I am so proud of the accomplishments of my son, David, who was recently named supervisor of the Molecular Microbiology Department. He can be seen at the 4:50 mark in the video, standing and wearing a blue checked shirt. I am very impressed with the expertise of everyone at the Cleveland Clinic. WTG, Dave.
It is so amazing, how this video at less than a year that we even have heard of covid, to already have automated machines that test for covid. I mean 8 months for a vaccine and advanced testing so fast. It’s almost unbelievable
You realise this isn’t the only disease that is tested this way? Also the vaccine has been studied and worked on for years, SARS-Cov 2 (COVID-19) is not the only coronavirus. There has been an aim to make a vaccine for SARS for a very long time, but the results, studies and information that had been gathered for over a decade was focused towards COVID-19 as it is causing a global pandemic, along with new information, studies and tests due to how genetically and structurally similar they are.
I currently work at a Research developmental Lab we don't test for Covid-19...But part-time I work at a Hospital at nights and we Test Covid-19 on the Biofire Filmarray PCR instrument...
@@uz41r78 look into what pcr testing really is and who invented it .. it shouldn't be used for diagnostic purposes.. the cycle rate is how many times they amplify what they are looking for, if you amplify it high enough they will find anything in anyone. Question for the so called "experts"...my grandmother just tested positive for the third time in 2 months and has not been sick once...she is being tested before every doctor appointment she has to make sure she isn't positive but the tests keep showing she is...anyone want to explain the "Science" here?...
@@catarinavilar4 Why you do simply assume it’s a “myth”? And without consulting a doctor for confirmation? The virus stays in you for 3 months after initial infection. That is why you can be tested positive and show no symptoms. The virus will take time to discharge from the respiratory system and may not be active. But it is there.
@@tomboyraider1015 it's quite simple actually: viral load. When your viral load is high enough, the body shows symptoms. When the viral load is low, you can't transmit anything to anyone and the body doesn't show symptoms. There's no such thing as asymptomatic transmission. When people went to the doctor thinking they were sick but showed no symptoms, they were called "hypochondriac". Now, it's everybody. I hope it helps, because I really want people to stop being afraid 😊 of you're sick, you quarantine, you can get tested to see wether it's c0vid19 or the flue or wtv, but if you're not sick, you can go live and enjoy your life. Proud dad
God bless your son for the hard work he has done during this pandemic ✨💕
I am also doing this course hope I will help doctors and other people's through my work🤗
Thank you medical techs

It's believable. When you manufacture something and already know it's coming it's easy to know what to expect

@@Bella_bella334 it means that his research job has nothing to do with testing. But he does test for it at his clinical lab job, which is separate. :)
We use a bio fire at my lab too! I love it! So quick and easy😄😄
I love this video so much. These lab people are so iconic and brave. We stan :)

The pcr test should not be used for diagnostics from the inventors mouth
Tom, well done. That was very informative and you nicely highlighted some of the staff who seemed genuinely enthusiastic and sincere. Nice job!
Outstanding!
I Love you laboratory staffs.
This the desired job I ever dream of as a biologist/microbiologist if given chance
What is your amplification cycle? Are the results guaranteed?
Exactly

She's healthy and it's just another false positive. Like thousands if not millions of false positives.
There's no such thing as asymptomatic. That's a total myth and LIE to justify these tyrannical measures by governments.

PCR can show upto 85 days after Covid symptoms have subsided. This is why we are doing LAMP testing now.
Question if the COVID 19 TEST IS FREE why CVS Pharmacies ASKING for INSURANCE CARD ? MAYBE because they gonna charge service Right
Government funding pays for the uninsured to get COVID testing. Insurance pays for COVID testing if you have it.
You must get alot of money for this, buy new glasses, maybe you will see God.
