I had a thyroid storm a month ago because I went off my meds cause I did not think I needed it.
My body went into VIOLENT THROWING UP!!! MY HEART WAS RACING and the constant throwing up was I knew I was in serious trouble.
I had no clue what was going on cause I had been fine for weeks.
I felt DEATH near cause my body was totally out of control
I called a friend and she told me not to go to bed but sit up in a chair to come my heart down...
    Very scary shit...
    Back on my meds faithfully!!

"Killing to the point of death" 😂
    You are adorable!!
I'm a patient. It's been 9 years since I had a 3rd degree block from thyroid storm. It's no joke, the worst I've ever felt in my life. Stress induced ... yup ... looking back, it was a year long CPTSD episode. Flare-up now. My nurses were wonderful, beautiful angels. Thank you for explaining these things. It was incredulous how little the doctors explained. Bless you.

Just got home from an ER admit and spent 2 days in hosp for going into a thyroid storm. Already dx w/Graves for many years. It wasn't a super critical scenario but it was enough to scare me. I was discharged w/o learning much other than what I learn online (unfortunately). Thank you for the help understanding.

Yes, I will definitely be hitting on OB in the future. Next, I'm going through heart disorders (due to multiple requests) and then I plan on doing a series on OB and Peds. Hopefully, I can have it done before you take NCLEX? God bless as well :)

I just heard a lady say that she suffered from a thyroid storm and that it can lead to thyroid cancer. But she said right now she is in remission? Did she misunderstand her doctor or is she lying?

Thank you so much, Erin! I appreciate you taking the time to watch many of my videos :) I will definitely be covering reproductive disorders in the future. I will be covering heart disorders next (per viewer request) after I wrap up the thyroid series. What type of disorders are you interested in learning about (this will help me out with video topics)? Thank you for your feedback :)
