    Thank you for posting this *Real-World* vehicle review. It covers several *Practical* areas that are important to daily driver/owners. For example, I appreciate time spent on the rear seat adjustment, leg-room, hatchback height, and the honest comment about maintenance: "At the same time, you're going to deal with a lot more cost. You are... But then, *you're driving a Porsche.* "

      I don't want to ever replace it. Perfect family car and it's tough! Brakes are amazing!

    Considering a 2011 with 121k miles for $11k. Still a good guy?

      Yessir. You don't get the insurance break because it doesn't have the blind spot monitoring and you only get one centrally equipped lock and unlock button, but yes it's a lot of SUV for $11k

    Hey man, I started to take a look at your videos and I'm super interested, I noticed to drove a CLS back in the day, idk if you still drive it or not but I have a couple of questions as I'm looking to buy a used one. There is one currently going on sale, a 2008 CLS550 for 13,000. This would be my first car and I really like the Mercedes model, only concern is that it has 76k miles on it, Would this be a good idea? I don't want to run into any big maintenance issues.

      Hey Altinox,
      That's a lot of car you're considering for your 1st vehicle. Lol where do you go from there speed and refinement wise? Okay jokes aside, the mileage is fine but try to get a carfax or look up the vintage. If you see a long time where it seems the vehicle wasn't driven at all, it could be an indicator of a major repair needed. Take with you an OBD reader and check the codes of course too. The car is solid, the 08 has the upgraded tranny and the engine never gave me an issue. Listen closely to the engine to make sure theirs no rod knocking or excessive lifter noise which could indicate the car was operated with low oil. Brakes are going to run you $1600 at the dealer so check those well and rear tires are going to run you $600 a set. I think it's a sealed system but check on a tranny drain and replace (not flush), it get the shifts a bit quicker which is the only slightly slow thing about the car. Oh and take it easy on the pedal, 5.5L needs to be respected!

    CoPilot said that 2011 year model is even worse. It has had the same number of complaints from customers, but these are more severe than those in the 2004 model. Overheating has reportedly occurred at only 15,000 miles, as well as a complete engine failure at under 40,000. Premature brake wear is another known issue, potentially happening as early as 21,000 miles and costing $3,000 to fix. Overall, we recommend avoiding the 2004 and 2011 year models because of the unnecessary stress they’ll give you that other models won’t.
    My question is after fix the above issues. Do the issues come out again and again ?
    You know that 2011 vehicles must be over 100000km, even more like 200000km 😂
    Thanks

      I haven't had any of those kind of problems out of ours. It's been very reliable and just plain great. Engine has never overheated not even once. Brakes were replace under $1000. Engine in the 3.6 seems unstressed and strong. Transfer case started thumping but I just replaced the fluid myself and it resolved the problem. Over 2 years of ownership and its been amazing. The Cayenne caused me to get out of my Audi A7 and buy 2 911s. The 911 is the same.

      It amazing for traveling. One of my favorite vehicles ever. Just the seats alone. I love the base with the 18 inch wheels. No complexity and it sucks up the bumps!

      @fcimports9823  Год назад

      Yep petrol. I was looking for a deal at the time and my wife is a stay at home so the SUV wouldn't be driven a ton. Plus I like the lighter engine which saves the suspension.
