This whole situation is even funnier when you remember that time Kiermaier completely lost a routine fly ball in center field and Arozarena hauled ass all the way over from left field and made a diving catch

The left fielder would have already had his momentum going toward the plate, so his throw would have probably reached home sooner. And besides, the throw wasn’t good enough anyway, so who’s to say the left fielder wouldn’t have thrown a better ball? We won’t ever know I guess. Just a bonehead move by Kiermaier in my opinion. Maybe great defensively, but he got in his head on this one.

Right. How many steps did he take before he had to stop, plant himself, and then throw? That's all time wasted. They are professional baseball players not some minor league baseball team in BFE. The guy calls for the ball and it's in his zone. It's his ball and he is in a better position to challenge the runner tagging up. We all know this. It takes some big balls to coming flying over and impeding when you got called off. So many things could have gone wrong. End result could not been miss catch or a collision and so on. Then in the interview after the game basically doubting our teammates ability. His outfielders is a cocky way of saying teammates. Like it or not it's just my opinion. Also I'm aware the center fielder is the captain of the outfield. You still don't call off someone that's in a better position to make a play.

I remember in Little League we had a kid who would do this all the time...... One game near the end of the season coach told the other outfielders to not go for any balls and basically let the kid play outfield by himself...... We got mercied that game but he learned he how important it was to have other players back there helping you.

As a former athlete, icing is incredible for recovery. After the game/race/contest everyone ices everything in every professional sport you do and don't watch.

Right. How many steps did he take before he had to stop, plant himself, and then throw? That's all time wasted. Whereas Randy is straight ahead of the play and is facing the right direction for a tight play. Instead, the runner is safe by at least a step. Same as the other play shown, which was shorter and more an obvious out by the correct fielder.
He was also completely off balance and had to land and gather himself to throw

And his 94 mph outfield throw didn't work on a shorter catch and throw cause angles are angles no matter what. A straight 90 mph throw is better than an angled 94 mph throw. Randy's momentum is direct.

They are professional baseball players not some minor league baseball team in BFE. The guy calls for the ball and it's in his zone. It's his ball and he is in a better position to challenge the runner tagging up. We all know this. It takes some big balls to coming flying over and impeding when you got called off. So many things could have gone wrong. End result could not been miss catch or a collision and so on. Then in the interview after the game basically doubting our teammates ability. His outfielders is a cocky way of saying teammates. Like it or not it's just my opinion. Also I'm aware the center fielder is the captain of the outfield. You still don't call off someone that's in a better position to make a play.
I love how he's saying his teammate got in his way, when said teammate only needed a light jog to get under the ball and he has to sprint his ass off from the other side of the planet. Totally unnecessary but really funny.
I remember in Little League we had a kid who would do this all the time...... One game near the end of the season coach told the other outfielders to not go for any balls and basically let the kid play outfield by himself...... We got mercied that game but he learned he how important it was to have other players back there helping you.
