It is strange how people want to the beast to in our century. This was in the era of the disciples as Jesus said. He said that generation would not pass until it was fulfilled. Jesus has already defeated Satan at the cross, and to the heart of the earth to give the ones there a chance at the promise of salvation. We are in the age that was to come.

One thing if you read that the whole world be taxed in Jesus time and there was a census was going on in Rome to see how many were Jews were in the land. They all had to each go to the in which town they had came from.

More illogical arguments from Andy Woods, especially the way Nero died, Woods is truly splitting hairs here. His part 2 is even worse than his part 1.

What specific logical fallacies did he commit?

@@TheRdawg16 Andy Words totally disregards the Fact that Revelation is a long and cryptic letter written to seven first century churches. All 22 Chapters were written to and Addressed to seven 1st Century Churches. The book wasn't written to us, even though it's there for us. It was God's will that all 22 Chapters were to be read out aloud to the seven 1st century churches. So every thing in it had to be relevant to and potentially understandable to the seven first century churches. It's prophetic, but only for the 1st century believers and the Jews. Very dramatic things are about to befall them like persecution, Martyrdom and destruction. The last 3 chapter's are yet to be fulfilled.
Woods was taught, I'm guessing, at a young age the Futurist dispensational pre trib rapture Eschatology that has so pervaded Christendom for the last two centuries. Many who were taught it have come to a revelation that there is absolutely no Truth to it. Gentry was one of those, so was Bruce Gore. See on U tube Bruce Gore "The Historical Setting of the Book of Revelation " also " The Fall of Jerusalem and the Apocalypse " Blessings!! 🧐🤔

@@TheRdawg16 Andy Woods claims Gentry claims that Daniel 7 is about Nero. But Gentry claims no such thing. Gentry clearly states that he believes the little horn in Dan 7 is referring to Antiochus Epiphanes and the little horn in Dan 8 is referring to Nero.
Woods also says that Gentry claims that the Beast out of the Sea is Nero, but Gentry clearly teaches the Sea Beast is a combo of both the Roman Empire and Nero. Sometimes Scripture is referring to the Empire sometimes it is referring to Nero. Woods is always calling Gentry a Preterist, but Gentry has stated more than once that Full Preterism is a Heresy. Gentry has always claimed that he has a Partial Preterist view of the Book of Revelation. There is a world of difference.
