I will say it’s Wonderful music brother however we must not forget that our ancestors were the ones who sold us to the Europeans and Arabs. Even tho I can still appreciate the music here I will always be a proud Jamaican ,
You can recognize the drums and rhythm in other countries around the world, but especially in Bahia and Pernambuco, and now it's part of our DNA as well. Love from Brazil ❤️
Absolutely awesome. I love the fast driving tribal drums. And I loved the integration of the "modern" drum sets like the timbales, maracas and congas (I've never been able to find traditional African drums in my local music stores, but of course timbales, maracas and congas are super easy to find in stores nowadays).
Most likely you can find them online such as the djembe drum the most popular West African drum played in most West African countries The guys on the outside are playing the djembe drums. Note there are hundreds types of drums in africa..
Nice work.on the djembes Jahvin and Daniel, Bass player is a hell of THUMPER too and of course the congas and timbales created that diasporic fusion that I love and appreciate.soooo much....nice arrangement and execution....makes me feel to pull my djembe out of my bag again fellas, NICE VYBZE. Blessings to each and everyone of u
Liked it, tried to anlyze it aka find a structure and learn something from it - can't do. Hats off, this is really great. Had a laugh when i detected the giant tire in the pond in the background. =) Is there some sense in it being there?
Wow! From this video I can really see where western drum lines took influence from this music. It’s incredibly technical, and they play it super clean with great dynamics. It also has more soul and a better feel than the western drum lines. So impressive! And I love to see the musicians smiling and enjoying themselves
What western drum lines are you speaking of? I hope you are not speaking of Americans, and ESPECIALLY BLACK Americans because we don't take from anyone. All other groups take from us. And SOUL is a black American invention. No group on the planet has more soul than black Americans. We created the concept and we are the best at it. Stay in your place. I'm tired of people taking from us and then rewriting history.
Now this is a REAL “AFRICAN” drum circle… NOT all the other CULTURAL APPROPRIATIONS that you see with ✋🏻🤚🏻and most of them play like they’re one step from the grave .. .. OUT IF SINC! And the SADDEST part about so-call Professional African drummers from most African countries, they ALWAYS have/allow several ✋🏻🤚🏻in their drum circle when they should not be allowed as drummers only as SPECTATORS.. if that. We NEED to learn how to CELEBRATE our ANCESTORS and culture without having them✋🏻🤚🏻involved or in our ENERGY EXCHANGE with one another, they are there to vamp as much of our energy as WE allow them to appropriate…STOP IT!
Take us out of Africa, but you can't take Africa out of us❤✌️ from St Croix V I
