Scream should've been on the album. It should've taken the place of Welcome on the album. Welcome has a cool solo, but the rest of the song just screams filler and it's one of the few Slipknot songs that I don't care for. Don't Get Close is right where it belongs as a bonus track, but Scream is a great song.

I don’t know what heads or cabs they used but I love that the guitars have some punch to them. Also I like how that punchiness never gets lost in the mix and you can hear each and every note even the higher notes they are crisp.
I have to be honest, I don't think I love this song as much as the other maggots, but I do think this would be a fun one to do live. I wish they would play more Vol. 3 deeps cuts live in general. Because Vol. 3's singles are so big, that's the only representation this album gets in a live show: Duality, Before I Forget, Vermilion. And there's no way they're not going to play those songs, they're staples. The new setlist they just debuted is really killer, one of the best they've ever had, but what I wouldn't give to see The Blister Exists or The Nameless live again
I think song is ultimately about not giving into addiction..interesting fact about this album other than it being their most experimental is it’s their first and so far only album that has no cursing. It also happens to be my favorite. Great channel!
After religiously absorbing the first two albums, came this. To this day I call it Vol 3. The subliminal shiitake mushroom. The songs are not bad, I even like a few, but the change in style was something that my teenage self did not take well. Scream is definitely a good one.
There’s a third and final song on this album called Scream which is the bonus song. I would be sad if you didn’t put that on the next poll for Vol. 3 it’s one of my all time favorites. I know it will definitely raise an eyebrow or two with you.

Probably a super unpopular opinion, but Vol 3 is my least favourite Slipknot album by quite some distance... Couple of decent songs on there but the overall sound of the album doesn't do it for me. I think im still hanging on to alot of the disappointment I felt when this album was released after Iowa..
That makes a lot of sense. I think for me, I don't have the same perspectives on the albums since it's all new to me. But just thinking about some other bands and their progression, I can totally see that.

I love Maggot Mondays. Oh and speaking of Paul, he recently would have turned 50.
Jim and Mick definitely went god mode on vol.3. 4 years after IOWA of just getting better on guitar. They pulled it off in amazing fashion though.
