Of course candidates is the top tournament so I was really excited to watch that. I got a little bit of a sense that tata steel was a big deal as well (maybe second most important after candidates?). But I think this is something a lot of viewers would like to know about. Kind of like in tennis... There are 4 tournaments a year that everyone recognizes as the "majors". even i chose to play queen to h7, because knight had to capture the queen and then white bishop captures the knight, and king forced to h8, now the f file is open and white rook captures the black rook on f8, and thats it, game over

Most GM's play safe chess and doesnt take too many chances and settles for a draw.. But players like Adhiban, Dubov, Nepo play very tricky lines, however unknown territory they may be and never afraid to take risks.. Thats why they some time lose some games, however their games are always exciting to watch

@0:54 the white can easily kill Bishop after that pawn move. Not sure why he did not do

Thanks for all your insights into the games.
If I may be so bold, I'd use the thumbnail for the first or last 'stop the game moment'.

Hi Antonio, I was wondering if you could find a game featuring the Latvian gambit. Would love to see Stockfish play the Latvian gambit

I didnt see QH7+, I actually saw BishopH7+, King goes to H8, then bishop C2+, the KG8, and only then QH7+, Knight takes queen, Bishop takes Knight+, King goes to H8, Then RFxF8+, The black queen goes to G8, and the RxG8#. Which now I realize was a totally innecesarially long line. XD
