Thank you doctor for helping me understand more about my previously undiagnosed thyroid issues. I went to the ER a year ago with what felt like a heat stroke. I was hot. My heart was pounding so much it hurt in my chest. I was stressed out. The major painful symptom that tipped me towards going to the ER was rolling cramps in my rib area muscles. The ER never gave me a diagnosis, but a nurse told me my white blood cell count was high. They gave me an antibiotic prescription for a possible urinary tract infection. Now, a year later, I have an appointment with an ENT surgeon for thyroid removal.
I had a thyroid storm last night...self diagnosed, live over an hour from a hospital and the roads were icy so I rode it out. Vomiting, diarrhea, increased heat intolerance, anxiety attack, and delirium. I even had the anxiety/ breathing issues this morning after other symptoms subsided. I thought my heart was gonna jump out. Breathing deeply saved me.
I have hyperthyroidism and yes people even me at my calmest mood get nausous so don't think you know until you KNOW what its like and i might be going through a thyroid storm i gotta see my endo today...hope i dont :(

Most people with hyperthyroid actually don't have nausea/vomiting and if they do it probably to do with the anxiety.
