@@shiekhwaleedmiral-protein2819 That would be incredible. The USAF is also operating a 6th generation fighter jet, but little is known about it. The USAF has stated however that it has broken records.
I have always loved the F-15. When I joined the Air Force the F-4 was the old dog and the Eagle was the wonder. When I retired the Eagle was the old man. So good to see it anew.
Me too, sort of. I was honorably discharged, after four years of service, from the US Air Force just before the F-15 arrived. I used to guard F-4 Phantoms in addition to law enforcement etc. I wish Boeing etc would outwardly angle or cant the vertical tail fins like with the aborted F-15 Silent Eagle for reduced radar cross section and greater range for mission success. And also, the look would be more modern and cool. Oftentimes, what looks cool works best.

This aircraft has stood the test of time extremely well. They have pushed it about as far as they can go with the technology currently available. I think GE makes the new engines for the aircraft. 😉😎👍
The A-6 was drastically underrated, massive payload, fantastic range, and being from Grumman steelworks you can probably over G the aircraft with little worry...
We simply can't produce the f-35 quickly enough. I do believe we're producing around 50 f-35s a year currently and we want like 2,500ish of them and we have to split that 50 between the "A" "B" "C" models that the Air Force, Marine Corps and navy want, and then we have to further splint up those three models into the orders that other countries want.
I have read that they will all be built as two-seaters, but operationally it will be mostly used as a single pilot aircraft. The back seat will stay empty or maybe even have some sort of cowling to cover the rear seat.
There is nothing to think about. The F-15’s RCS and IR signature is huge. It's only relevant in a force mix of F-35As and/or F-22As. Air Force really never asked for it. (My family was deeply involved in F-15E weapons and radar systems integration in the early 1990s.)
The F-15EX is a compliment to the stealth aircrafts not to compete against them. It's a flying missile magazine for the stealth aircrafts flying ahead. And it finishes off the enemy after radars etc are destroyed by stealth aircrafts. It also is an excellent platform to sind off large high mach missiles to distant ground and sea targets as well as payloads into low earth orbit and shooting dowm low orbiting enemy satellites and incoming missiles. It is also an excellent home defense alternative that do not require stealth approaches to intruders. The designers etc would have been wise, in my oppinion, to have angled or outwardly canted the vertical tail fins (just as with the aborted F-15 Silent Eagle). The benefits are a reduced radar cross-section and an increased range for this new F-15EX. Its not too late for such an inexpensive retrofit or modification. It would mean measurable benefits to mission success in future combat to bring American pilots back home alive and well.
Only a few things make me feel overwhelmed with patriotism. This, when it actually flew the very 1st time with Boeing test pilots a few weeks ago...and seeing it flown by actual AF pilots WITH a flag seen in the windscreen (sure there were more all through that cockpit) are in the top 5.

The benefits are a reduced radar cross-section and an increased range for the new F-15EX. Its not too late for such an inexpensive modification, and it doesn't cost much for the benefits to mission success in future combat scenarios. And it would increase the chances of our American fly boys returning home alive and well from donestic and foreign missions. That was the same year my Dad got out of the Navy. The F14 was being rolled out around the same time I believe.
My husband (retired AF) worked on the F-15s between 1998 and 2014. Now he's the lead Boeing FSR for the EX program at Eglin.

An F-35 × F-1SEX tag-team will perform spectacularly, well done.
