My Mom's father (who died when she was young) passed along a book from 1951 presenting arguments for the Biblical account of the Flood, and even talking about geological evidence. So this is not new...not at all.
Remember that GOD told Noah to build an ark and gave him the exact dimensions on how to build it. Bible says Noah preached for 120 years; it can be presumed that's how long it took to build the ark. The ark was big...not to accommodate animals, but to accommodate PEOPLE! Sadly none of them came aboard.
