Thank you for such an informative video! I just found you through a post in one of the Facebook groups I belong to. I will be checking out your blog, as well! I am really loving your channel ❤ SUBSCRIBED!
Since I have issues with my wrist it hurts really bad to roll out the dough so I’ve been using my pasta roller instead. The recipe I use it pretty close to yours and it’s delicious 🤤 and it’s very easy to use different seasonings and always turns out yummy!! Thank you 😊
I've tried two other sourdough cracker recipes and they were okay but I wasn't super impressed with them. Yours look better and I was just telling my husband that Doris was filling up her container and I need to find something to do with her. (Doris is my discard, Steve is my active starter.) This will be the perfect recipe to try.
Discard??? Too much "optimisation" (Doing something as well as possible that doesn't need to be done at all) You are just using starter to make something other than bread. You feed the starter, leave it at room temp for 6-8 hours so the yeast can eat. Then make something with it or put it in the fridge. Use it directly from the fridge to make whatever and feed it when it gets low. Bubbles in the dough says the yeast is eating. Plus, use a table knife to mix the dough. It mixes ok and cleans up quickly.
@@maryjurisons4648 BS. You start out assuming that the starter won’t activate unless you’re discarding some. That is incorrect. You can make what you want with starter. Why assume that some of it has to be wasted? Very “modern America”!

Glad I found you! Love this! Commenting so more people find your channel!
These crackers look amazing!
The yeast that you’re adding , is it the same as fast acting yeast, like Fleischmans?
Can I use baking powder to substitute nutrition yeast as i don’t have on hand?
If yes how much teaspoons of baking powder I should use ?. Thanks
Will it be okay to add shredded cheddar cheese to this recipe? If so, how much will work?
What if I don't have nutritional yeast!
It would be better to mill the Einkorn fresh. You loose vitamins and minerals when you buy processed flour, as they remove the bran and germ.

Just don’t discard starter. It’s NEVER necessary.
Some people make the choice to bake with what is removed. That is their decision.
