I almost died in a hotel pool at 10. I took swimming lessons 3 times in the ensuring decades without success. I always wanted to conquer fear of drowning but had no good access to a pool for decades. In the mean time I watched a lot of swim lessons on vhs (effortless swimming) and later on RUclips. When I moved to my retirement home in 2021 I finally had convenient pool access (no one uses it). I started to teach myself how to swim since July 2022. I’d go almost everyday. It was really hard and frustrating but I never thought to give up. Now I can swim front crawl and breaststroke well while building endurance. I have a good deal of respect for water, will never not be careful in it. In the mean time I am making friends with water everyday.
I don’t ever tell myself never. It all depends on if I want to do it or not. Once I have decided, I would know everything about it to ensure safety and success. I have done this quite a few times in my life. Doesn’t matter how small, every try is building confidence.

if you've noticed. robert greene is one of the nicest interviewees. and one of the smartest. he asks interviewers outright about an experience of theirs. even though it's hes the interviewee. he also goes to note subtle things the interviewer does and compliments them. theres a lot to learn just from the way he conducts himself.

I agree with this 💯. Absolutely love Robert Greene's insight. It resonates with me so much. When you're present in the moment you can learn so much about a person without them even saying a word. Facial expressions and body language say so much about what someone is feeling on a broad emotional spectrum. It's intriguing. In the times when you do communicate with someone else it's so important to ask open ended questions, the 5 W's and then listen and wait for a response before you say something else you can learn so much. 💛 Such a great video.

Robert Greene might be my spirit animal. So I’ve bought the books. Physically and on audible and have not started them. I’m actually very tuned into Robert speaking with video it crosses the adhd barrier more for me. I can naturally do all of this and movies are my best friends. One problem how do I stop myself from being or becoming a dark empath? I’m going to take a stab in the dark at that question and say: by just choosing not to be an asshole. 😂. I think an empath is just that there are no sub levels of bad or good unless you allow those to form but also if you choose to clip parts of those branches off. I’d give anything for anyone of you to plead pitch in on this. Usually this is just a dark hole for my thoughts to be thrown into.

What every male misunderstands is : every person has human rights …..getting married it not a license for the male to trample on the female individual and human RIGHTS . Everyone is born FREE and EQUEL !

What about the female who tramples on every male ? How about people realize we walked around with a picture in our heads of what marriage looks like and talking about that picture before getting married and finding out the limits of what we each bring into the marriage so we have a clue of the work that a good marriage actually is. Good marriages rarely just happen.
