@@Akihito007 Shapiro has his own agenda too. He is well spoken, I agree with that, I find some of his content entertaining, but I never watch any of this content without filtering in my mind what both sides are trying to articulate and the real meat and grit behind their arguments.
Yes Ben is highly articulate but his argument is fundamentally flawed, no matter how well he articulates it. "CRT" doesn't exist period. It's just like "communism" and "socialism", yet another scary word trotted out by the right. I also find it highly ironic that ppl like Ben and proponents of cancelling "CRT" talk about the divide that CRT is forming in the country but they are doing the exact same thing. This wasn’t “debate”, it is infotainment for audience capture and retention. A debate would be two to three hours with a moderator, a proponent of CRT and an opponent. It would start with coming to a mutual agreement on definitions. It won’t happen because proponents of CRT would never agree to this.

If you’re going to teach CRT in schools, and thus be overly fixated on race, then it’s not worth teaching. Furthermore, if this is meant to be an attempt to make other non-black races feel bad over something they had no control over, then that is yet another reason to not teach CRT. I understand slavery was a horrible event in our country’s past, however, if we’re going to play the “Which Race Should You Feel Bad For” game then black people should get in line right behind Native Americans and Mesoamericans 💯

Ben gives a good, real definition of CRT here. It is monstrous, and what's beautiful is that the CRT goblin publicly endorses it shamelessly.
He says out loud that under CRT, the existence of a disparity, by itself, is evidence that said disparity is caused by discrimination. This is transparently retarded. Newton saw an apple move from a tree to the ground; saying that the existence of the movement is evidence that a force called gravity caused the apple to fall is as logical as saying that the existence of the movement is evidence that aliens caused the apple to fall; better evidence is needed and this is a dogshit epistemic standard.
CRT scholars never actually do the research to show that this is the case. They'll just point to something like an income gap, and point to all sorts of statistics on outcome differences, but never give proper evidence that discrimination is to blame because they're operating on a perverted version of critical theory which has descended into relativism.

All Nance was doing was countering Shapiros debate. Nance not only was right, Ben knew Nance won the debate at the point when Ben was talking about Fox News and Nance countered by bringing up conversations on Fox about viruses as an example, Ben stopped dead in his tracks, knew Nance had just nailed him, and retreated and covering himself by stating he was confused. And the debate ended. I don't watch that much of Shapiro, because I find it boring that he preys on those who aren't seasoned debaters and has made a lucrative career doing so. Nance got him. It went over Maher's head, the audience heads, and obviously your head. It was exquisite to witness and get the rare opportunity to see Shapiro in defeat. Maher has no clue what a gem this truly was. Only hope it was pointed out to him.

@@cinemaconnosseur Ben is correct about critical race theory and Malcom’s first words were saying he completely agrees with bens characterisation of critical race theory. Don’t fall into the trap of defending something terrible like CRT just because right wingers speak out against it. Believe it or not the right can babe correct about stuff occasionally.
Malcom showed here that he doesn’t actually listen to or understand the right wing argument because he assumes that the right just want to prevent the teaching of history, which I’ve never heard anyone argue apart from idiots like nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer who nobody on yen right even likes.
