    “The most effective attitude to adopt is one of supreme acceptance. The world is full of people with different characters and temperaments. We all have a dark side, a tendency to manipulate, and aggressive desires. The most dangerous types are those who repress their desires or deny the existence of them, often acting them out in the most underhanded ways. Some people have dark qualities that are especially pronounced. You cannot change such people at their core, but must merely avoid becoming their victim. You are an observer of the human comedy, and by being as tolerant as possible, you gain a much greater ability to understand people and to influence their behavior when necessary”
    ― Robert Greene, Mastery

      *Cabra Goon, I recently discovered Robert and have watched a few of his interviews. Based upon what I have heard him say, . . . it seems to me, . . . he is either ignorant of the spiritual realm, and the reality of the effects of spirits upon our lives, or . . . he is cognizant of same, yet being deceptive.*
      *Because he seems to be sincere in his beliefs, I believe he is simply ignorant regarding the spiritual realm. He could learn much, by searching You Tube for **_Secrets of the Demonic Realm - Power of Christ Jesus!_** He would also greatly benefit from going to the website referenced in the description of the videos.*

As an adult i Received a Criminal Justice undergrad degree and now a master's degree in counseling psychology. I'm still learning. I strive to learn daily and listen to self help RUclips videos to keep myself up to date and to remind / refresh my mind on everything that I may already know; however continue towards self-improvement. It's an ongoing journey. The natural human brain tends to use its lizard brain if we don't stay conscious and aware of our emotions. Keep them in check. Treat yourself kindly and be patient and strive towards a better you. Good luck everyone.

    A great video. We're a great network of individuals, when one individual takes action they influence those around them, but likewise when another individual takes action, they too are influenced. Think of it like drops falling into water, one drop causes a ripple effect that impacts the water surrounding it, but when multiple droplets fall, multiple ripple effects are created.

      Ridiculous to think that "how well they accept everyone" is a good criterion for hiring. The key to is hire people who understand themselves and others well, not who accept people indiscriminately and who 'smile genuinely.' Such smile is either the fruit of naivete (if not dumbness) or the result of phoniness. You want intelligent, competent, wise people - not dumb social animals.

    Yes Robert is right on on the fact that too many leaders understand the functional side of their leadership role, but do not know how to understand the behavior nature of the people they lead. This often is because in the advice they were given by their family environment, people relations are not really taught. It is severely mistaken that they will just learn this naturally thru life experiences.
    As Robert has said in many of his writings, a big part of people relations is for leaders and all of us, to learn to be more humble and truly learn how to listen to the people they work with. This often means crossing a cultural bridge to learn on how other people grew up and how they have come to have such vast variety of differences of opinions.

    Wow. I have read many of Robert Greene's books ( currently own several ) and I never imagined at all that he was actually a compassionate person. I just wrongly assumed he was just another conquest minded psychopath. I was severely mistaken..

    • @JohnDoe-jt9oq
      @JohnDoe-jt9oq 5 лет назад +1

      You obviously didn't learn much from his books then, in 3 of his books: The 48 laws of power and the 33 Strategies of war and the art of seduction, he tells you not to trust outside appearances/words and to judge people by their behaviors. Sure, his words are warm and fuzzy, but his behaviors show him promoting a book. What other good things have you personally seen him do? This same concept goes for all of the various politicians that people vote in because they say all the right things, but then come to regret their votes. See? Robert was right, you're irrational and you let your emotions get the best of you.

    • @terrythompson7535
      @terrythompson7535 5 лет назад

      @@JohnDoe-jt9oq Well, psychopaths are entirely rational and are responsible for over 50% of violent crime. Good personal relationships (emotions) between people are the only thing that make civilization possible. Without emotions to bond everyone together, it would just be conflict everywhere all the time. Also, just because I was mistaken about judging a person doesn't mean that I was manipulated. Of course none of us know the strangers personally that we see and hear from afar, and therefore anyone can be mistaken about anyone. It doesn't indicate that they "let their emotions get the best of them". I can only wonder if you're trying to manipulate me, right now.

    • @terrythompson7535
      @terrythompson7535 5 лет назад

      @@JohnDoe-jt9oq Also, I should point out that it is foolish for you to jump to the conclusion that I didn't learn much from his books. That's not possible for you to know from the data you could have possibly gathered from a single "RUclips" comment. That comment itself is irrational.

    If I had 3 wishes people skills would be #1 on the list. IQ and perfect health. You wont have to wish for a 4th because youll be able to gain everything else. You dont want to be given wealth and success. You want to earn it. Youll build strong trust worthy circles while doing so. Everyone will know who you are and you will feel fulfilled. Accomplished. Youll belong. Everyone will have a connection with you through the trails by fire. And if youre smart then itll be pretty easy..just takes time. You dont wanna rush through life. You want to enjoy all the little things. All the variables that are the building blocks. The corner stones of the life you have and share with the people around you.

    It's the system we live in, getting things done, employment/ businesses tasks, it has to do with so called stress, unfortunate coincidences and the amount of time and money it actually takes to do things, frustration, under estimation that keep us from our humanism, I think we become more human as we age and become wise, humanism has to do with empathy understanding and helping, nothing to do with money

      Well stated. Question: if what you propose is achievable, then stress is of our own making and has no basis in fact. A “god”...if you will.

Do you see a benefit in being human???? Please tell me....Thats what people always say they love animals more than Humans!! we should just stay animals

    Some of what Robert Greene beats here contradicts what he says in The 48 Laws of Power.Here Robert Greene says to accept people and to deal with them as individuals.In the 48 laws of power Robert Greene says "Avoid the unhappy and the unlucky."

    • @AbsoluteMotivation
      @AbsoluteMotivation  3 года назад

      Interesting point. I don’t think in the 48 laws he himself is saying you should avoid the happy and unlucky but he is relaying one of the laws in history that became the chapter. What he may think may be different which is why it can come across as a contradiction.

    Some people can manage their emotions, be self-aware and use logic and critical thinking. Narcissists are the ones who can't do that. It's not a natural animal instinct. That's a personality disorder. Not everyone thinks about getting more attention than others and comparing to others. These are all narcissist traits. And yes, it is constant for them. This is a super common disorder though, so I can see why he'd think it was everyone. Narcissists also can't understand the difference between themselves and others so makes sense he'd describe it as "viral emotions" as dangerous. People with boundaries have empathy for other's feelings and can separate their own feelings, so they aren't drained by someone else's feelings. Narcissists also have weak emotional intelligence. Compulsions are not normal either. Perfectionism is a narcissist trait also. Not everyone is that way. Not everyone is a "mystery to themselves" that is also a narc trait. They have no sense of self. And a victim complex also. Over-sensitivity. Self-absorption/obsession. And much more. I have some videos on it. They are emotionally stunted at a child's age (which is one reason they can't handle their own emotions). That is all projection to assume everyone has the same disorder. People are mostly narcissists, but there are also a small number of sociopaths, borderline, some healthy people, mentally ill people, etc. All these brains are super different!
