    what mic are you using on the snare to get a body like that? Also I love the d-sub.

      Beyer-Dynamic M201 and Slate ML-2. The M201 runs through a BAE 73MPL and 73EQL. Taking out some 500Hz, boosting some 8Khz (shelf) and 110Hz. The ML-2 is set to emulate a Vintage SM57 (Unidyne) and the VMR set to API preamp and EQ. Tight gate and heavy compression on the ML-2 and blended in to add punch. Bottom mic is a Beta 57 into a CAPI VP28 with no EQ.

    What settings did you have on the se kick mic? Modern modern?

    • @DennisLeeflang
      @DennisLeeflang  Год назад

      Modern/Classic. But it runs through a CAPI VP28, DBX 160XT and a Garash G.Ten (API 560) where I shape it a bit more. Very subtle compression and EQ but the circuitry alone adds a lot of flavor and punch.
