There goes the radar advantage. Mechanical stealth is complete at treetop level. Won't hear them coming, won't see them coming, won't even have time to grab your whatever.
Not quite. The B1 bomber was designed with just such an idea in mind, but it was determined that the B1 would only have a 40% mission success rate, and many of the pilots sent out, wouldn't make it home. If I recall correctly, its because once enemy knows you are in the area, they can pepper the skies with anti-air ground fire. Since that time, I'd wager that enemy radar has improved substantially. I'm not sure it would have the same low altitude weakness, and if it did, I'm sure our enemy has counter-strategies in place.
Dunno. I got that information from a book. I believe the report was from the Carter Administration. It was one of the reasons why they chose to pursue stealth technology with the F117 and initiated the program that became the B2. It was also one of the reasons Carter chose to cancel the B1 (Reagan later made restarting the B1 cornerstone campaign promise, however he wasn't read in on the stealth program when he made it). I bring this up for a simple point: Stealth is expensive to design, difficult to mass produce, and expensive to maintain in the field. If avoiding radar and anti-air defenses is as simple as flying low and fast, then there never would have been a reason to build stealth aircraft in the first place. No F117s, B2's or B21 raiders. So, I dont believe the ability to fly lower/faster will help the F15 achieve any level of stealth.
I am very happy to see this aircraft evolve into its next form. Most wars are not fought against 5 gen enemies. So you don't need a stealth fighter you need one that can carry a big stick the beat down the enemy.

Trudeau is out of his depth when it comes to military affairs and hires yes men to apeas his poor judgment. We should be going through with the F35's... F15 Advance would be great. But, believe that Canada is also looking at the Euro Fighter.
F-15X would be the best choice for Canada's needs. Rafale and Eurofighter would be 2nd and 3rd best options, with somewhat lower value. F-35 is about 4th place because while it is a good strike fighter Canada has much greater need for long range patrol and interceptors with low cost and time for maintenance in extreme environments. Most likely adversaries for them are unstealthy long range bombers and strike aircraft which F-15X would be very capable of dealing with. When going to war they are almost certain to be with allies who will have thousands of F-35s and the paltry number Canada could add would not make much difference for strike missions. F-35 is a good aircraft but the wrong fit for Canada's needs.

It has absolutely nothing on the Su-27 or 35. When the Russians can fire a Fox-3 at 12 miles and the range on your fox-3 is 7 miles you have a serious problem. The F-15 has options but puts it on the defensive right away. Not where a pilot wants to be.

ADFX-02: Have you found a reason to fight yet, buddy?
very cool!
McDonnell Douglas F-15. Boeing is reaping the rewards of their engineering. But Boeing is a great company and doing great things. See the eagle flying for many years to come.
Still the only fighter with a flawless victory record. Even the older F-15s would heavily pollute the skies with SU-35, SU-37 & SU-57s shrapnel.
Eh, maybe the older Sukhoi SU-27s, but the SU-35 and SU-37 are pretty solid fighters. Still love the F-15 to death though, one of my top 3 favorite fighter aircraft
The Su-37 was a technology demonstrator, they only made two of them. And one crashed
Did you forgot Su-30SM?
Why is it that the f-15 does not have exhaust vectoring fitted like the f-22 ?
Canada needs new platforms
I thought Canada's strategy for National Security was being nice to everyone.
I don't see it being an F-15, even if it is upgraded.
trudeau is buyng 40 year old f15s from australia lol
Wonder if we're able to put in more like block lll Super Hornet with refueling probe for more coverage in the Pacific Rim from the down under Kiwi boy
Boeing The very best
Scott 250r cough* McDonnell Douglas cough*
@@HAMlLTON eurofighter Hack. Cough sneeze. Euro trash
Scott 250r what are you talking about dude?
The very best cause the bought out the rest.
You forgot the rest of the saying.
@@PugilistCactus wrong. They do buy what they want Becouse they can afford it. And why? Cause they sell more aircraft than anyone. And why? Becouse they are the best That's why.
Sees f15 with red bits on it: YO BUDDY, STILL ALIVE? THATS WHAT V2 IS FOR!, TIME TO DIVE INTO THE FIREWORKS!
Higher. Futher. Faster.
Thanks Boeing to keep this legends dominate the Skies a bit longer
Cool!
1:01 favorite part this is a real dream I really want to be a F-15 pilot
Aussie here. Can we please have these instead of the F-35? You don't even have to bribed our government like Lockheed did...
From what I have read is that your pilots are quite impressed with the F-35. I’ve heard that they like the Superhornet too,
You have any articles to share about being bribed? Sounds like BS to me. Bribery is not commonplace like what you often see in places like India.
The thumbnail has the orange markings of the old 1970s prototypes. Is it perhaps the YF-15B bird that demonstrated use of the early FAST pack conformal fuel tanks?
Or did Boeing paint one of the advanced Eagles in the old '70s scheme? (But it doesn't actually show up anywhere else in this video.)
I love F-15!! It's better than SU-35
@ F-35B
Both are beautiful planes! But the SU 35 is more technologically advanced - so in a confrontation it is the SU 35 that is more likely to win.
It has absolutely nothing on the Su-27 or 35. When the Russians can fire a Fox-3 at 12 miles and the range on your fox-3 is 7 miles you have a serious problem. The F-15 has options but puts it on the defensive right away. Not where a pilot wants to be.
@@Mathin3D BS. The Su-35's avionics pale in comparison. The F-15X would surely have 4th gen AESA, while the Su-35 still has PESA. At BVR the F-15 would have the advantage, and at WVR it would come down to pilot skill.
@@adamlannerd1408 Sure it does, especially at BVR, and most likely will have 4th gen AESA. The Aim-9x range is 22 mi so I don't know how you're claiming an IR lock is only at 7.
@@adamlannerd1408 Russian aircraft, hahahahahahahahaha
This is the real deal of battle proven jet fighter in the world with never lose score.
