I used size 6 hook and quite chunky multicoloured yarn. The hat did fan out just a bit but it wasn't much of an issue. I didn't count rows much but decided to only go off of the length and that worked surprisingly well! Could have added a little more loops to the band on the bottom - I forgot that my crocheting can be on the tighter side for that stitch

Just finished mine and I LOVE IT😍😍 It’s definitely a yarn eater but the result of that is a nice, warm, and thick beanie for the colder days to come. Thank u so much for sharing the video and ur expertise with us❤❤❤❤
Thank you for great instructions! I used multicolour yarn and the pattern looks really great, but it's definitely a yarn eater. I used up 100g of non-stretchy cotton/acryl blend (3mm and 4mm hook). I had the same problem as a previous commenter - the hat started fanning out, becoming wider with each row. After decreasing it has a bit of a round shape, which works for me because I can put my long hair inside. But if you want a tighter fit, maybe don't change hook size or decrease the number of stitches in the first row of sc?
Hi, Thank you for this beautiful tutorial! It is easy to follow up I noticed on my 3rd row of fans, my hat is fanning out and getting wider. Any suggestions on how to keep it straight like yours? Much Thanks!
I just made the Bavarian crochet pattern for winter hat/cap When I reached the fifth rows, bottom just four bpdcs, not three bpdcs? I saw you did crocheted three dcs on top to be decreased on the video. Want to make sure whether if I did right way or not I’d appreciated it very much Thank you! 🙂👍
Beautiful hat ❤ Did you create this pattern? It looks a bit challenging but your instructions were so clear l feel confident to try it. Thank you for sharing with us. I am excited to keep learning from you😊
Can you tell me the number you work in for each row? Not the total, but if I wanted to add another fan stitch to the hat, how many extra stitches would that be, I’m thinking 5, but wasn’t sure. Thanks.
Finished mine today) it was slightly taller so I even can fold the ribbed band and it looks sooooo good!
Thank you!

All your hat's are beautiful but they are all child sizes could you tell me the height for a woman's hat before decrease
Thanks for saving me waste my time.
I just measured my head for the width and kind of estimated the height, if the height wasn't right I added more rows.
Love this pattern. I'm going to try it.
Wish I saw this comment first 🤣🙈. @@SandraJane-bd8im

Very good teacher
It is pretty can you tel me for what. Age is this hat any one that made the hat ❤️
What is the reason for single crocheting under both stitches at the beginning and end while making the band?

I made this hat with Bavarian stitch that's a famous and old stitch. I didn't create that stitch myself. I'm so glad you liked this tutorial 😍😍

Hi 👋for each fan stitch you need 6 stitches and if you wanna make extra fan stitch, you should add 6 stitches.
Qué bonito!! Por favor escribir lo que ocupas y lo que vas haciendo
Please do this one more beginner friendly meaning doing all of the hat on the video pls
