies were there? It looked like there were a LOT! How many more eggs would have to be there for you to consider dividing them into two incubators? I wish we could have seen the spider , to see the size of her abdomen after such a clutch! Keep it up!

    I know from the accent this might be a stupid question but never know if someone has moved or not. But is Dave located in the US? As he gets these slings and might be interested in purchasing some.
