Just one of the best, most patient, most clear lessons for any song I’ve ever seen! I love the Doors and honor all of them but honestly, this lesson is better than Robbie Krieger’s own video tutorial for this track! Thank you so much for not only providing this lesson but thoroughly explaining the blues pedigree of the song and it’s structure!
God damn dude I watched literally every minute of this. Had to suffer through a few useless videos of old dudes playing super technical riffs with no explanation of what they were doing then simply move on to the next riff. you counted every single measure holy shit you the best dude! I can finally play this song!! thanks a million! gonna rip it out at the next gig :)
@@JakeAndrewsMusic You are most welcome!!!! Years ago. - I went to Jim’s gave in Paris. Actually been there twice. I’ve seen Robby Kriger in concert back in 2016.
I have been trying to get the intro to this song right FOR MONTHS. I just couldn’t hit the rhythm and muting on the low E and no one else explains it as clear as you! Thank you sir because I can finally get this song out of my head!
R. Krieger don't play this song like that. He's muting the low E with his right hand not with the left. And he's playing with his finger, not médiator. Go to the Doors page, he's explain that.
Thanks for that Jake it was a very thorough and intense lesson I enjoyed it very much and look forward to going through all the steps and process when I return from my work Cheers 🏴
I gave you a thumbs up because this sounds great. Robbie did a lesson himself on this during the pandemic and shows the E7 chord at the seventh fret, sliding up from the 6th fret for the second verse. all the same, well done.
Hi Jake! Once again, million thanks for this superb lesson! Simple riffs and licks but so hard to play consistently for the eternal early intermediate player that I am. It took me ages just to get the first riff with the right hand muting. Playing the first measures without the support of the drum shuffle was so difficult to achieve (and I'm still not sure I can do it every time). The solo is also so challenging but it's actually a rhythm exercise! Thank you very much for insisting on playing rhythm, Jake! What a great advice! Best wishes for 2022 and please keep posting your lessons!
Grandiosa interpretación y enseñanza. Gracias por su apoyo para quienes queremos aprender ya que la música es lo más ❤ e importante para invertir la vida en cosas positivas.
Hi ya, I just subbed your channel here. Thanks for the great lesson man, every video out there gives you the main riff everyone already knows and called it a day LOL! Thanks again for your work! 🤟
Jake, I have studied your technique in this vid for many, many months - but I also lurve (American English) your Austin Vintage Guitars t-shirt - how can l get one like that? Do I have to visit Austin? Or do you have a website where I can order one? ciao! Ben from England
Hi Ben! Thanks for the support. Austin Vintage Guitars is a premier vintage store here in Austin...they sell t-shirts on their website: www.austinvintageguitars.com/store#!/AVG-T-Shirt-Moto/p/145499311
You mean how did they get the name the doors? They were named after the book The doors of perception the author's name is Huxley check it out it's about heaven meeting hell or something

I think Robbie has a lot to worry about. Loved it when it first came out and still love it now. Great cover. Is there any more to come?.🤟🏻
Thanks so much!
Thank you

Many thanks Roger!
Great job and I like the room sound you get. If you teach requests, please do Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well Pt 1.
Thanks so much Steve, Great suggestion!

Thanks Martin!
Lonnie mack wasn’t working for electra. He had quit music and was selling binles on the street when he was invited to come in and play on the track
Very cool, I didn't realize that. Thanks!
Can you do pride and joy lesson
He walks the walk.
Great lesson but amp are you using? I play a strat as well and don't have that sound, I am using also a fender blues amp
A 1960 Strat into a 1959 Fender tweed Princeton...hard to reproduce that tone! Thanks for watching my friend.
Why they were THE Doors.
You mean how did they get the name the doors? They were named after the book The doors of perception the author's name is Huxley check it out it's about heaven meeting hell or something
i think the second link on the solo is 11 times,,
Thanks Paul!
Is this tabed anywhere?
This is my take on the original. I'm sure you could find some tabbed version online though. Thanks Dale!
He's playing Stevie Ray Vaughan instead of the doors part. Lol.
Haha!
Der kann das.
you play deferent solo with backing track,,,,
You remind me of Glen Campbell…..
Haven't heard that one before! Thanks:)
