I got a sling of this species in a mystery box that I purchased for my birthday from a breeder over here in the US. I've named it Sgt. Pepper. I am so excited now after seeing this rehouse. It's burrowed and it's in heavy premolt, about 2 cm total length.
    Yours is beautiful!

    What a lovely spider!
I get the "nah" part of buying a fossorial spider, because I too thought they're "boring"
    BUT:
After you introduced the aphonopelma seemanni the other day I got me a small juvie girl of those, I put her in an enclosure with a good amount of packed dirt and she immediately started digging a tunnel system and I was surprised about myself because I couldn't stop watching her. I can pick up the enclosure and see all the tunnels she dug. I find that quite entertaining! Plus: She likes to sit in the entrance of her newly built flat 😄
Beautiful little thing. Thanks for introducing the species! ❤

Ha! I ended up with one of these attempting to buy a second P. sp blue, but it turned out to be a yellow/blue...surprises are the spice of life (at least it was female...that's something). Calling them "diggers" is a bit of an understatement based on my specimen. She doesn't just dig, she excavates the entire bottom level of the enclosure, literally doubling the substrate on the surface, often piling it until it's near the lid. But then, as you say, she's out on top of that pile all the time (outside of pre-moult). Quite the character, but she'll make a mockery of any decoration you try to put in there as it will all be underground when she's done :). A beastial eater though mine, there is nothing she won't take down instantly, with extreme prejudice.

Looking forward to seeing how the colours turn out when mature. As of now it's more like greyish-blue on the legs, would be cool if they turn really blue like, say a GBB. Or is it the camera? That's a really interesting species I have to admit!

There's a local pet store I've purchased 4 Ts from. There is a GBB that's been there for some time now. I noticed it's carapace is yellow. Kept saying to myself, either something has to be wrong with it or it's not a GBB. After doing research, this video coincidentally is posted. I came to the conclusion that what they have is a yellow bottle blue and not a GBB. I'll inform them next time I go to purchase crickets. Maybe the price will decrease lol. If not, I'll wait til they go on sale (during repticon).

I’m excited for it to get bigger and get it’s lovely adult colours

Hey Dave, I was wondering, I do Sim Racing but in VR, Now imagine an App of some sort, A Virtual Spider, That a kid looks after, Or even someone can learn about a spider before they actually get one, Different spiders ect, So creating a Virtual Pet Spider in VR, Or a VR Pet spider, There could be scenarios involved where people do what you is doing here, Re-housing ect, Personally I wouldn't do the spider thing, I am too much of a Sim Racer, When the Quest 2 VR goes on, So do the Sim Racing, lol, VTOL VR is also pretty good in VR, Flying jets and helicopters is actually pretty fun....
But yeah with the Quest 2 VR being so popular imagine having Virtual Pet Spider's to look after and keep alive, Plus in the VR world you can have as many spiders as you want to make the VR Pet Spider a bit bigger so to speak, Plus with VR the kids can learn about different species in educational ways, So many different different amazing things can be done with VR......
