Mike
I used this great chart by The Drum Ninja: thedrumninja.com/downloads/whiskey-in-the-jar-thin-lizzy-drum-transcription.pdf (watch out - this chart is for the radio edit. You need to extend the guitar solo and the song's ending as per the cheat sheet to use it with the full version).

"Great Stuff, " Brian Downey" Lizzy drummer, "One of the best, he can play "Any style, just listen to any album, very tasteful player, Another great lesson, loved it.
I thought my snare was low. His is even lower and further away. At the start of drumming we are told to place the snare between pelvic and navel. This does not work for me at all. This is way too high for me. I end up pulling my shoulders up so my elbow is above the snare rim. This kills. So i have my snare low between my legs like mike here. Its just high enough to stop me from constantly hitting the rim by accident. Do with your kit whatever feels good, comfortable and somewhat ergonomic. Dont listen to people that state you have to place this thing here and that thing there if it does not work for you. You will know if it works or not.
Brilliant! The Metallica cover is the only song of Metallica's I can stomach listening to! :)
Harsh!
I didnt know Thin Lizzy did this song?! Cool 😎 nice job man
Thanks for the education too 😄
Brian Downey is an incredible drummer with a world of feel in his playing which is very hard to replicate, he was an absolute key part of the swing in Lizzy's songs, a very quiet humble but seriously talented individual. Great job Mike 👍
