He sounds like the fine print that they sped up at the end of an ad.
🤣😂
I'm actually glad to see this. Please more one on one situations where people from both parties are ACTUALLY talking to each other instead of listening so they can respond
Enjoyed listening to this. Opposing viewpoints. No name calling of others outside the party. No hitting below the belt.
Totally agree! 👍
I agree. So refreshing to have genuine respectful discourse. I want to hear more of this.
I wish Anna would have asked Ben to recite the WAP lyrics.
Bring a bucket and a MOP for this wet ass P-word
For a pair that hates each other as much as these two, this conversation was surprisingly civil.
I didn't know they hated each other.
Shapiro doesn't hate Anna. One does not hate the flea on a dog's tail. Intellectually, Anna is even smaller than that.
@Hoplite 224 I bet she is far higher than you on the intellectual level. That must make you microscopic then. Just kidding here, I don't stoop to the low point. I actually refrIn from insulting other people unless they truly deserve it.
You folks should read the comments of this same video on The Daily Wires page. It’s very appreciative of the healthy discourse and Ana herself. I find this conversation and some of the warmth shown to each other refreshing. The temperature moving even just a notch in the right direction is great.
Now compare that with the comments here from Young Turks fans and see if you can figure out what's actually responsible for the polarization in this country right now.
Comments here are 50 percent hate tho lmao
We need more of these discussions. It’s the only way America can heal.
You are living in the past
@@rickspalding3047 It does look bleak i cant disagree with you there, but hopefully with people like Ben who have platforms with huge outreach, it can at least rebut some of the nonsense, there are also people with similar outreach on the other end of the spectrum as well....We will need them all.
It’s nice to see people with differing political opinions treat each other like actual human beings. 🌸 More of this!
*Political opinions or just an exchange of good faith and bad faith political opinions???? Ben knows very well the strong anti-semitic nature of the far rightwing, but that's where his children's bread and butter on the table is generated from - deliberate spouting of misinformation that he, himself, doesn't believe in!!!*
No
Really enjoyed this conversation. Well done 👍🏼
I really enjoy these conversations. They don't happen enough and I think they are often very revealing.
So Ben admits that conservatism is really about grievance politics and playing the victim, good job Anna.
I bet after this conversation Ana needed a long shower.
We need more videos like this, left and right having respectful conversations with one another. Instead of fearing the other, we should seek to understand the other. That alone will improve the hate we see today. Great stuff.
This is how conversations should be had. They disagree on a lot, and like Ana says, they are respecting each other and having a conversation. This is missing from the highest levels of our government. Our top level politicians should take note from this elementary concept.
Sadly, hatred and division sells and it's all about the ratings and the money for the media and the politicians. Telling you that the opponent is a scary monster gets you more invested than having a "boring" old school debate/conversation.
Thank you Ana…..and Ben!………for an intelligent, nuanced discussion………..gave me room for thought………..Good job TYT, and dare I say, DW………….I’m sick of being angry……..I want some adult, thought provoking information and analysis, We have problems and issues that need solving……….Be well, everyone…….
I really love this. It feels like there is hope. It’s so nice to hear two people have a real conversation without the childish theatrics. It been so long since I’ve felt calm while listening to a political debate.
As a European here, I very much enjoys these talks from Ana with Ben. 2 Adults in the room, respectfully engaging in discourse from opposing standpoints. And finding middle ground. There might be hope for the US yet...
That was calm and sensible. If only more cross politic talks were like this
Any vote for a republican is a vote for 1823 to be relived.
I appreciate Anna and her abilities to create the space where opposition can become agreement…well done Anna🌀♥️
Yes. And chance will see her talk to Rubin?
The funny thing is that if you look at the comments on Ben’s channel, people are mostly praising Anna for coming to talk to Ben. But here, people are just dumping on Ben Shapiro and even Anna. It is gross. You don’t have to agree with him. You can say how you think he is wrong and propose alternatives, but it is not right to just call people idiots and stupid. It doesn’t change anyone’s mind.
I think its less that the TYT audience are being unfair to Ben, and that the comments on TYT have always been a fighting ground for ALL people, usually screaming how terrible TYT are, or you get the alt-right sometimes who are just nostalgic for the 2016 election "TYT trump win rage" thing
hahahaha...I came over to TYT to find out how their supporters reacted to a great "coming together" discourse. I observed the same thing as you.
I agree. I don't really like him, but there's nothing to fault here, just a conversation. Plus he makes some great points.
How did we became so polarized ?
I noticed the same…. I’ll assume those comments are mostly from 15yr old children, or closed minded, hateful people.
While I personally disagree with Ben's politics I absolutely love these discussions. They are absolutely needed...because they showcase the fact you can point out things a rival political group is doing right without being a traitor...you can have a discussion without anger
Finally, a healthy discussion with two civilized individuals treating each other with respect who don’t need to scream at one another.
It’s amazing to see both sides having intelligent and productive discussions. ✌🏾
Refreshing conversation . You should do more like this
Bit rich of Benny here to accuse Democrats of indulging in political hyperbole and catastrophism about opponents.
Great conversation. Please more of this.
I would LOVE to see a show with these two doing political analysis back to back
Ben is so lost. So sad.
Always nice to see Anna and Ben having yet another civil conversation
Obama changed the Republican electorate more than Romney did. Ben is a good debater but his actual points are weak.
Thank you for this. I disagree almost 100% with The Young Turks on most things but hugely appreciate the willingness to engage on these topics.
Ana smashed this segment.
The charitably given to Ben Shapiro is entirely unwarranted.
I hope this is the future of the channel. Civil discourse vs mockery, undeserved or not.
Shapiro and his far-right friends don't deserve civil discourse. They deserve to be defeated politicaly from now until the end of time.
Calling mitt Romney white bread. Ok, first time Ben Shapiro has ever made me laugh.
Then that must be the first time you’ve ever heard him say anything
@@gbangerlove nah usually he’s just a dork
"He's white bread with margarine." I almost spit my coffee out 😂
Notice how conversations like this happen when humility is present. We all need more of it imo.
Really nice to see fairly opposing ideologues sit down civilly having a good talk.
Hopefully these two have more follow ups. May we all spend a bit more time outside our echo chambers
Glad to see Ana and Ben have a civil discussion. Can’t stand his politics but I can respect his willingness to talk with TYT. More stuff like this please.
Having differences should really look like this. Now I have my issues with Ben but both of their ability to SPEAK devoid of emotion, fact focused, analytical focused; should be all of our goal. Say what you believe, try to think clearly, use facts. Simple.
Couldn’t agree more…. This is what actual political debate should be. Idea vs idea … more of this please
How long until Ana does another segment calling him a racist grifter?
That thumbnail of Ana 😆. Seriously tho thanks for breaking these clips down. I’m watching them now.
It's really amazing, how Ana, with her calm, but serious attitude, brings Ben Shapiro, whom I otherwise despise, to speak works which actually make sense. I mean: His and my political views could hardly be any more opposed, but he still seems able to engage in a reasonable debate, and that's more than can be said about many Republicans/conservatives..
yes, you need to have conversations with people with different opinions, but and however, this guy is not the one, sis.
Agreed, unless you are gonna bring the heat on him and his twisted ilk...which Ana regrettably did not do.
I hope this gets more views
I came here to watch Ana tear into this guy. But I ended up staying for a pretty interesting and insightful interview.
I could watch a entire series or channel of these types of conversations from Ana and Ben.
That was refreshing to hear and productive discourse, points and counterpoints and not just bile and screaming. Thx guys for putting that together.
Ana,
I enjoyed the interview, but you were nodding in agreement too much for my comport. Please don't let Ben turn you into a fast talking conservative LOL.
We need you on our side !!!
ur an idiot lol
instead of being happy that two ppl with opposite views are having a polite classy conversation in todays polarized climate, you want things to go back smh.
Its really hard for me to listen to Ben speaking. Literally nobody speaks that way in a normal speaking voice. It comes off as disingenuous and a shtick.
What grown straight male, who’s already only about 5’5” and very slight, purposely make himself sound like this on top of it? Lol If anything he’d make himself sound like Barry White.
Two completely different people having a civil discussion, and the comment section is toxic as fuck over it
Get over yoself
i fell back in love with ana after this
@@BriFiConnections what the fuck are you talking about? She has complimented ben MANY times. Can you give me an example?.
Nice to see these two have a constructive discussion.
☮
Which conversation? She just let him say his nonsense 😅
Shapiro is an interesting voice, paired with a genuine thinker like Ana, not just singing in echo chamber.
Yeah, he actually sounds like he has some sense when he's not doing bad takes on pop culture...
These two represent what mainstream media hate, or what the general public is supposed to be afraid of. These two are seen as having the most “polarizing views” on both sides of the political spectrum, but if we can just put that aside; it’s just two people being able to talk to each other about their differences without it turning into a fight. It’s good to hear others opinions then you can come to a mutual agreement one something’s.
I would love to agree but at some point the talking has to turn into action because people are suffering and time is ticking. These discussions don't do anything but make a pretend lie.
I appreciate Shapiro referencing McCain here... As a middle roader I've always felt that a TRUE Republican is someone I could support. And disagree as much as you'd like, but I haven't seen a Republican worth a damn since McCain...
This is a debate style interview? I miss this style communication within politics now a days.
Good to see finally open discussion.
Like or dislike either one .... this is needed in your country.
Confirming your differences far better than tearing yourself apart.
Can't stand TYT, but Ana handled herself well.
This is the best insight into how you can have a coversation on issues that affect people.
It’s beautiful to see two brilliant well informed minds debating so politely! More of this please!
Great job Ana.
I long for the country I grew up in. The 80's were great , even the 90's were very tolerable. Today is like a never ending pain in the ass.
that's because in the 80s you were having your big dinner, in the 90s you realized you over-ate a bit, but now you're presented with the bill
@@FilthyPhilify No, but guess you weren't their to understand.
This was great. More of this
They need a show
Ana has that Robert DeNiro look in the thumbnail. The one gif where DeNiro is pointing and smirking lol
I loved this whole discussion. It wasn’t a Jimmy Dore/Tucker Carlson interview where Dore is just there to hammer democrats (Ana does too tbf). She pushes back in areas and she actually has a lot of disagreements and makes them known to Bens audience. That makes all the difference in the idea of platforming
I’d like a lot more of this
all i can see now when i look at ben shapiro is a man belting out oklahoma show tunes at the top of his voice
I actually love this dialogue. Ana did a really good job at holding back from any commentary that may illicit a defensive reaction and kept the discussion to being about similarities of thought rather than butting heads about the differences. I've been watching for well over a decade now, but these interactions with Ben has impressed me so much.
Ben's comments about why people continue to support Trump made sense. The more you attack him, the more people feel like he's a victim and you just have to defend him. But for the record, I don't feel that way about people on the far left. Somebody picks on AOC, and I usually don't get upset about it.
I think thats due to how the election went
I mean Ben even started it started with mcain or 2008
So from then the gop is like in a losing position I think the only reason the Democrats choose Hillary as their candidates is because they thought there is no way they could loose
I don't think the democrats were in a desperate situation like this
A fantastic discussion.
Very well said.
This is the first time I have ever see Ben Shaprio talk to someone without having an argument😲
@We need angels I think it’s implied that they meant “someone on the other side of the political aisle”not just like, anybody ever.
@@SamyTheBookWorm I wouldn't try with him imo, he's an obtuse right wing idiot lol.
I don't like Ben Shapiro, but hes not stupid, like Crowder and the other pundits.
Truth. He's incredibly disingenuous about 90% of the time, but he's not dumb.
I struggle to listen to that voice. I hate his voice, I hate the policies he pushes as well.
easier to mute and read cc
I wouldn't mind this every few weeks.
I honestly didn't think that people still had adult conversations in politics. More of this please.
I'd be terrified to debate Ana and I mostly agree with her lol.
Why she’s an easy W for the right wing
She is completely right. I’m a conservative and I agree
Who is she?....she's cute, she's younger than me but I have absolutely no clue about her....
@@ouch74 She's a liberal.
@@jamessummers5936 So is the jam she spreads.

Great vid
I would love to see debates hosted by Ana and Ben. The questions would be hard hitting and I honestly think they would take the candidates to task if they didn't answer the questions.
He is nuts.
I wish we could have more conversions like this vs debates. Not everyone is locked into one side and would like to see perspectives in a more good faith discussion.
*Trump won because people didn't go vote (amongst other things), not because he was a good candidate
Very true. Both the republican and democratic votes were depressed in 2016, but the democratic vote turnout was more affected, and Trump won.
Due credit to Ben: “You’re letting the opposition pick your candidate” is spot on. The sophomoric fetish for “owning the libs” is basically cutting off your nose to spite your face.
As to Mitt Romney, from what I gather he was scarcely any Republican’s first or even third choice; he just had a greater plurality of first past the post, choose-one votes in a crowded field of contenders.
His fellow Republicans in the primary so shot him up as an out of touch elitist that, come the general, the Obama campaign scarcely needed to do more than repeat that line.
John McCain’s swing to the right included forming a ticket with Sarah Palin, John the Baptist to Messiah Trump in the post-Bush GOP’s hagiography. The party was already a smaller tent in which even Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan were really too moderate for the increasingly dominant fanatics.
Rommney, is considered a democrat to republicans
You may not agree with his ideas or the way he takes on many issues but you have to recognize the guy is brilliant and very professional.
...point to a comment or video of his that counts as "brilliant".
Are you a fan of his? I ask because I find that so many posts praising right wingers that start with, "You may not agree with...BUT..." seem to be suspiciously absent of real substance.
@@alphasylpheed3861 Ben Shapiro is a Right Wing Jon Stewart. Funny and Well Educated. Both could've worked in Hollywood or Washington DC.
@@thegoodpimps Ha! 😃Yeah...just LIKE Jon Stewart, except for the tiny problem of absence of talent.. Were it not for being born into wealth AND all the money that gets showered on right wing pundits (which has been confirmed by the recent contract disagreement revelations from supremely untalented Steven Crowder) Benji coulda worked in Hollywood or D.C., but not as a comedian.
@@alphasylpheed3861 Being born into wealth doesnt make anyone better than someone born into poverty. There's no advantage, there's only difference. Comedy is all about the performer and audience relationship. Shapiro would make a great comedian in the south, not a lot of rich jews, its his audience and talk about fish out of water.
@@thegoodpimps My point was that Benji wouldn't have a SHOW if he was not born into money AND has BILLIONAIRES shoveling money at him and his show...without concern about needing to make an actual profit.
He is not funny. But if you think he is...just quote a joke of his that was funny.
I'll wait...

First, there was moose vs. squirrel. Then, there was spy vs. spy. Now, from the makers of Hasbeen, get ready for the latest blockbuster, Hack vs. Hack.
Damn why did the interview cut short I was getting into it!
It's the long interview cut into pieces, so look for the long one in TYT's vid section.
Ben has the whole thing on his Sunday special. Great watch!
Great comments.
BEN HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT - HE IS MAN CHILD AND SOCIOPATH NARCISSIST
God finally some good honest conversation between a progressive and a conservative! we can as americans come together!
How many cups of coffee does Ben drinks every day, or is he on speed. ???
Ben is definitely not a stoner. He would instantly turn into Jim Ignatowski upon taking the first toke.
Wish Ben would interview Sam Seder, but they’re all too afraid..
Ana is so smooth.
When did this conversation happen?
Not sure when it was filmed but Ben has a series called The Sunday special which I just him talking like this with whatever guest he can get on. He doesn’t release them as often as he used to but he’s had Generals, Ministers, Andrew Yang was on once, the author Orson Scott Card. Honestly it’s a pretty mixed bag and you can find whatever you want. Anna was one of the best IMO and I’m not a huge fan of this channel, but the Ben Netenyaho one was really great, simply because Ben and him were so similar in a lot of ways you could tell they really hit it off, and Ben was almost intimidated in a big brother little brother way by BB for a bit.
Can't say when the actual interview/debate took place, but you can find it in its entirety here: ruclips.net/video/7jwUiTvNkGM/видео.html
I get what Ana is doing with this, and I think there is some value there, but this was entirely too civil and didn't hold Shapeepee accountable for all the hate and pain he spreads. And, i don't think anyone on the Reight will be swayed by discussions like this. Their objective isn't to have discussions and move minds, their objective is to cause pain and keep the wealthy in power. So, all in all this was frustrating and I wish Ana had used her considerable talent for almost anything else.
Thanks for not answering the question Ben
She asked him what he thinks the solution to far right candidates not appealing to larger groups of people was, and he answered that they need to promote someone who is more tactful in the way they deal with the left/ media outlets.
