Please make a virtual tip jar or ko-fi for the choir thing. Have the community contribute to the choir, a charity or whatever floats the choir’s boat :) I hope the concert will be saved on youtube for later viewing because of time zones. Looking forward to your next episode!
Another great podcast! Happy Belated Birthday - great video clips. I love watching you both and I always look forward to these so much! I will definitely watch your concert - can't wait!!
Best comment: "we trafficked Betty Ann"...glad you two are well. My favorite ornaments are crocheted snowflakes. If I were going to knit any, I'd love to try Arne & Carlos' Christmas balls.
so glad to see you boys back, missed the fun! looks like a lovely vacation and time to see the new baby, im sure Betty Ann is loving it, Grandma time is a joy! Christmas ornaments, hatvent by Jodi Brown, wee sweaters too, those i've made for my GDs' room trees, they are a fun way to sue up scraps especially sock yarn! looking forward to seeing you two more often, stay well! ♥
This is probably silly but hearing the vacation things you guys had such fun doing together makes me hope I find the Scott to my John some day!!! :) so nice to see you guys again!
I've missed you both loads. Back in the dark ages, I lived in Anoka, Anoka County. Loved living there, miss it, the people and all the Winter fun. We did so much. New life in Southeastern Iowa, still knitting loads more, less travel (ended up working on vacation trips so put a stop to it). I'm thrilled you're back, safe, crazy fun, and look to be happy and well.
How about an "F Bomb" 2020 ornament? You'd get some comments for sure. I'm sure you know people who would appreciate them. Missed you two and really look forward to weekly podcasts. Love the Hocus Pocus socks and that cowel looked surprisingly wonderful. I kept thinking a skirt for a 3 y/o. haha
Happy birthday John :) Scott, you have a new convert to the 9" circular sock club/cult. Why did I stick with magic loop for so long? Tiny needles are awesome!
Love spending time with you fellas - you have a real connection and your comfort and ease with each other really comes across. I like how you support each other and are forgiving if someone messes up or gives up on a project, rather than being competitive like some other couples we won't mention..it's just fun and easy watching you two lovebirds.. That intarsia Kal made me chuckle - it was doomed from the start - who does that anyway?..so complicated and the result is pretty damn ugly lets face it
Hey guys I missed you both! I’m glad you gave us that science lesson, I only knew 0 degrees Celsius was freezing here in Ontario but I didn’t know it in Fahrenheit so that was great! So close to Canada omg, which province was that, I guess I could look on a map and see lol. Gorgeous photos and videos. Only watched a few minutes so far but was excited to comment so I’ll come back and edit and add to this as the video goes ;) Omg that fox is beautiful! Such a precious reason too. Thank you for doing those links, it is helpful! I always put the names on the screen and try to link also, it makes it so much easier, I greatly appreciate all that work!!
Tannins & Toothpaste.....should be a knitting podcast LOL! Hella jelly of your trip! I've been out twice this year...both were yarn haul/lunch with friends expeditions...next best thing to where you got to go looks like!
Really looking forward to the Christmas choir concert! Will you send out a link to us subscribers? Hmm, I'm in Sweden, so I might watch it later due to the time difference. Btw: I've never managed to get a glass of wine last for that long...😂
Hi guys! Sounds like you had an amazing time! I've GOT to see that concert!! I think I have one more thing to finish for Xmas!! YAY!! Missed you guys, but since you were out and about, that's ok. 😉
Definitely cannot wait to at h your Christmas program! Scott your socks 1. How did you join the minis together? 2. How much of the minis do you have left over? They look so good I’m going to do that with mine!
Welcome back! I managed to catch up on all your back episodes while y'all were off galavanting around the midwest. Arne & Carlos are doing a Christmas ball knit along/advent calendar. They released 24 new patterns to complement their "55 Christmas Balls to Knit" book from 10 years ago. So if you fancy a colorwork ornament gift theme, I'd love to see your progress on the show.
Great to see you both again - John, Happy belated birthday! You don’t look a day over 32! Love the cowl with draw string and the Halloween Trilogy yarn socks! Love the new addition to the checklist for Angela... does she die and how?
Just discovered podcast Piece 4 peace You might like it I was so glad to get notification that you are back. You are sincerely missed when you leave us for a while without your company.
The socks look fantastic! I have started a pair on 9" circulars and found that doing 2 at a time on separate needles is a lot easier then one at a time, my guage is a bit more even and its been going faster. The concert sounds like it would be fun to watch! especially now that everything is a lot more limited... Oh, and I have watched a few movies along with the podcast, it's been fun! (when I could get them on Cad prime and RUclips. But I did buy the Sweeney Todd show from amazon lol).
There will be a RUclips link but we don't have it, yet. We will put it in the description of a future episode once the link has been created. Thanks so much for the question!
This year I'll be doing the Dumpster Fire (www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dumpster-fire-2020) from a kit from Leading Men Fiber Arts, plus some of Arne and Carlos's new ones.
Check out the app Kanopy. It's older movies you can stream through your library. You can stream it on your tv. I've missed you guys on our virtual knit night!
Oohhh looking forward to the concert, thanks for the info! What channel will it be on? Socks are beautiful! Love the Halloween advent! Great episode guys! ETA: y’all said all babies are cute. My mother’s college roommate said all babies look like frogs, when Ruby had her first baby she wrote my mom telling how precious and sweet he was, her last comment about her son was that he looks like a frog. LOL.
Best quote, "We'll see if we have to take a break & do, like, shots." Dumpster Fire ornament all the way, make at least one! I predict that you'll both have sox off the needles.
Hi Guys, I have to jump in with my bit of Mia Farrow recollection. Her mother was Maureen O'Sullivan a movie star in her own right. Mia Farrow first starred in Peyton Place a prime time TV soap opera; she became quite famous back in the day for this role. She married Frank Sinatra, not sure how long that marriage lasted. She was in a lot of Woody Allen movies and they had one biological son together, Ronan Farrow, who it is rumoured is Frank Sinatra's son, but who knows and really does it matter?? I love Agatha Christie novels, there's always an interesting twist to the plot. What service are you watching the old Angela Lansbury movies on?
Great episode! I have watched along with the Angela Lansbury when I can. Your reference to Olivia Hussey/ Romeo and Juliet brought back a very old memory. I was a freshman in high school and my English teacher took our class on a field trip to a movie theater to watch the movie. There were quite a few gasps and giggles when Olivia’s bare breast appeared on the big screen in 1968.
I'm participating in Arne and Carlos's December KAL of their 24 new Christmas Balls. I think it was their last RUclips post on Sit and Knit with Arne and Carlos.
Have y’all listened to the podcast called You Must Remember This? I think you’d love it. It’s about first 100 years old Hollywood. It’s well researched, produced, & narrated. And yes, it’s an actual podcast - audio only. 😆
I was watching Arne and Carlos, they add a Merino "thread" to the heel of a sock Arne was repairing. Maybe you'll like it better than the nylon thread (yuck!).
I just discovered you lovely people, I'm not going to compare you with no one. I haven't seen your video yet. I'm going to subscribe to you. I will wait till the night to enjoy the video I am leaving my like in advance 😘 and subscription💋
Just a fun little aside, Mia Farrow has suggested that Ronan Farrow could be Frank Sinatra's child although no proof exists. Scroll down here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronan_Farrow
This might be my favorite Xmas ornament that I have ever knit.... I have knitted it twice, and it was a huge hit both times! ravel.me/swinging-kitty-ornament
Puzzled as to why the first thing you say every time is that you're married. Being married is not that big a deal, it's pretty old hat these days, you know, common 😂😂😂
Good to see you again. I am behind, work and personal stuff. Thanks for all you do.
Just subscribed. You guys are lovely! Looking forward to watching previous and new videos.
Yay! Thank you!
I now live in CO for past 27 hrs but am MI native through college (born in U.P.) so I enjoyed your shots of Great Lakes.
I missed you!!! You do not realize the joy, when my phone alerts me you’ve uploaded a video!!!! Today was an audible squeal of joy!
*hugs*

I'm watching the movies along with you guys! It's a fun diversion from my day to day world.
I'm sorry the boarder was closed, I live just north of the boarder! Lake Superior is beautiful. Happy Belated Birthday John.
Really enjoyed the outdoor picture share, looks similar to Nova Scotia in spots. Much love to you both! stay safe XX
Knitting, Agatha Christie and Angela Malsbury...super happy to have found your channel!
Have you seen Giaccomo the Jester with a very young Ange?
You’re back!! Can’t wait to watch 😬

Happy Birthday! Hope it was a great one. Love you guys
That Vorne/ Borne (?) sweater is stunning. Also, "that was an interesting way to frame that"- (tee hee!)
Really looking forward to the Christmas choir concert! Will you send out a link to us subscribers? Hmm, I'm in Sweden, so I might watch it later due to the time difference. Btw: I've never managed to get a glass of wine last for that long...😂

I have missed watching your antics. I can't help but think that things started getting really bad after you guys went on break.
Interested to know where you stayed? Vrbo?
I used to hide in the back of the library reading VC Andrews because I was *definitely* not allowed to read that.
Great episode! I have watched along with the Angela Lansbury when I can.

Scott, for Christmas gifts, check out the gnomes, by Sarah Schira. ADORABLE!!
I saw Hocus Pocus in theaters but not in love with it. I was like in middle school.
I'm participating in Arne and Carlos's December KAL of their 24 new Christmas Balls. I think it was their last RUclips post on Sit and Knit with Arne and Carlos.

Agreed!
Oh please tell me what your cat is "looking at" ...
Puzzled as to why the first thing you say every time is that you're married. Being married is not that big a deal, it's pretty old hat these days, you know, common 😂😂😂
It's something we're happy to say and we've said it since the first or second episode. It's important not to take anything for granted.
